Breakfast question for me too - does the 1/3 speed rule apply here too? I have 2 eggs on toast every day, I hate the thought of fruit, tomatoes or beans first thing in the morning.

Groovee · 13/06/2017 13:17

You're meant to replace 1/3 of your plate with speed at every meal. I have spinach or spring onions with eggs.

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 13/06/2017 13:19

I couldn't face either of those in the morning either, plus I'm always in a rush. I have a slice of wholemeal toast with a laughing cow extra light triangle and two poached eggs, which tastes great and fills me up.

Artofnoise1 · 13/06/2017 13:38

whoknowes I'm the same. I'm not having speed food with every meal. Dinner and lunch yes, but not that often for breakfast. Unless it' s fruit on top of ceareal/ porridge, otherwise it's too much of a faff first thing in the morning.

Boatsnack · 13/06/2017 14:31

4lb off I've been pretty much on plan all week so I'm glad it has paid off.

ALemonyPea · 13/06/2017 15:14

2lb off, so half a stinking lb to target now. Gah!

Who, if speed doesn't make sense in a meal, then just make sure you have a third of your food replaced with speed throughout the day. Don't worry too much. Some meals, like beans on toast, would be weird with speed.

Lost 2lb this week! Only 1.5lb to my 3st

Groovee · 13/06/2017 16:52

Well done Lemony and Boat x

Boatsnack · 13/06/2017 17:07

Thanks, well done on your losses too.

I got my summer journal too and was just thinking I could be pretty much at target by the end of the 12 weeks. I need to lose 2stone 5lb to reach target which suddenly seems doable.

Groovester · 13/06/2017 17:48

Well done boat, lemony and groovee

We've just sat down to lentil soup and I watched everyone eat the crusty bread to go with it. Sad

FoofFighter · 13/06/2017 17:51

Ahhh Lemony, how gutting!! but at least you know that barring an epic disaster you'll be coming home with that shiny next week :) Flowers

Can I clear up about SP day hebs? I've been told (and read) that you can have any two from the choices, not simply the S choices, have I been wrongly told?

BasinHaircut · 13/06/2017 17:53

Some awesome losses today! Well done losers.

lemony, next week target for sure!

Almost caved and had a biscuit at work today, but I didn't. Every time I get past temptation I feel like target is within reach. I'm not sure why I'm so set on getting it before holiday as I'm bound to be back out of range on return anyway! Grin

Mayflower veg curry with leftover chicken and rice for dinner tonight. I'm bloody starving!

FoofFighter · 13/06/2017 17:54

and well done to groovee and boat, sorry I pressed send too soon! 4th weigh in tomorrow, 9lbs off already, think am being totally unrealistic that I might get my 1st award but still secretly hopeful Wink

LavenderRainbows · 13/06/2017 17:58

Well done
Lemony
Boat
Groove
Star
I've not been on the thread for a bit as MN wasn't working on my phone!
Not weighing in this week as I'm on nights and it buggers up my bodyGrin
Still staying on plan tho as it's my birthday next week so there will be celebrating Grin
Only need 4lb off now for 5 stone loss but boy it's getting tough!
groovester I feel your pain re the bread!!

ALemonyPea · 13/06/2017 18:00

Foof, it's any two B choices for SP days. It'll boost your weight loss if you have an S B choice, but not necessary.

Had had a mild day off plan, I think I deserve it, will be back on it tomorrow and that half lb will be off by Tuesday.

I had 2 thornton's Viennese truffles as a wee well done and I didn't enjoy them! I used to eat the whole bag in one go.

OwlinaTree · 13/06/2017 19:50

Well done losers, some great results there! I sts but after all the lovely food and wine Saturday I'm alright about that!

Just looking at the calendar and there's basically something on every weekend now till middle of July, so I can't see myself losing much really. I guess if I can maintain I'll be doing ok. Oh well, life is for enjoying! I would like to get one more pound off to get 3 stone, then I think I'll focus on maintaining over the summer and then maybe in September try to lose this final half stone before my big birthday in October!!

Groovester · 13/06/2017 21:04

lavender it is bread I miss the most!

shamoffour · 13/06/2017 21:42

Lemony so close!

I had these the other night got them from Aldi were really good I had them with a curry but would be lovely with just some chicken or something.

shamoffour · 13/06/2017 21:42

Sorry meant to add they are 3 syns but plenty for 2 people.

latedecember1963 · 13/06/2017 21:43

Oh, Lemony, how galling, but you'll do it for sure next week and a 2 lb loss is still a loss. Well done to all who've lost.
I've realised reading today's posts that I've never thought about the third speed food aspect of breakfast, although I might occasionally have mushrooms on toast.
Ds2 did an intervention when I got in from work & spotted the Wispa bars in the cupboard. As my hand reached towards them he said the words, "Mum, holiday." Glad he was home as that getting in from work time is one of my triggers for nibbling.

PositiveAttitude · 13/06/2017 21:45

Well done losers. Next week for sure Lemony

I was just 0.5lb off tonight, but at least it is in the right direction. I need to do more planning for this week, i have just been too busy to be organised this week and feel I have let myself down a bit.
Lavender I agree with the getting harder.
Exactly one year ago tomorrow I walked into SW for the fist time. I am now 4 stone 10.5lb lighter, loving life and feeling so much better. I would still like to lose another couple of stone, but it is going to take ages as it has taken me 4 months to lose the last stone! Blush But I am in this for the marathon not the sprint. I will just plod on!
Keep going everyone. We WILL get there!

PositiveAttitude · 13/06/2017 21:59

I just wanted to add a couple of things that I have loved about losing this weight:

I no longer feel like the fat freak - I feel "normal" for the first time in many years. my DCs would say that I am most definitely not normal, but I am talking weightwise! Grin
I can go into "normal" shops and pick clothes that I like rather than what will fit.
I no longer feel embarrassed eating in public - I used to feel that people were always thinking why is such a fat person still eating.
My relationship with food is far healthier now.
I enjoy the food I eat and can eat whenever I am hungry.
I no longer have secret stashes of food in the house for secret eating binges. Blush

Not so good.....
I spend a fortune on fruit on a daily basis!!
I spend a fortune on new clothes because last summer wardrobe was a size 28 and I am now an 18 and everything from last year looks ridiculous.

My tummy is still big and I am not sure I will ever be happy with my tum! But what can I expect after 9 pregnancies????? I am hardly going to be flat tummed ever again, am I?

Many more positives than negatives. The best thing I did and I just wish I had done this years ago.

Thanks for all the support over the past year. Tonight I am feeling rather emotional.

ALemonyPea · 13/06/2017 22:25

You're doing so well PA, well done!
