I find I don't get even a pang of hunger when doing SP - EE however... !!very prone to carb bloating and the crash and burn and crave cycle, but sometimes I just HAVE to have pasta

OwlinaTree · 26/06/2017 13:54

Most expensive way to lose half a lb ever!

NachoAddict · 26/06/2017 14:11

Hi all, not been on for a few days!

Had a few of the kids chippy chips on Friday and a bite of a giant éclair yesterday but been ok other than those and I have counted syns for them.

How do SP days work? I see a few of you do them, do they make a big difference.

FoofFighter · 26/06/2017 15:52

I do them as norm and throw in the odd EE day, esp if eating out as have more choice then. I do it not necessarily for fast weight loss, as I seem to lose the same 1-2lbs a week, but more because I can't get away with eating rice, pasta, potatoes every day of the week. I can't even get away with bread every day as a heb.

On the old red and green days plan, I had to do red most of the time as green days would make me put on weight despite being 100% on plan.

FoofFighter · 26/06/2017 15:54

There's a page in the book dedicated to SP (basically two hexb, one hexa, 15 syns and 50% speed and 50% protein meals.) also a section on the website. I'd recommend getting your consyultant to go over it.

NachoAddict · 26/06/2017 16:51

Thanks Foo I will ask her to run through it tomorrow.

What kind of meals do you eat then on a SP day?

FoofFighter · 26/06/2017 18:32

breakfast is as normal
lunch is usually something like a chicken and salad wrap, or soup and bread, cheese and ryvita crackers with pickles etc
dinners would be stuff like chlli, spag bol, curries, but with extra veg instead of the usual accompaniments.
Snacks on speed stuff first choice, protein as second choice, synned stuff my last choice. I don't use syns in a treats way like most do, mine goes on salad cream, gravy, flavoured quarks, an extra alpen bar etc

noodlezoodle · 26/06/2017 18:47

Good luck, Late and Owl - fingers crossed that you don't get an STS this week.

I keep forgetting about SP days - might try a few of those this week. They take a bit more planning for me because I don't do them regularly so I don't have a mental list of 'go-to' SP meals. I should just make a list so it's easier to do!

ALemonyPea · 26/06/2017 19:03

SP days are good if they work for you. Some people have great losses on SP days. I'm good at SP days, but don't have massive losses with it, I do them mainly to keep in control or pull back from a binge.

Thanks, Noodle.
Foof, it's interesting that you feel less hungry on an SP day. Today I've had fruit, baked beans on toast with grated cheese and salad and a veg omelette with side salad and 2 tablespoons of humous (3syns) and feel really full.

Going to spend this evening prepping for work tomorrow, making tomorrow's lunch box and ironing to keep me busy.

NachoAddict · 26/06/2017 19:47

I will plan a couple of SO days next week I think. They are pretty much red days it seems?

Just made diet coke chicken and mash with my laughing cow lights heA. It was so delicious I almost licked the plate clean. Will definitley make that one again.

Groovee · 27/06/2017 05:46

Weigh in day.

I've made a decision. If I don't get my 3st tomorrow, I've not to stress. I'll take whatever I get and look forward to going away. I'm having surgery in 2 weeks so my weight may go all over the place. Once I'm recovered then I can start again.

PositiveAttitude · 27/06/2017 07:38

That sounds like a good plan Groovee It's very damaging to beat yourself up with those elusive results. I hope you get your 3stone, but if not just enjoy your holiday anyway.

Why can I never poo on weigh-in day? Angry I have been on plan all week, written down everything I have eaten, not gone over on syns, not even for one day, but I am not that confident about tonight's WI. Hmm

ALemonyPea · 27/06/2017 07:48

Great attitude a Groovee. What operation are you having again! It's Gynaecological right?

PA, I can never poo on WI day, apart from afterwards. Very annoying.
Good luck!

D day for me today, I have been on plan 100%, drank lots of water, walked everywhere I could, and I had better have at least lost that 1lb to get me to target.

Em, how are you getting on? Not seen you in here in a while, hope you're doing ok. 💐

OwlinaTree · 27/06/2017 07:48

Good attitude groovee, you've done so well. How much do you need to lose to get 3st?

I really want a good loss this week as i have a wedding to go to Thursday, then a night out Friday and Saturday. No chance of a loss next week!!

Groovee · 27/06/2017 08:30

I'm having an ablation on my womb. Will be glad to get it sorted as bleeding daily since January is killing me now.

I was 1.5lb away from 3st then last week gained. So now 2.5lb. But what I have lost is an achievement in it's self as it is currently 2 stone 11.5lb. That in 24 weeks is amazing as I only ever planned a pound a week loss x

OwlinaTree · 27/06/2017 08:43

Looks like there's a whole load of us on tenterhooks today! I don't weigh in till 5.30,it's a long day !

Groovee · 27/06/2017 08:59

Yeah I'm 5.30pm too.

ALemonyPea · 27/06/2017 09:58

Oh Groovee, what a nightmare. I had a hysterectomy in February, best thing I've done. I only had one period a year, but it'd last up to 6 months at a time, and be constant flooding. Good luck!

OP posts:
Groovee · 27/06/2017 10:26

@ALemonyPea that is me, some days is flooding others is manageable but my iron is so depleted. Cannot wait to get off the mini pill. They said it would stop my periods.. 😂 one long one and permanent pmt.

NachoAddict · 27/06/2017 12:47

I hope this Op sorts you out Groovee, nothing worse that constant bleeding, really has an effect on your life!

I weigh in today too, 5.00... I have been on plan, synned everything, stayed within my syns but the scales at work I know don't do it but I can't help it are showing a STS, they have been moved though because the ladies toilets on our floor are having a refurb. Really hoping they are wrong.

Good luck to everyone weighing tonight!!

Oh I tried Diet Coke chicken last night, it was actually really delicious!

shamoffour · 27/06/2017 14:11

Hi everyoneSmile realised I'd not posted for ages. I've been plodding along doing a combination of sw and 16:8. It's been going ok and I've lost 8lbs over the last few weeks.
Lemony everything crossed for today!
Grovee that must be exhausting. I bled for 6 months on the implant I felt awful you've done so well losing so much when you must feel knackered it's so much harder if you're not feeling good.
Em I hope things are all going well for you.

Well done all the losers everyone seems to be doing so well.

Weigh in for me tomorrow, just started my period combined with a toddler who laughs in the face of sleep is not boding well for an on plan day!

I'm also stuck in with only 2 kids and Ben and holly for company waiting for a man to hopefully come and fix my boiler as we have no hot water. Yay!!

ALemonyPea · 27/06/2017 14:35

I've only gone and bloody done it! 2.5lbs off, 7 stone award and target met. Absolutely elated and have celebrated by having a Big Mac meal from McDonald's haven't been home yet to have my cake.

Now comes the hard part of staying within my range. Having a day off today obviously, but have a book to read and then maintaining here we come.

Nice go see you're doing well Sham. Well done on the loss

OP posts:
Groovee · 27/06/2017 14:57

Nacho hope the scales are back next week to the right place.

Sham, great loss.

Lemony whoop whoop 🎉🎉🎉🎉

OwlinaTree · 27/06/2017 15:27

Well done lemony, that is a brilliant achievement, you should feel very proud of yourself. Enjoy your celebrations!
