Thank you Groovee and Lemony

2.5lbs off this morning which I'm pleased about. That's me back at a 5 stone loss but still 4lb over where I was a few weeks ago. I've had a think and I want to lose another 2 stone. I am going to relax it a little over next few weeks until summer holidays are over so that I can eat out etc without panicking. Will just mean I will have ups and downs for the next month or so.

LavenderRains · 20/07/2017 15:19

Well done groovester bloody hell tho another 2 stone?! Don't leave me behind!!Grin

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 20/07/2017 15:48

That's great groovester hope your feeling better

lavender cake would of been hard to resist 😂

Groovee · 20/07/2017 16:02

Trying the easy chicken curry off the SW website. It's easy enough. Just my head is mush lol.

Groovee · 20/07/2017 18:33

Easy chicken curry and Eton mess. Yum yum

Just done a shop, making some noodles for dinner.

I have a friend coming round for dinner tomorrow so making a slow cooker curry, some daal and rice. Think I can do all of that without using any syns so I can have a drink and maybe some pudding.

TurquoiseOwl · 20/07/2017 20:23

It's my dad's birthday on Saturday and we are having an Indian takeaway Shock me and my mum are sharing Grin it's our first day off plan, but we will be good all day.

I haven't weighed myself as much, but still in mornings and I'm happy with my loses this week, so I'm feeling optimistic about weigh in on Monday! Apart from the Indian...

Well done on the losses!

Trills · 20/07/2017 20:23

I'm looking at the website and expecting to see a page where I can type in a food and have it tell me whether watermelon is free or speed or whatever - surely that's the main reason people visit the site? So why is it not on the main page?

Trills · 20/07/2017 20:43

Turquoise Surely if you are getting Indian then you are all sharing?

You're not going to order individually and then your dad will just have the one thing he ordered, and you and your mum will have the one thing you ordered? Where's the fun in that?

ALemonyPea · 20/07/2017 20:46

Well done Groovee.

Trills, there is a whole database that tells you the syns. On the web page, go into my slimming world tools, and just under there there is a syns tools button.

Trills · 20/07/2017 20:51

Thanks for the tip Lemony - I thought it would be obviously findable without having to click through all the options. I didn't think I was looking for "syns" tools, I was looking for "is this food free?" tools, if you see what I mean :)

Does it have a list of free foods and healthy extras? I don't intend to carry my book around with me all the time but I might want to look things up while out.

ALemonyPea · 20/07/2017 20:53

Ah ok, I get you now. There is, I think it's in the weight loss planner. I don't use that though. That's on the app as well for when you're out.

Trills · 20/07/2017 21:02

Oh so I have to pretend to put it into the virtual diary in order to see it?

I guess I could do that.

TurquoiseOwl · 20/07/2017 21:05

@Trills - we all hate what each other gets, so nope, we don't share! Me and my mum like the same though Grin

Groovee · 20/07/2017 21:45

I'm on a roll. Think I am on the mend.

HEB waffles using my new waffle maker. Kids had normal waffles which made 6 lots 🙈. Think they were feeling 🤢 by the end. There's a batch for DH when he gets home.

I made mine from blitzed oats, 3/4 of a tea spoon of baking powder, 1/2 a tsp of sweetener, 2oz of natural Greek yoghurt, 1 egg and 1/2 a tsp of vanilla extract. Only took 4 minutes to cook.

Can I join the thread?! i joined SW last night for the 3 rd time of counting! I've previously lost a couple of stone on it but I NEED to do it this time. I weight 19st8 Shock . I'm in a completely different place mentally to anytime I have done it before. I have a wonderful partner who is incredibly supportive whom I would like to marry some time in the next couple of year, preferably not in a size 22 wedding dress! Also would love another child and need it off.

I've flown today, it has been so easy. My biggest problem is wine!

OwlinaTree · 20/07/2017 22:56

Hi team, welcome newbies.

trills, download the app on your phone for our and about that has a food search on it. Easy to use.

Those waffles look lush, I'll have to try those.

Ok couple of days for me, stayed on plan pretty well. Had a glass of bubbly and some popcorn tonight at a party, but think I'm within syns? Hard to know for sure!

Glad it's Friday tomorrow!!

IvorHughJarrs · 21/07/2017 00:37

I went out for the day with friends today and have not done well although nothing like the binge it would have become before now which is a small positive

Groovee · 21/07/2017 07:26

Welcome Orlando.

Well done Ivor. Holding back a bit shows how you are making changes. Back on plan today and you will be grand.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 21/07/2017 09:33

Hi all, hope your weeks are going well! I have discovered Skyr yoghurt, anyone else love it?

It's high protein and a bit less sour than quark!

Groovee · 21/07/2017 11:25

I like lidls Skyr.

Not tried the arla one.

FoofFighter · 21/07/2017 11:39

Hello all, back after surviving my wee trip away (mostly!) only one meal offplan, that was Pizza Hut buffet. Which I am now paying for with lots of trips to the toilet!!

I had an NSV whilst away, went to Next and even the size 16 jacket was too big for me! result! needed a 14 but didn't have, so checked out online when I got home.... to find they are "Over-sized" macs... BAH!!!!!!!

The boost was nice while it lasted! Bought some cropped jeans for £6 though so all isn't lost ;)

FoofFighter · 21/07/2017 11:40

oh and toady's menu is:

B: porridge heb, milk hea, berries
L: veggie chilli (asda syn free - I need to go shopping after! nothing fresh in!)
T: veggie and lentil dahl, sw chips.

GiraffeAHolic · 21/07/2017 11:51

Hi all, hope it's ok to just jump in. I'm on my first week of SW, went to my first group Tuesday evening and so far am really enjoying figuring out the hexs and syns. Set myself a target loss of just under 2 stone, so fingers crossed. Really pleased to have found people to talk to without driving dh insane!

Boatsnack · 21/07/2017 12:09

Is the veggie chilli a ready meal foof I've been looking for low syn ready meals from asda.

I'm still feeling pretty awful stomach cramps whenever I eat anything and really bloated. My scales are suggesting a 3lb gain and I wouldn't be surprised. Trying to stay on plan but it's hard when I feel this rubbish.
