Elevenerife! Grin love it!

Wishing peaceful weekends to one and all. I'm off for lunch at a local Toby-a-like place. got a free meal voucher and a free dessert voucher, that's going to sting to give away that one :(

I had a decent handful of DP's leftover chinese chips last night :/ really cross with myself! there were more but I squirted fairy on them to stop myself.

ALemonyPea · 24/06/2017 18:35

I've survived so far, to been off plan and only used 6 syns today.

Just had a BBQ. Was yummy and I avoided all the high synned stuff.

PA, it's awful when you're outed, it feels like an invasion of privacy, even though it's an open forum. You could always ask MNHQ to remove anything you're not happy about them reading.

I've only been outed once, and it was by my best mate. Was quite funny. She still posts (I think) as do I. I'd never post anything I'd not speak about IRL in this name, and for more personal stuff I name change just for that thread.

I'm annoyed. Got DH to get me a subway chicken tikka salad but when he got home it didn't look like chicken tikka. Turns out it was chicken chipotle. DH just didn't care and cannot see what my issue is!

On the plus. One of my dresses in out of the suitcase as it's huge. It was from 2008!

ALemonyPea · 24/06/2017 21:47

LTB Groovee!

Well done on the dress. Burn it in celebration, or make a DH shaped guy, dress it in the dress then burn it.

Groovee, sorry about your reflux. I'm reducing my reflux medication at the moment and I feel TERRIBLE, ugh.

After another week on plan, I... STS again. Well technically I lost 3 ounces but that's hardly worth celebrating. I tracked everything on MFP this week as well to check my calories and I was below 1400 cals every day. I just don't get it.

Having a massive sulk and a day off plan. Back on it tomorrow I suppose although I'm not entirely sure what the point is at the moment.

OwlinaTree · 25/06/2017 08:29

Sorry to hear that noodle, have you got a lot to lose? How much have you lost so far?

My weekend of sticking to plan is going well, cafe jacket yesterday with Coronation chicken that was mainly dressing! Left a lot of it so hopefully ok. Had chilli for tea 1syn in that. Dh had his with cheese, guacamole, pitta bread etc. I resisted!! I did have a bit of his peanut butter oreo chocolate though, mmmm! Only 4.5 syns worth.

Am determined to stick to it today too now. Really want that last lb off! Plus got two nights out next weekend so I'll be off plan and boozing then!

FoofFighter · 25/06/2017 10:09

Anything we can help with? Are you 💯 on plan and measuring stuff? Eating too much free food as snacks instead of speed first choice? ETing too many syns? Not enough?

ALemonyPea · 25/06/2017 11:27

How annoying Noodle. I've been there myself, it's disheartening when you've been on plN but not lost.

What do you have for your B choice? Might be worth looking at switching it slightly?

OP posts:
Seesawannie · 25/06/2017 13:40

Noodle; maybe you are being too strict with yourself and not eating enough. I've thrown in the towel so many times after std and being on plan. I wasn't eating enough and had to up my portions slightly.

noodlezoodle · 25/06/2017 17:53

Sneakily weighed myself again this morning and I'm 1.5lbs lighter today so who knows what's going on! My period started early, went away and then came back again this morning so maybe it's related to that?

I've got 1.5 stone to lose and I had lost 10lbs but put it all back on again. I thought I was properly on plan but I wonder if I'm estimating my syns wrong, will weigh everything this week to check.

Lemony I normally use my HEB on weetabix for breakfast, might try egg muffins this week instead and shake things up a bit.

Thank you everyone for your support, I love this group!

FoofFighter · 25/06/2017 17:56

Yes estimating syns can lead to trip ups. I use app called slimit to track them and my HExes.

I'd also throw out your scales and weigh once a week only, if you're not at group, use a friends scales or go to a Tesco or Boots (get handy printouts then)

Groovee · 25/06/2017 18:16

I use slimit too to record my HE's and my syns.

Groovee · 25/06/2017 18:43

I went to Bravissimo today. Was a 40GG before Christmas 36FF today. I was sort of between a 34 and 36, so went for the one fitting best and giving a nice shape.

PositiveAttitude · 25/06/2017 19:14

Noodle It's so frustrating when your body doesn't do what it "should" do. I hate it when I have STS or even put on and had been expecting a loss. It's happened a number of times to me, but it is worth just plugging away and it does shift eventually. This week I have been writing down absolutely everything that has passed my lips just to keep me mega focused. I will see if this has worked on Tuesday.

Yesterday I had a very long day of travelling to visit DD2 and DGS. Lovely, lovely day and we took DGS to the park and he went into a swing for the first time ever. He is doing amazingly well and is just the scrummiest little boy. He is so happy, he just seems to be happy to be alive. Anyway, on days when I head for London I always grab something at Waterloo for the train ride home, which generally puts my syns up for the day. But yesterday I nearly missed the train and had no time to grab anything, so was absolutely starving by the time I arrived home at 10pm, too exhausted to cook or even to eat, so went to bed. WOke up this morning and I could have eaten a horse.......and so today has been a nightmare. Made even worse by the fact that I had invited friends over for lunch, so did a big buffet. Some of it was SW friendly, but some most definitely was not and due to my hunger issues today I have had way too much of the non-SW friendly stuff. I am hoping the 16,000 steps I did will somehow even it out.

OwlinaTree · 25/06/2017 19:39

Glad the grandson is doing so well pa. Great NSV groovee!

Feeling annoyed today. Went to our local zoo which we are members of. They have recently changed the cafes around, so there's a posher, restaurant style expensive one and a Costa style one with sandwiches and jackets. Except now they have stopped doing jackets!

So the whole zoo catering is full of chips, pizza, sandwiches etc. They have a salad on the posh menu but it's over £9, which is a bit much for a lunchtime. I'm so annoyed, we go there such a lot and now I can't eat anything. Do you think it's worth emailing them or will I just sound daft?

ALemonyPea · 25/06/2017 19:44

Definitely worth switching your B choice around a bit.

Lovely to hear your grandson is doing well PA. draw a line under today and start a fresh tomorrow.

Owl, definitely worth emailing.

Well twat face has gone, I can relax. Managed to not binge eat despite the sheer amount of old there was in the go. Today everyone was having little Victoria sponge cakes for pud from Costco. They looked amazing. There is still one in the fridge, and if it's still there on Tuesday after I get weighed and have hit target, it shall be mine.

Thanks lemony. That cake has your name on it! Well done surviving the visit.

Groovee · 26/06/2017 08:30

Made weetabix muffins for breakfast and had Dd claiming I had made sausages and was hiding them from her.

Am making roast pork now, so just chilling while that cooks.

Planning egg muffins for lunch.

Groovester · 26/06/2017 09:33

Good morning!

Plodding away here. Thursday and Friday were good days, I had a relaxed Saturday (not stupidly so in comparison to last weekend) and a few syns over on Sunday too so I have to reduce my syns over the next few days until weigh in on Thursday again. I'm not going to be stupidly strict though. My husband has said I should maybe think about trying to maintain now rather than continuing to lose. I do want to hit the 6 stone award though first. I'm about 10 lb away.
The only thing is that according to the bmi chart, I'd still be in the obese section. I'm fitting into size 14 now comfortably and generally happy. Delighted that I can buy clothes in any shops now and can choose what I like rather than what will fit!
Will need to ponder...

FoofFighter · 26/06/2017 10:44

Been shopping and forgot my quark arghhh, can't be bothered going back again now either just for that when I know I will be going past the supermarket tomorrow anyway, so thinking cap on for an alternative breakfast!

FoofFighter · 26/06/2017 10:45

Just realised that probably doesn't make much sense really! I do overnight oats/cereal with the quark as mostly do SP days, and don't have much time in the mornings to make anything more than that.

I gave my dd(3) some of her own overnight oats, with her soya yogurt, nearly every mouthful was met with an ohhh this is so yummy, etc etc, think it's a hit!

Groovee · 26/06/2017 10:59

I love my quark x

ALemonyPea · 26/06/2017 11:44

Groovster, I'll still be in the overweight BMI. Go with what you feel comfortable at, not what others say (as long as not stupidly underweight).

I love quark, have just had quiche made with quark. Yum!

Morning everyone!
Lemony, you've definitely earned that cake!
Owlina, I think emailing the zoo café is a good idea. If enough people complain it might make them change their mind.
Noodle, you & me both. I've just WI and STS for the 4th WI running. When I'd lost a stone it looked like losing 1 1/2 stones for my holiday was doable but I'm beginning to lose hope now. My consultant has suggested I try SP days which would be completely new for me and might give my weight loss a shake up.
I've just had a bowl of melon & raspberries and will make the cheesy beans for lunch. I'll do normal days on Tues, Weds & Thurs as I don't want my tummy rumbling when I'm working.
On a daft note, I saw the other day that NSV means none scales victory. In my head I'd translated it as new size variant but none scales victory makes much more sense!

OwlinaTree · 26/06/2017 13:54

Constant sts is rubbish. If I don't get a decent loss this week I will have lost half a lb this month!!
