I've worked the last few nights and it really messes with my eating pattern and I always seem to wake up desperate for carbs and junk. I've stuck completely to plan apart from yesterday when I had two slices of pizza with salad for dinner and that was it, going to try have an SP day today and tomorrow before weigh in but I just want biscuits Sad

Groovester · 30/07/2017 15:28

groovee you look amazing and happier too. Well done!

After 9 days off plan I managed a day back on it yesterday. Ok today thus far but I'm about to fall off the wagon. I'm seriously considering stopping sw for a bit of a break. I suffer with perfectionism (yes, really!) and I'm not being kind to myself re: food. Think binges then starvation etc because I obsess over weighing in.

However, I'm also wanting to lose another 2 stone. The school holidays have really thrown me off. Another 2 weeks then I will be back in a routine of cooking and work etc. Maybe I should give myself the 2 weeks then try from then as a fresh start and drive to target? I'm annoyed with myself and a bit confused.

For those who don't know me, I have lost 5 stone thus far.

TurquoiseOwl · 30/07/2017 15:37

@Groovee - you have done so well!

Weigh in for me tomorrow, definitely a loss, but will have to see how much it comes out as! Smile 4 days off plan though (not crazy, crazy) but still not great and the fact I have definitely still lost... Just proves how much you can eat really.

Groovee · 30/07/2017 18:37

Thanks everyone.

Groovester, you have come for far. Once school returns a better routine will form again for you. You could have a couple of weeks loosely following plan and then getting right back on it x

FoofFighter · 30/07/2017 18:44

Turquoise, I think personally it depends on how much you've to lose plus how bad your diet was previously. good luck for WI.

Groovester, as a fellow binger I understand Flowers just take it a meal at a time, not even a day at a time. That was advice I was given and it really did help.

Eaten a bit too much spaghetti and feel bloaty now.

Trills · 30/07/2017 18:59

BBQ today and 43 syns.

The only ones I regret were a mediocre burger. The rest were worth it.

I took along a big coleslaw made with fat-free yoghurt for the dressing and ate a lot of it, so that was at least some nice vegetables.

Trills · 30/07/2017 19:11

Other people thought the burger was nice. I thought it was a bit fatty. Is Slimming World changing my tastes already?!

ALemonyPea · 30/07/2017 20:23

Been off plan since Tuesday, have tried so hard to get with it, but life gets in the way. Tomorrow is a new day, back on it and hoping to get rid of this bread belly I've developed. Not had bread really in months, and had various types over the past week.

Off to catch up on the thread now.

ALemonyPea · 30/07/2017 20:35

Groovee, you look Fab! So jealous of your boobs though Envy

Trills, re syns, you can save them up to use on occasions, but make sure you have at least 5 a day if you're going to do it. I've did that from the start and didn't affect my 7 stone loss. I even had a 52 syn trifle one week and still lost 2lb. As long as you don't go over the 105 syns in the week, you'll be ok. Life is worth living, and you can't be miserable in a night out just because you're on a diet.

I was at a christening today, and wore a non stretch dress (size 12), with really high heels. Felt fab. Before I lost weight I'd not have gone as was too self conscious about my weight.

TurquoiseOwl · 30/07/2017 20:40

@FoofFighter - I know it's because I'm huge, someone with a couple of stone probably couldn't have had what I had this week and still lose. My diet wasn't awful before, but I think I had issues... Didn't eat all day, had nice healthy cooked dinner and then binge ate. There was definitely a problem. To be honest, I haven't even been that awful this week, probably haven't gone over my allowed calories, but definitely been waaay over my syns. Thank you Smile

LavenderRains · 30/07/2017 20:49

groovester I totally get you! I'm the same (twinny after all!!) I'm an all or nothing girl. These last few days of going up the hospital and grabbing a lovely M&S sarny and a coffee have led to me thinking oh sod it I'll have a cake. Hence the takeaway and trifle last night.
I think you should give yourself 2 weeks off then get back on it when everyone goes back to 'normal'
I know I'm gonna put weight on when I go on Wed but I need to find out the damage as a kick up the bum as I haven't been for 2 weeks

ibuiltahomeforyou · 30/07/2017 21:00

Groovester I am a perfectionist too and I totally understand the pressure you put yourself under.

The first time I did SW I got totally obsessed with the scales and would not drink all day on weighing-in day; would take laxatives, have days off work so I could take them etc. It got ridiculous and I gave up. This time (five years later) I am determined to be 'honest' - no skipping meals before weigh-in, drinking normally etc and just being easygoing about it.

Can you try to carry on measuring syns but accepting there may not be a loss? It'll then be easier for you to get back onto it when you're ready. So still have your Hex A and B but just go over your syns to help you stay in control, long term.

latedecember1963 · 31/07/2017 08:00

The day of reckoning has arrived and I'm off for my post-holiday WI in a couple of hours. Hoping a weekend spent helping DS1 move house and tackling our back jungle (garden) will have off-set some of the croissants.
Groovester, maybe you're having a rebellion after losing so much. Perhaps aim to maintain until you're back into the term routine again. That way you won't feel as though you've undone good work but it will have taken the pressure off you to enjoy what's left of the Summer.
Lavender, hope your Dad is improving. Hospital canteens aren't the most SW friendly in terms of what they offer and that combined with you being worried isn't great. You can only do your best with what's on offer.
I think we need a new acronym to go with NSV. NSDV for Non-Stretchy Dress Victory having read a couple of yesterday's posts. I don't think naturally slim people realise just what a big deal it is but it's lovely to read about feeling good about how you look and feel compared with in the past.

WeldMeDaphne · 31/07/2017 08:17

Groove, you look amazing!
Slightly envious of all these BBQs. I keep thinking at least our current lack of social life means that I can can stick to plan though I'd give my actual right arm for a cheesy BBQ burger
3lbs off this week, total of 16. Think I desperately need to up my water intake. In laws arrive tomorrow so steeling myself. My MIL is one of those people who just doesn't understand the need for anything like SW/ WW or any form of diet. And makes lots of comments. And generally makes me want to bury myself in a plate of chips 😂😂

FaithAgain · 31/07/2017 08:24

Morning all! I fell off the thread when a new one started. I'm just back off holiday and before that have been ill for a while (abdo pain that resulted in me being admitted to hospital for a couple of nights!). Still waiting for a diagnosis, loaded up on painkillers in the mean time. Both of these plus 'shark week' looming mean I'm certain I've gained (scales showed 7lb in total Saturday night!). I had a better day yesterday and I'm back to work today which help me to get back on plan. I can't weigh in until next week due to shifts so I'm hoping I can get a fair bit off by then! Trills my tastes have changed! I was staying in a hotel and was limited by food choices. I started craving fruit! I feel bloated and sluggish and glad to be getting back on plan.

FoofFighter · 31/07/2017 09:04

my tastes have definitely changed when it comes to salty and sugary things, they are unbearable! Even the little one's crisps I almost spat out, she won't be having those again (pombears!)

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 31/07/2017 09:23

Dreading weigh in day today I've been on plan 95% of the time but working nights just makes my body feel so out of sorts, going to buy s little note book today because for some reason I feel more in control when I write everything down and can look back and see what kind of day I've had rather then wondering if I've forgot to add anything, back in work on nights so always hard to stick to plan when I've finished a shift and crave everything in shouldn't

Groovee · 31/07/2017 09:53

@ALemonyPea I never had boobs as a teenager. Have gone from a GG to FF. so I do like them now.

Slept nearly 12 hours last night. Struggling to get up. So will just chill. I'm so tired after my op. But it could be my fibromyalgia.

Planning on a tuna sandwich for lunch. I really fancy one.

OwlinaTree · 31/07/2017 09:53

never, I write everything down each week! Definitely helps me keep on track. Useful if I have an unexpected bad week too, I can look back and see where I might have gone wrong! Usually it's too many trips to the cafe! Nights must be hard though, hard to track what counts as a 'day' I should think!

I've got two days where I should be able to be totally on track now, weigh in tomorrow pm. If weather nice tomorrow we are picnicking so that should be easy to manage. I'm going to have to take the kids to Morrisons Cafe for lunch though, the cupboard is bare and due to other appointments I'll never get round there and home again without total chaos if I don't feed them.

TurquoiseOwl · 31/07/2017 10:28

Good luck everyone weighing x

TurquoiseOwl · 31/07/2017 11:17

I'm so happy! 4 lbs off for me! Shocked!

I've done 1 st 6 lbs in 4 weeks Smile

latedecember1963 · 31/07/2017 11:36

Well done Turquoise!
I've only put on 2 lbs so I'm very happy. Eating lots of melon was such a good tip!
Off to the caravan on Wednesday for a week so hopefully walks on the beach will help me shift it.
Sorry not to be commenting on photos. They mostly appear as a box with a cross in it that when I click on it it says I need a different way to access them.

Groovee · 31/07/2017 11:48

Well done Turquoise.

Great weigh in result Late.

BasinHaircut · 31/07/2017 11:52

Well done turquoise.

Having a bit of a melt down here. Went drs this morning as I found a small white lump in my nipple at the weekend. Dr said it's just fatty tissue and is fine but examined my boobs and could feel fibrous tissue (I can't feel anything) on the same breast which she said is fine and not anything to worry about but has referred me to breast screening as belt and braces. I'm a bit freaked out even though she said 'not cancer' about ten times and nhs website seems to confer this.

Will try not to turn to food
