I've just started. I need to lose 1.5 stone, but would be happy with 1. I'm struggling with lunches already, I can't eat salad everyday & need something quick for work.

ALemonyPea · 05/06/2017 14:15

Welcome newbies and well done losers.

Em, I agree, eatbwhat your body is telling you. You're at target, and you're likely to put on as your bump grows. You know your limitations, just enjoy your pregnancy and approach food with a wise head.

I craved spicy foods with all three pregnancies, really helped the heartburn, not. I necked Gaviscon like my life depended on it.

I generally eat well but I was awful when pg, especially with the last one! Hence why I joined sw!

Craved bananas and banana flavoured milk with my son, was drinking mcd milkshakes and yazoo all the time! Just ate rubbish with my daughters, really wanted sweet stuff and went off veg totally.

Em, listen to your body, you know how to lose weight now so try not to worry too much. Think of all the calories you are saving being off the booze!

Groovee · 05/06/2017 14:48

Well done Mutley.

Woohoo Green.

Welcome Pippin. I sometimes have egg muffins for lunch, I make them the night before and take them to work then have salad for speed. I often eat the night befores leftovers, so Jambalaya or pasta or whatever.

LavenderRainbows · 05/06/2017 15:44

Well done losers! Welcome newbies.

I didn't weigh in last week but I've not been very virtuousBlush
Had an iced bun in Costco yesterday which I read on here was 7 syns so that saved me a bit!
Had a few meals out with chips but sat and watched DH demolish a chocolate sundae which was over 1000 calories Shock I wasn't drooling at all much

I'm so close to target (10lb) but I seem to keep self sabotaging. Will see what this week brings when I get on the scales.

BasinHaircut · 05/06/2017 17:54

Only half off, BUT it was a different venue tonight and we were weighing on carpet so I'm hoping that that is disguising a bigger loss.

Total 17lbs off so far and 2lbs to target.

Groovee · 05/06/2017 18:13

Well done Basin x

Notlostjustexploring · 05/06/2017 18:53

Thanks for all the encouragement. My halo is looking a little shinier today. I've managed to reach almost 7pm with 4.5 syns to my name, so I'm going to have some dates along with my yogurt to bring my syns into range, so feeling very pleased. Less pleased about my bathroom scales, which I think aren't weighing consistently, but can I stop standing on them? Can I heck.

Well done being so close to target, basin!

Em, I think I only ate white carbs for at least several weeks during early pregnancy , with the occasional dry roasted peanut. (Surprised I didn't get scurvy). I think all bets are off in the first trimester to be honest, food wise. Anything that will stay down!

Pippin, how about a Spanish omelette, if you like eggs? They are quite easy to make if you remember that you're cooking one and remember to switch it off before the fire alarm reminds you and they're delicious chilled.

lavender twinny. Matching cushions (almost...different colours!)
Struggling to not have any syns. Think I will just have to accept a maintain or gain on Thursday...

Weighed in a day early here and was very brave and even stayed at this strange group for image therapy. They were quite a nice bunch, but cant wait to get back to my normal group, but that wont be til 2 more weeks due to a work meeting next week.
So 2lb off for me! YAY!!!!! Dead chuffed with that. I am back now to where I was before alcohol/chocolate-gate! Grin

Off to see Robbie Williams tomorrow night - hence the early weigh in. DD1 and Dfriend are getting an early boat so we can go and indulge at yo sushi before the evening. Cant wait. Definite day off plan. Back on it on Wednesday morning and I refuse to feel guilty! So flippin excited. Its been my dream for years to go to see him and can't believe I actually will tomorrow.

ClickHip · 05/06/2017 21:40

Hello ladies. Mind if I join in? I'm nearly 4 weeks into plan. Maintained last weigh in which I was really disappointed with because I've really stuck to it.

Just wondering....I don't always have syns. Some days none, some days 12. I tend to use then on g&t Grin. Does this matter??

Also. Been feeling really bloated. Wondered if anyone I've else been like this??

ALemonyPea · 05/06/2017 21:40

Well done PA. it's a known fact that if you have a treat day on the day you're supposed to get weighed, then that day doesn't count. Have a brilliant time.

Hi all, newbie here. I'm on my 6th week and almost 1 1/2 stone down (I am hugely fat so it's now as impressive as it sounds), hoping to get that tomorrow. Finding it surprisingly ok considering I have done every diet known to mankind before, including this one!

I stay to group most weeks but the leader always starts late, tells us what the new article on the website is then splits the group down the middle and goes through the losses getting one person on each side to keep a total to see which side wins. Awards slimmer of the week and raffle prize and that is it. I'm really wondering if it is worth it but the time and location is convenient and I suspect I wouldn't lose without going. Are all groups this lacklustre?

LavenderRainbows · 05/06/2017 22:36

groovester we really are twinsGrin
Mine are from ikea.

PA enjoy RW. A few colleagues are going tomorrow too. Hope the weather is better, it's blowing a hooly here and tipping down. It's like bloody November!!

useyourimagination · 06/06/2017 07:16

So, my first day wasn't spectacular but it wasn't horrendous either. There were chocolates in the office and, yes, I had a couple. But I held back and didn't have as many as I might have done previously. So that's a small victory.

I've planned ahead for today, hopefully that'll help. I think I've got enough to keep me satisfied food wise and I'm out tonight so no opportunity for snacking.

The biggest difference is going to be cutting right down on the wine with dinner. It's more of a habit than anything so this is going to help hugely.

Just using this as a sounding board at the moment. If I tell you all, I'm more likely to stick to it - I'll let you know how I get on later.

LavenderRainbows · 06/06/2017 07:45

Good luck useyour sounds like a good start! If you don't crave chocolate (like me!) You can have your wine as syns. Not sure how wine measures up as I don't drink it much but someone here will tell you.

Groovee · 06/06/2017 08:00

Good luck imagination.

Weigh in tonight but no idea how I have done this week. The costco cake last week has been pulled back. But hoping I have had enough speed.

OwlinaTree · 06/06/2017 08:10

Morning all. Hope Robbie is good live. So long since I've been to a gig, I'm really missing socialising at the mo. The downside of breastfeeding!

Weigh in for me tonight. Hoping I'll have a loss. Sts last week, but I've stuck to plan this week. I've had a couple of compliments this week on my weight loss, so who knows? 1.5lb off will get me my 3 stone award so fx!!

Anyone else weighing in today?

Boatsnack · 06/06/2017 09:40

Enjoy Robbie PA I'm massively jealous I have been offered tickets for murrayfield on friday but can't get a babysitter 😭 I have saw him twice at hampden, close enough to touch at one point.

EM all I ate when I was pregnant was rare steak and BBQ Beef Hula Hoops for 42weeks it's a wonder I didn't give birth to a baby werewolf.

So today's the day for first group, I'm really nervous I hate talking to new people. 🙁

Groovee · 06/06/2017 14:32

So having a wee chill! Doorbell goes with a man delivering 2 pizzas. It's blinking weigh in day. But Dd has ordered it for her lunch and not told me! So I told her I sent it back. Her face was a picture. 🤣😂😣

shamoffour · 06/06/2017 16:24

Boat just being nosey but did you have a boy?
I always craved mango and sweet things with the girls and meaty things with the boys.
Good day today so far.

Boatsnack · 06/06/2017 16:37

Sorry to dispell your theory sham but she's definitely a girl. I think it was my bodies way of upping my low iron.

I went to my first group today it was good, the scales weighed me 2lb heavier than at home but I was expecting a difference because my scales are rubbish. Hopefully the support network will keep me on plan.

Greenteandchives · 06/06/2017 17:01

Hello all, just reporting that I have lost 2lbs this week. It has taken me 7 weeks to lose 8 and a half lbs, so this is massive for me, and brought me a shiny sticker for my half stone.
As I said, I don't have a massive amount to lose, and someone in my group lost 7 lbs this week alone, but I am feeling very happy with my results so far. Good Luck everyone. SW works when you stick to it. Halo

ALemonyPea · 06/06/2017 17:13

Welcome newbies and well done losers

1lb off for me, 2.5lb to target. Doing a full week of SP so hoping to get it next week. Wish me luck!
