Boatsnack: it's Asda veggie chilli in a can, synfree - it's not bad for a quick meal, better if you can add some speedy veg to it, but I've got nothing in!

Trills · 21/07/2017 12:22

I will definitely need to get used to having the right sorts of things in stock.

ALemonyPea · 21/07/2017 12:41

Welcome newbies

Dc now broke up from school. Last summer holidays I lost loads of weight, so hoping I'll get to the lower end of my target within 4 weeks, just in time for my holiday.

Trills, mikado are only half a syn each if you need a quick choc fix.

Trills · 21/07/2017 13:30

Thanks :) I am more of a savoury person generally - any tips for savoury snacks?

Groovee · 21/07/2017 14:45

Welcome back Foof.

I like wafer thin turkey for savour snack with pickled onions.

My friend makes quark with Worcester sauce mixes in roasted peppers and puts inside wafer thin ham and rolls up,

Groovee · 21/07/2017 14:45

Welcome Giraffe

OrianaBanana · 21/07/2017 19:10

2.5lbs off today! Half a pound off two stone. It's motivated me as I'm three pounds off a healthy BMI so that's what I'm aiming for next week. Got to be super good. Finishing today on 12.5 syns with a strawberry gin and tonic yum x

ALemonyPea · 21/07/2017 20:42

Well done Oriana.

I have bought myself some little bottles of white Zinfandel. I really want to have one or two, but scared to drink in case I get the munchies (which I do when I drink). Really need to just get back on track and get to the lower part of target for my holidays. Gah!

Trills, I'm a huge savoury fan myself, would rather have savoury than sweet.

Synned things
Hula hoop pufts multipack bag 3.5 syns
Walkers sensations 12.5g bag 3 syns
Walkers fusions multipack bag 5 syns
20g salted popcorn 4 syns
Ritz crackers 1 syn each
Tuc crackers 1.5 syns each

Also usually have the following readily available in the fridge
Boiled eggs
Beetroot
Ham
Pease pudding (if you're a northern lass)
Carrot sticks

ibuiltahomeforyou · 21/07/2017 23:07

Welcome Giraffe!

Lemony your snack suggestions sound great. Every day this week for lunch I've had the Two Chubby Cubs bulgar wheat salad - it was a slight faff to make at the start of the week but has been really lovely and stayed fresh too!

Definitely going to try some more of their recipes. I also tried on a pre-baby jumpsuit today and think I could definitely wear it to a wedding I'm going to next month, I just need to insert a zip for breastfeeding.

We went out for a family meal last night and went completely off plan and it was nice at the time but felt so bloated and horrible afterwards which surprised me and ment to be going out with DP tonight for dinner and a few drinks so nervous about weigh in and it's actually taking away some of the excitement of going for some reason

Trills · 22/07/2017 17:40

Pease pudding hot
Pease pudding cold
Pease pudding in the pot
Five days old

I'm not actually sure what it IS though.... :o

ALemonyPea · 22/07/2017 17:44

Try enjoy yourself Never, and just reduce your syns to 5 for the rest of the week.

Pease pudding is a spread made with split yellow peas. Lovely and filling, great with ham.

BasinHaircut · 22/07/2017 17:55

Evening all.

Well, didn't stay on plan at all while I was away at the theme park. Didn't eat excessively badly but I feel like crap now. All bloated from the salty food. I'm also knackered and it's shark week Grin so just feeling a bit grim all round.

We have SW currys in the freezer and I've just made myself a huge pint of iced water to start flushing all of the crap out of my system. Weigh in is Monday so hopefully can do some damage limitation by then.

Next week is pretty clear and although next weekend I'm going to a BBQ on Saturday and the in laws for food of some description on Sunday I'm determined to have a whole week on plan.

Just need to find the motivation to do a meal plan and online shop later.

I like split yellow peas, I make dahl from them (red lentils for the base then split yellow peas to have some chunkier individual pieces)

TurquoiseOwl · 22/07/2017 18:23

First day off plan for my dad's birthday. I had 2 hifi bars today and then just the Indian. Fingers crossed I'll still do 2 lbs, so I get my stone award. It was the nicest ever ❤️

FoofFighter · 22/07/2017 21:19

Pease pudding is great for SP days too :)

Today I had grapefruit for my breakfast, scrambled eggs and salad for lunch, a light and free yogurt (lovely but no way am I paying £2.50 for 4!!)
dinner was bbq steak but it was a bad cut and didn't eat most of it :( with aldi risotto (2,5) and salad

just had some chopped fruit and about to crack open some red wine - always do and it's never going to stop so weight loss has to work around that, although usually it's well within my syns, maybe not this week after the pizza hut lunch.

lunch out tomorrow, going to go for the sunday roast I think.

Groovee · 23/07/2017 06:45

Light and free are £1.25 in Tesco just now x

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 23/07/2017 09:29

Welcome to everyone that's new!

Went out for dinner last night and it was lovely then limited myself to drinks afterwards, got weigh in on Monday so going to have an SP day today and Monday until weigh in and hope for a STS, going for a long walk with the dogs this morning then get some shopping in

I was told by a friend that Aldi have a low calorie wine so was wondering if anyone on here has tried it and knows if the syn value?

Groovester · 23/07/2017 11:08

Not on plan. Not weighing in this week. Feeling a bit crap but it is what it is. Struggling in the holidays with days out etc. Will endeavour to get back on track in a few weeks when we are all back at school and work and into a normal routine again.

Trills · 23/07/2017 11:18

Managed to stay within the rules for friend visiting Friday night, but lunch out Saturday was not amenable to counting. Posh Shepherd's pie, pudding, wine.

Friday's curry has plenty of leftovers, which is nice.

What are your top packed-lunch tips, other than "salad with chicken and fat-free dressing"?

FoofFighter · 23/07/2017 11:23

Trills I made a salmon and courgette frittata but added some cooked couscous to make it more substantial for when we went to theme park, it travelled well and filled me up :)

Trills · 23/07/2017 11:31

Frittata sounds great - thanks.

OrianaBanana · 23/07/2017 12:32

If you can be bothered, bento boxes are a great lunch. Rice, marinated chicken bits, nibbly things like crudités and raw veg xx

OrianaBanana · 23/07/2017 12:32

Sorry automatic kissing.

OrianaBanana · 23/07/2017 12:34

I was so pleased with the 2.5 off, was going to be totally on plan and aim for 3.5lbs off (distant but potentially achievable..) to get me into a healthy BMI next week. Instead I got stressed out, tired and headachy and ordered pizza. Now I just ate a muffin from Costa. Must knock this on the head and try and save at least some loss this week. Hmm
