Sorry for not joining in the chat very much BTW, I am nearly always on my phone not a computer these days (DCs monopolise the computer when we're at home) and the thread moves so fast I find it hard to keep up. I do glance through most days though, it is very motivating. Some great losses this week.

Today is my day off and I have the computer to myself so I thought I'd check in. Lost 2lb this week, which meant I got my half stone award after three weeks about which I'm pretty pleased about, especially as we have eaten out twice this week and went to a party on Saturday. Another party this Saturday but I will be driving so hoping to stick to diet Coke and not nibble too much. I'm trying to be reasonably good on meals out, but can't bring myself to spend hard earned cash on boiled potatoes and salad with no dressing, so I am being super strict the rest of the time.

A couple of weeks ago I posted about my breakfast speed problem, I have been eating two poached eggs on a slice of wholemeal toast (I hate sweet stuff in the mornings, so never have cereal or fruit). I cook the eggs in a microwave egg poacher. This week I bought some of those giant mushrooms and have been putting one of those in the egg poacher with one egg inside it and having that instead of two eggs, I feel just as full and a bit more virtuous.

OwlinaTree · 30/06/2017 09:03

Sounds nice whoknows

Thanks faith, I'm going to try that, and start Hula hooping again.

LattesAndPilates · 30/06/2017 10:25

Welcome Mini! I started this week and also had that feeling of disappointment that I didn't join in January Sad but like Faith said - imagine where we'll be by Christmas! Grin

It's going to be a challenging week for me - out last night and tonight with friends, party on Saturday, work events on Monday & Thurs eve and travelling with work the rest of the week....normally in these situations I'd say f* it I'll start next week Confused - the only problem is I've done that hundreds of times and just keep piling weight on! Angry
So no matter how difficult it is this week I'm determined to make good choices!!
Halo yes i am, yes i am, yes i am Halo

mum2be88 · 30/06/2017 10:31

Hi all, hope it's ok to join in. I have been following the thread for a while! I joined SW (for the fourth time) 6 weeks ago. 11lbs down so far. I've got 5 stone to go until target. Enjoying it so far! This is the longest I've ever stuck at SW, and it seems to be becoming a way of life rather than a 'diet' which is what I was hoping for, because it's gonna take me a while to lose what I need to!
Favourite meal at the moment is definitely oaty syn free pancakes, I'm addicted! On mat leave at the mo so I have time to cook breakfast every morning.
Looking forward to keeping up to date with all of your progress 😊

Groovee · 30/06/2017 10:55

Welcome Mum

Good to hear from you Who

Good luck Latte

Weatherspoons I get porridge or fruit salad.

BasinHaircut · 30/06/2017 13:02

Well, let's just say I start back on plan tomorrow! Yesterday I went shopping on an empty stomach and whilst I shopped for the week well, I shopped for the day less well.

Today I've been out for lunch and I'm out for dinner too (forgot about it till I got to work this morning).

Oh well I've got till Monday evening to work off a bit of my 4lb gain. Lots of water, fruit and veg is on the menu.

NachoAddict · 30/06/2017 13:55

Hello to all the newbies!

I tried my first subway salad today, used 8 syns on cheese and mayo but it was delicious and better than a 22 syn sandwich which I usually get.

Glad you found the missing stuff Groovee

FoofFighter · 30/06/2017 14:02

Welcome Mini and Mum - we might be twins, also just had my 6th weigh, and a rejoiner with at least 5 stone to lose!

Re Wetherspoons, I just had the fruit bowl in the end as I honestly wasn't very hungry.
I've just had some Aldi packet risotto (tomato and red pepper flavour and added extra tomatoes) it was 2 syns for the whole pack, had a large bowlful, plus loads more left to freeze, it was ace! There are other flavours but with different values.

I heard that our local Tesco had cheap actifrys in, £59!!! Let's call it my stone award treat ;) too good a bargain to miss though.

ALemonyPea · 30/06/2017 14:06

Well done losers and welcome newbies.

Have had three days off, mainly binge eating which isn't great. I feel so bloated and bleurgh, back on it today though, head back in the game. Haven't had tons of bad foods, but more than I have had in a while. Have had a few crap weeks of real life stress stuff, so it was just a build up of that and getting my target gave me the green flag to eat. Haven't weighed myself as don't want to put a dampener on it all, so on I plod. Won't get weighed next week.

Have made a conscious decision to only get weighed every other week as now I'm a target member there's no need.

I've just stolen liberated a notepad from work to start a food diary tomorrow.

Really want to get back on it properly. Am going to join the gym next week too hopefully.

FoofFighter · 30/06/2017 16:10

Sounds like a good plan Lemony. How often do you have to weigh in to keep up your membership at target?

ALemonyPea · 30/06/2017 16:22

Once every 8 weeks. I'm going to do every other one while I'm still new to target, and once I manage to maintain and am satisfied I can, will reduce it slightly. The groups do help, well mine does anyway, lovely and supportive.

Hello, I'm new to SW and I'm wondering if this sounds OK :)
Breakfast
Poached egg, tinned tomatoes, beans 1 slice of brown toast (no spread) SW sausage. Muller light
Lunch
SW meatball pasta meal, green beans and sweet corn
Tea
Quorn, homemade potato wedges (no oil) mushy peas
Grapes, melon, fibre 1 bar

Thank you in advance :) I'm just trying to get my head round it all xxx

Groovee · 30/06/2017 19:15

Hi Lottie welcome. Looks ok to me but are you having a healthy Extra A choice?

Groovee · 30/06/2017 19:16

Wee NSV... size 10 dress for work

FaithAgain · 30/06/2017 21:21

Wow Groovee that's awesome! I had one on Wednesday, I had a photo taken. I looked and thought Oh I look thin then realised I wasn't even sucking in my stomach! Grin

Welcome Lottie. Pretty good food, plenty of speed. You do need an A choice like Groovee says. If I get to this time of day I use my milk to make a hot chocolate! 3 syns.

LavenderRainbows · 30/06/2017 22:51

Well done groovee I love that dress.
I'm actually thinking that the size 12 dress I have bought is a little loose! Surely I don't need a 10Shock I've not been a size 10 for over 20 years!!Grin
Welcome newbies.🍉🍒

NachoAddict · 30/06/2017 22:55

I really like that dress Groovee where is it from?

I had some exciting news today which means I get to cheat a bit on slimming world to get really good weight loss.... my teeth are ready for me to have double jaw surgery which means I will have my mouth wired shut for 6 weeks. Should certainly lose some weight from that!!

Groovee · 01/07/2017 05:55

Dress was the petite section in Dorothy Perkins Sale. 12 was sold out so tried the 10 on. It fitted but needs a few more pounds off which I can do as not back to work until August/Sept.

Groovee · 01/07/2017 05:55

Oh Nacho I made follow your jaw surgery journey as Dd needs it done x

ALemonyPea · 01/07/2017 07:52

Welcome Lottie, food looks good, make sure you have your A choice. For me it's all about the cheese. Hate milk, love cheese.

Well done on the size 10 Groovee and the photo Faith. I have a few size 10 tops, was shaking when I bought them, such a weird feeling isn't it.

OP posts:
ALemonyPea · 01/07/2017 07:53

Nacho, good luck with the surgery. You could put a hold on SW, your consultant can put you down as hospital leave, pick it up again when you're able to eat properly again.

NachoAddict · 01/07/2017 09:45

Groovee there are loads of blogs online that I have found really helpful. Shame for your daughter but it will transform her life.

Oh can you do that lemony? I will book leave. Slimming World friend upon liquid fruit and milkshakes.

myboysnames · 01/07/2017 09:50

MorningSmile
well done all the losers some fab losses!
Whit woo lav and owlina size 10 that's like proper skinnyGrinGrin
Nacho good luck with the jaw surgery.

Well I've been a bloody angel the last few days because I'm going out tonight and lots of wine will be involved. Im Planning on being good with food and having sushi to start with steak and salad for a main.
I'm also making homemade burgers and Sw chips which I will freeze today. I'm going to have them tomorrow when I'm hung over so I don't eat crap with my inevitable hangover!

FoofFighter · 01/07/2017 10:14

Lottie looks ok, but I'd personally replace some non speed veg/fruit with speedier ones, remember it should account for a third of each meal. Make sure your bread is a healthy extra one too x

Wired jaws sounds horrendous:o
