@Trills I measure myself every 6 weeks. I lost weight in 2005 and regretted not measuring. This time I can see a difference in the mirror. I have just had surgery so do have some bloating still but my hips look skinnier. Due to measure again on the 1st of August. I have lost 9 inches off my waist.

Thanks :) Definitely sound like it's worth it to see the different "kinds" of results.

If I think about it, I probably care more about how wide I am than how heavy I am, but it's easier to think about stones and pounds than it is to think about ounces.

Trills · 23/07/2017 20:02

Hah. That last word should be "inches".

Groovee · 23/07/2017 20:19

Lol. I just keep thinking 9 inches off my waist 😱.

FoofFighter · 23/07/2017 20:23

awesome difference groovee!

ALemonyPea · 23/07/2017 20:30

Great difference Groovee.

I only measured myself 2 months in, and then at target, so a years difference. Wish I'd measured myself at the very start.

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 23/07/2017 20:31

Wow groove what an amazing difference you should be proud!

Groovee · 23/07/2017 20:45

Thanks ladies. I'm not too enthusiastic about my now photo but I am 9 days post surgery and my bloating has been bad. I actually think I look pregnant 😂

If I can do it, anyone can!

BasinHaircut · 23/07/2017 20:55

groovee you look like a different person in those photos. I hope you don't mind me saying but you look so much younger now.

I've had a decent first day back on plan. Had all of my syns and probably could have had a bit more speed but overall I'm pleased. I had tomorrow all planned out pretty good, but by people-pleasing I've just agreed to have lunch at a friend's and I don't think it's going to be SW friendly (even though she is doing SW) so I'm a bit cross with myself about that. Weigh-in is tomorrow night and I am doing damage limitation here!

Re Crisps - Walkers French Fries aren't too bad syn-wise I remember - hopefully someone can hop on with the actual amount. Really like them too! I get weighed tomorrow.

Trills · 23/07/2017 21:04

That's a shame Basin - would your friend be pleased or annoyed if you suggested that you both make an effort to have a nice but on-plan lunch? I had a friend over for dinner on Friday (she is not doing SW) and did OK, with careful planning. I did offer her more gin, and icecream instead of yoghurt with the Eton mess.

trinitybleu · 23/07/2017 21:05

I made the roast chickpeas but they're soft ... I expected them to be crunchy. Any hints?

FoofFighter · 23/07/2017 21:43

Never tried them sorry but yes I'd expect them crunchy?
You're aware they need sunning as a tweak hope you don't mind me saying?

trinitybleu · 23/07/2017 21:47

Yeah was just trying as potential alternative to croutons or whatever for salad but given me a bad stomach so will probably just forget It!

Groovee · 23/07/2017 22:03

Thanks Basin, I think I look much younger too.

Hoping lunch will be ok for you.

I made some chickpeas from PON and they were bland. You fried them with paprika and chilli. Had chickpeas on holiday which were lovely. No idea what they had in them.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 23/07/2017 22:13

Managed to more or less stay on plan while at a BBQ today Halo

Groovee what a difference! How do you feel?

OwlinaTree · 23/07/2017 22:46

Hi team, lots going on! Lots of fun weekend stuff too.

I had a takeaway Saturday, was so lush! Back on plan today, pretty good all in all

B tomato, eggs, bacon, raisin wheats
L jacket tuna and Sweetcorn
D spag bol, cheese, berries, yoghurt, hifi

Weigh in Tuesday for me. One meal of plan in a whole week, so we shall see...

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 23/07/2017 22:54

Has anyone tried the SW waffles on the pinch of nom website? They look nice but don't want to order some moulds of there not very nice

Had an SP day today trying to make up for two dinners out this week and with weighing Day tomorrow so hoping for a STS

TurquoiseOwl · 24/07/2017 00:11

@FoofFighter - I'd feel a bit cheeky saying something. In all fairness to him, he admits he will keep going for a social thing (he says in group how he struggles to even leave the house because of weight related problems) and it helps him in that way, so I suppose it is good for him in that respect. However, it definitely isn't the most motivating of groups!

@Groovee - wow! You look great Smile

I haven't measured, but I've taken a clothed picture and not so clothed picture Grin at my biggest.

Does anyone else have fat related stretch marks? No babies here and I'm covered Sad I'm so gross.

Weigh in tomorrow and I'm feeling very positive and think I'm going to get my stone award (I know you've all told me not to weigh!) Blush

TurquoiseOwl · 24/07/2017 00:23

And honestly, my 'body magic' at work is crazy. I only work in a supermarket because I'm studying and my gosh. I've just got in and I feel like I've worked out for 6 hours. I suppose I'm not the fittest of people, so that's why, but doing all the shelves is hard!

TurquoiseOwl · 24/07/2017 00:24

That came across really arsey like there's something wrong with working in a supermarket and I was justifying it my saying I was studying. There obviously isn't!

Groovee · 24/07/2017 06:40

@ibuiltahomeforyou I definitely feel a difference. Hoping I can maintain when I get to target.

@NeverEnoughSleep1 I made waffles from slimming eats but adapted to the ingredients I have. I posted my waffle picture further up the thread x

LavenderRains · 24/07/2017 07:59

Welcome newbies
You look great groovee
I'm so glad I took measurements at the start as I find it hard to believe I've lost 5 stone.
I've lost 6 inches off my waist, 7 off my hips and 5 inches off each thigh😲
Not quite reached target and the last few weeks have been tough with leaving 'do''s, birthdays etc. Will expect a gain.
I've got a huge chocolate cake sat in the kitchen which I've had 2 slices from, it's so lovely Blush but I'm going to take it to work later.
Good luck turquoise! .....our group sometimes went on for well over an hour. I don't stay anymore, just weigh and go.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 24/07/2017 09:06

Good luck Groovee! I'm determined to get to target this time and STAY THERE - I got within half a stone but gave up last time Blushbut my mindset is better now, I think.

Turquoise I have a young baby and my stretch marks are part baby, part overeating during pregnancy tbh. I'm trying to moisturise them to help them fade not sure if that works!

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 24/07/2017 09:25

Thanks groove I've pinched your recipe going to try that, does anyone no where to get waffle moulds from or am I best just ordering from amazon

Had fresh fruit and green tea for breakfast today and going to have steak and vegetables for lunch and just having a look through SW website for some inspiration for dinner tonight after weigh in
