Morning all! Loving all of these size 10s! Grin

Today is my first day back on plan and so far so good but I've only had breakfast, a banana and a coffee.

Having lunch out at the shopping centre so that should be tricky. Will try and have a baked spud and chilli or beans I think.

Tonight we are having pad Thai and the kit is 17.5 syns so 9 each between me and DH. I've had 2 syns for sugar in coffee already so only 4 syns to play with.

Feels good to focus my mind on SW again, I haven't been in the zone properly for a while. This month will be tough though as it's birthdays galore. Nights out and meals out to contend with. But I'm determined to get a loss each week and hopefully get that target back in my sights.

ALemonyPea · 01/07/2017 12:50

You should be able to Nacho. I didn't have to out holidays in when I had surgery, my consultant put an override in when I got back for medical/hospital. Just speak to your consultant and let her know.

I'm back in the game, total day on plan yesterday, only had 1.5 syns and felt great.

Weighed myself this morning, bloody hell its bad! However, I can get it off as it's likely just salt from takeaway and biscuits so a few days low syns and at least I'm not getting weighed next week.

My addiction for subway salads continues, shamefully the staff at my new local one know my orderBlush

Glad to see you back on plan Basin, target here you come.

In the interests of sticking to plan, I'm going to start posting up my dinners again, hope nobody minds! Tonight is Chicken pad Thai with lots of extra veg, served with sugar snap peas. 9 syns. Awesome.

Good luck Nacho, that sounds a bit daunting but I bet it will be worth it in the long run.

Lemony at least it's an addiction to salads, could be much worse!

That looks lovely Basin.

After a crappy week not particularly on plan , I lost a pound. Not quite sure what's going on with my body but never mind, I suppose a loss is a loss.

Boatsnack · 01/07/2017 21:38

Just trying to catch up but the thread's moved on loads. I'm back from hols and despite my good intentions I pretty much have eaten fry ups and crisps for a week. Then lots of wine on top I'm dreading facing the scales on Tuesday. Heading to work tonight then nightshift again tomo aiming to eat really low syn and cross my fingers for only a small gain.

Groovester · 01/07/2017 22:40

In a similar position here boat - eaten crisps, white bread, butter, biscuits and sweets for a week. Skipped weigh in on Thursday but will return this Thursday coming. Line is drawn tonight and will be back to it tomorrow. Feeling fat, bloated and disappointed in myself.

NachoAddict · 01/07/2017 23:19

Thanks everyone. I am strangely ex iated aboyt it.

Holidays are thefe to be enjoyed, draw a line underneath and get back to focus but don't beat yourself up over it.

Basin I love looking at food pictures. I must be driving my Insta followers mad with my meals. Highly recommend the fish pie recipe although I did add syns of cheese on top. I can't give it up but synning it keeps me in line.

Groovee · 02/07/2017 02:33

Am wide awake in the airport hotel.

We are getting up in 45 mins! Car is parked at the parking. Can't wait to drop off the luggage.

BasinHaircut · 02/07/2017 08:27

Oh god yes boat and groovester, same here! Took advantage of so much white bread and butter on holiday.

Now I'm back I appear to be having trouble pooing (sorry). I feel so sluggish and yuk, and can't wait to get back to normal!

ALemonyPea · 02/07/2017 08:54

Have a lovely time Groovee. Where are you off to? There are no syns on holiday.

We are going to DLP in August, I've planned everywhere we are eating, so excitedly?,

Basin, I've been the same, hope the sluggish feeling goes soon.

Morning all, had a lovely evening catching up with friends last night, meal, booze etc.

Really want to get back on plan today but we are all going out for breakfast in a bit so I'm not sure whether there will be any sw friendly choices! Will be back on plan by lunchGrin

ALemonyPea · 02/07/2017 10:28

Another day, another white thread on MN about SW and mullerlights. Seriously, why does everyone think everyone doing SW eats them? I can't stand them.

OP posts:
FaithAgain · 02/07/2017 10:29

I've done SW for 8 months, lost 3 stone and got to target without having muller lights or mug shots!

FoofFighter · 02/07/2017 10:33

Starting to think that they are being deliberately put there by rivals now Lemony especially after the one I got drawn into this week that got fed back mysteriously to rebelfit on Facebook and shared there.
Not wasting my energy replying again although am reading

In 7 weeks I've had one mugshit because it was in the sow basket and I was ill
I don't think I've had a muller light yet.
My group don't push them at all

FaithAgain · 02/07/2017 10:42

My consultant doesn't encourage them either actually. I hate the fake sweetened taste. I'd rather have proper food and syn it. I work with someone who is doing SW and her lunch often consists of a mug shot and a mullet light and I'm like Hmm it might be free but it's not very nutritious!

ClashCityRocker · 02/07/2017 11:08

Hallo all! I was on a couple of earlier threads but then dropped off.

Have stuck to plan though and am happy to report a total of 2stone 2lbd lost since the end of January.

It's been fairly slow going but getting there.. Quite a few holidays and high days have probably had a rather negative impact but that's life.

I'm exactly 11stone now and really want next week's number to start with a 10. I haven't been in the '10' range for a good decade!

ClashCityRocker · 02/07/2017 11:13

My consultant is also quite dismissive of mug shots and muller lights.

Loves quark though much to the disgust of most of the group! I don't mind a bit of quark.

The only irritating thing with my consultant is that she is a huge fan of M&S and often brings in packaging to show us. The groups in quite a deprived area and I know it's off putting to some members who can't justify £4 for 4 small burgers that wouldn't feed a family.

ALemonyPea · 02/07/2017 13:42

Welcome back Clash, and well done so far on your loss.

I've only ever had one mugshot, it was also in the SOTW basket, I had on mouthful and binned it. Minging.

My consultant doesn't push either of them. She does talk a lot about hifi bars. She claims she has one instead of a bar of choc. I call bull as she has never been to target. I understand her pushing them, given she makes a profit and they're SW.

Has anyone else been told SW are bringing out their own ryvita/scan bran type thing? Wonder if they'll be nice. I do like Ryvita, detest scan bran.

OP posts:
NachoAddict · 02/07/2017 14:25

Basin Scan Bran would sort that problem right out Grin

I like Muller and I do occasionally have a mugshot in work but it's not like I would have had an pistachio and avocado salad instead of I weren't on slimming world. I would have had a chop barm or a poy noodle. So they aren't the best choice but they are better than what I would if had....

FoofFighter · 02/07/2017 14:33

no idea what a chop barm is but it sounds delicious :D

NachoAddict · 02/07/2017 14:37

Ooppps! A chip barm or a pot noodle. Wow my phone just made me write that 3 times before it believed I meant chip and not chop.

shamoffour · 02/07/2017 14:53

Oops I named changed yesterday as I was on a thread about kids names (I posted what mine were) and forgot to change back so the random post from myboysnames was me!

Gah awful hangover but we had such a fun night. Back on plan today though.

ALemonyPea · 02/07/2017 15:06

You sock puppeting Sham Wink

Nacho, I love a chip butty. Mmmmmmm might ave to have one in a few weeks time.

I saw your comments in the other thread Nacho, have you tried Danone light and free yoghurts? They're much nicer than muller lights, although slightly more expensive. Normally buy them when they're on offer. My favourite is the cherry.

OP posts:
OrianaBanana · 02/07/2017 15:12

Oh no not another thread about mullerlights and mug shots. I won't even read it!

Although I shouldn't talk, I just had a sausage butty. Finding it hard to get back on track, I need to plan more. Roast beef for tea which will just be a syn for the gravy, won't have a Yorkshire; but maybe a G&slimline T in the garden... then onplan tomorrow.

Trills · 02/07/2017 15:20

Hi - I'm thinking of joining slimming world later this month (after I get back from holiday)

Do you have any tips on how to choose a group? Any way of telling what the leader/people are like ahead of time? If I pay for 12 weeks upfront and don't get the right feeling from the leader, can I move to another group?
