Evening All, Just had a mammoth read through as not been on for a few days.
I've been an arse this week. Thu-Sun I was off plan and ridiculous. Decided I would skip class to allow myself time to claw it back but then remembered that I'm in a countdown so decided to go after all. This resulted in my practically starving myself from mon-lunchtime today. I've survived on fruit and 2 eggs for an evening meal.
I lost 4lbs but not healthily at all. Sad

Groovester · 22/06/2017 20:57

Posted too soon!

Anyway, back on plan now and made chicken stew with orzo for dinner. Lovely!

Oh Groovster, that's not good, back on proper food for you. Don't do that again!

I'm now a size 10/12 depending on the shop. I was a 22 (20 in leggings) when I started. Not healthy at all, got out of breath walking, my joints ached. I feel so much better now, and I love shopping now.

Oh Groovster. The stew looks lovely, how do you make it?

Groovester · 22/06/2017 21:31

Hi Groovee,

It's a one-pot wonder.
Soften onion, carrot and celery.
Add in some chicken.
Add in good pinch of dried basil (I use basil and mixed herbs), new potatoes, orzo (prob about 125g), salt, pepper and enough chicken stock to just cover everything.
Later on add in peas and sweetcorn. Keep it on the heat til the potatoes and orzo are cooked. Needs stirring every now and again to stop the orzo sticking.
Voila!
I served on spinach for extra greenery. I only took a few potatoes as didn't want to overload on carbs. You could add in any veg that you wanted to though - it's that kind of dish.

This fed 2 adults and 2 children and there's enough for my lunch tomorrow and the kids will be eating it for dinner again tomorrow too. It doesn't freeze brilliantly because of the potatoes though.

Boatsnack · 22/06/2017 21:44

That looks really good groovester

I'm on holiday next week, we are self catering in the UK so I want to stay on plan food wise as much as possible I'll definitely drink my syns twice over. Anyone got any tips for quick, easy, minimal washing up type meals I can make in a caravan please.

NachoAddict · 22/06/2017 21:47

That looks lovely Groovee I love Orzo!

Hi Trinity congrats on the loss, 8lb is huge.

FaithAgain · 22/06/2017 22:22

Welcome back Trinity, sounds like you're back on track!

Groovester I hope you're able to settle back to a balanced way of eating now! Fwiw I managed to balance out a 100+ syn blowout on Friday with a couple of SP days and managed to maintain this week. Side note - don't try SP days when you're working a 10 hour shift that involves walking 5 miles! Feel rubbish now!

OwlinaTree · 22/06/2017 23:11

Well done Minnie. Great NSV on here too!

Groovee · 23/06/2017 05:41

Thanks Groovster. May try it after my holiday x

OwlinaTree · 23/06/2017 09:27

Ok, going into the weekend now, and I'm on this! I've not been to the cafe all week, so have had some type of salad for lunch every day, including today. Have managed 10,000+ steps most days, a bit too hot Monday and Tuesday but managed the other days.

No particular plans this weekend, so will try to get some activities in, no booze and careful in the cafe, and all should be good. I really want this last 1lb off to get my 3 stone! As I didn't get to group last week of course I have no idea if I gained after the hen party so just have to be really careful with syns this week.

Bring it on! Who else is planning an on plan weekend?

Groovee · 23/06/2017 10:32

I missed out on my 3st this week so 100% on plan with lots of speed x

ALemonyPea · 23/06/2017 11:31

My twatty BIL is here for the weekend so if I survive it it'll be a miracle.

Going to try my hardest, need that target, it's getting on my nerves now.

Groovee · 23/06/2017 11:57

Oh @ALemonyPea hope things get you through the weekend x

trinitybleu · 23/06/2017 14:16

Had a takeaway last night after a shitty day at work. Got to stop using food as a crutch. Planning day out at NT tomorrow so will make myself walk a fair way.

ALemonyPea · 23/06/2017 17:49

Can I come stop with one of you this weekend?

He'd got through the door, said he'd brought some crisps, they were new, but I couldn't have any because they're fattening and I need to watch my figure. Fucking twat.

Honestly, all I want to do is eat when he is here.

You have my sympathies lomony my in laws are down at the moment, they like to feed you as much rubbish as possible and then talk about me to other family members about how far I am and how dh could of done so much better. But everyone says 'they mean well', fuck off do they, they're just mean.

How long is your bil staying for?

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 23/06/2017 18:31

Sorry meant lemony

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 23/06/2017 18:32

For goodness sake FAT not far, flippin autocorrect

Groovee · 23/06/2017 19:14

Do you fancy Edinburgh @ALemonyPea?

ALemonyPea · 23/06/2017 19:36

He's here til Sunday. I ant stand him, he's just a twat. Belittles everything and everyone. Won't bore you with the 20 year history, he's just one of those ignorant people who if you've been to Tenerife he's been to Elevenerife.

Edinburgh isn't far Groovee, I'm in Newcastle.

Groovee · 23/06/2017 20:06

Not far at all, 90 mins on the train. Why are some people such eejits x

PositiveAttitude · 23/06/2017 23:13

Lemony well done on not lumping him one! He sounds like a real charmer!!! Hmm

I am definitely up for a 100% on plan weekend. I have been 100% since Wednesday after my gain at WI on Tuesday. Although tomorrow will not be easy as I am heading off at 6am to go and see my daughter and gorgeous grandson for the day. Not home til 10pm, so a long day - cant really take stuff to eat for the entire day but I am planning on sticking to mostly fruits and proteins during the journeys to keep me going.

A weird mumsnet week - I have been discovered twice by people I know in RL. First one I don't mind about, a lovely friend from primary school days, but today I was outed again. Hmm This time by someone that could learn a little too much about me and my family if they dig too deep! DS thinks this is hysterical as it is a work colleague of his. I must remember that the internet is a small place! I tend to be myself here anyway and only put here what I would say in RL, but it does feel a little odd to be honest. I always feel so anonymous here normally.

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 24/06/2017 06:55

That's the reason I don't chat on MN like I used to PA. I identified someone I know IRL from a single post last year and it freaked me out. I don't know her terribly well and haven't told her, but we don't cross paths regularly on here. Hope you have a great day, lots of cuddles with DGS.

I blew out yesterday so need to take back control over the weekend. Glad the weather has cooled a bit, it was putting me off cooking earlier in the week which increases the risk of sandwich-grabbing.

Groovee · 24/06/2017 07:22

Someone recognised me from this thread on Instagram.

I feel so ill with reflux this morning 😩
