Basin 💐 will keep you in my thoughts. Glad to hear you are getting the screening and not have been fobbed off.

ALemonyPea · 31/07/2017 12:48

How worrying for you Basin. Hope the scan proves the GP right. Fingers crossed.

Well done on your loss Turquoise.

My home scales this morning were very unkind to me. I had food and alcohol over the weekend, so much more than I've had in months, no surprise of the gain. Back on it today, so far so good.

FoofFighter · 31/07/2017 14:22

Aw basin I hope it's all sorted asap

LollipopViolet · 31/07/2017 14:38

Hi all, gained a pound this week, which is annoying but I'll soon be rid of it.

Random question but do you ever have members' partners sitting in on image therapy? We had a new lady join today, and her DP sat through most of image therapy, but wasn't joining. I'm not sure how I feel about it tbh, it's good he wants to support his DP but I always thought of group as a closed session, members only type thing?

Groovee · 31/07/2017 14:45

Sorry about your Gain Lollipop.

Never had that before. But we don't know if she can't leave the house at all or has major anxiety which requires support. If she's brand new she may only have him there today until she gets more confidence. It took me 20 minutes to pluck up the courage to go on my first week.

LollipopViolet · 31/07/2017 15:38

There could be lots of reasons, I agree, Groovee. At my very first meeting, the consultant came and led me in as I was stood outside trying to pluck up the courage to walk through the door! Our group is quite small so it's lovely when we have new people join, as I say with having never experienced it before I just wondered if it was a common thing or not.

OwlinaTree · 31/07/2017 16:04

Try not to worry basin, you've done the right thing getting it looked at.

TurquoiseOwl · 31/07/2017 16:25

What are the rules of slimmer of the month? Just curious as I didn't stay for group, but someone put it on the Facebook group that they won it (from my group) and got their stone award today too...? My mum and I have been going for a month and have lost over a stone, so I'm curious if it's about something else.

TurquoiseOwl · 31/07/2017 16:30

Oh, I think she's from a different group (time wise) Grin would still like to know the rules though!

Groovester · 31/07/2017 17:01

Really touched at your replies lovely ladies. I'm considering going to the early morning weigh in this week just to see where I'm at and then I can weigh on home scales to see the difference. Plan is to weigh quickly and disappear though. Think I probably need to to see where I'm at. The idea of trying to maintain is a good one until I'm ready to get into the zone again.
I'm going to try and do the step up to cancer thing and aiming for 10000 a day on average. Anyone else doing it?

user95 · 31/07/2017 17:25

Hi everyone, hope I can join?!

Restarted SW this week, lost 4st last year on it and became slim & healthy but this year has been sooo stressful I've regained quite a lot back if not all of it. No excuse and a lesson has most certainly been learnt that comfort eating is just going to make me depressed, disappointed and unhealthy in the long term. I feel so stupid because I know better now and actually thoroughly enjoy the SW lifestyle so no excuse really, just silly old me! Lessons learnt.

Anyway, enough rambling. Been back on a week and already feel a massive improvement with my health, energy and also mentally. I don't weigh as I find when i exercise I become smaller but the scales say I weigh more which makes me super annoyed and makes no sense Blush so instead I'll be taking my inches each week on my waist, arms, thighs, back and hips....

Groovester · 31/07/2017 17:25

Also well done Losers and hugs basin xx

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 31/07/2017 17:38

Try not to worry basin' it sounds like your GP is confident it's nothing to serious

2lb loss for me which I'm happy about as it takes me just under the stone bracket so total lose of 10.5lb in 4 weeks

Thebluedog · 31/07/2017 17:47

Wow that brilliant Never

I'm back from my 4 days away and back n it before I weigh in on Wednesday. I've gone over my syns quite a bit, drinking too much and I had Haggis (my fav when in Scotland), but I didn't eat the batter and only a handful of chips, plus a meringue and a large wholemeal roll. So all in all I don't feel too bad and hopefully with a good few days I'll have maintained this week.

It's only my second week but I decided to join before my long weekend to try and ensure I didn't use it as an excuse to binge before starting SW

Trills · 31/07/2017 18:21

Basin hope you get your answers quickly - it's stressful but do try to believe the doctor when she says it's just a precaution.

Groovee · 31/07/2017 18:26

Turquoise I have no idea of the rules but when I go into the awards, it tells me who has lost the most weight that month. I then wrote it in the book that the Consultant has and she sorts it.

ALemonyPea · 31/07/2017 18:54

Welcome User95, good luck.

Turquoise, it's whoever has lost the most that month in that group. It's done on the computer, so no favouritism.

Managed a full day on plan after being off it since last Tuesday. 8.5 syns.

TurquoiseOwl · 31/07/2017 19:27

Definitely wasn't implying favouritism at all. I thought it was who had lost the most, but as she hadn't lost the most, I thought it may have been percentage of body weight or something. However, I'm pretty sure she was in the earlier group now anyway, but was just curious.

Thanks for the replies Smile

ALemonyPea · 31/07/2017 19:54

Oh I know you weren't, I was just saying that it can't be fiddled with so that the favourites win.

I've been SOM a few times, nothing exciting, you don't get a basket of goodies like SOW gets.

TurquoiseOwl · 31/07/2017 20:27

You get a sticker Grin

BasinHaircut · 31/07/2017 20:42

Thanks all. I've had a really nice day with friends and kept my mind off of it.

3.5lbs on for me tonight too! Whoops! I know I was bad over the weekend though, hopefully some of it is bloating.

Groovee You look ace, what a transformation!

Hello to all, I have been really shit over the last week but am trying hard to scramble back onto the wagon. I tried doing an online psychology of eating thing but, while other people were claiming it was amazing and they hadn't eaten all day, I was starving and eating more and more
I've been using the food planner thing on the Lifeline website to record what I have eaten and wonder if I am better writing it down. I'm not sure if this SP suits me totally, I think I'm finding it harder than the old red and green

Lollipop We have a few people come to our group with carers, one lady is in a wheelchair and has 2 carers with her. Having said that I do know a couple locally where he goes to everything she goes to with her, including pilates. It would drive me mad!

Turquoise Have you been going for a full 4 weeks after your joining week? I might be wrong but I have a feeling you have to be there for the full month and can't remember when you started

TurquoiseOwl · 31/07/2017 20:52

@IvorHughJarrs - my joining week was 5 weeks ago Smile so yeah. However, I think she was from the earlier group anyway. I didn't even think I'd have a chance at getting that, but maybe I do!
