Party went well today, had a few nice comments.

I wore my halo high as well. Didn't eat any party food at all. Made sure I ate before I went, and also took two Alpen bars (HEB) with me. Didn't have any of the mini Black Forest gateaux, strawberry pavlova, BBQ burgers and sausages or pizzas. Didn't feel like I was missing anything either as was full from my food beforehand. Feeling great and hoping for target on Tuesday. If I don't get it, you lot will be hear to console me and listen to me moan.

late Re: snacks.
It's generally SW friendly/low syn things such as cereal bars, skinny popcorn, mikado, treat sized sweets, baked crisps or quavers.
We are both snackers. I am just careful in counting my syns.

Good luck lemony - I admire your resolve.

Had a day off plan yesterday but back on it today. Better than last week where I was off plan Thu-Sat.
Had a horrendously bad tummy today and a lot of time spent in the bathroom. I'm thinking it might be bread related as I ate 2 lots yesterday whilst off plan whereas usually I avoid it. Fingers crossed it'll help to cancel out some of my bad foods from yesterday. Grin

ALemonyPea · 12/06/2017 06:39

My favourite snack ATM is walkers sensations poppadoms. 3 syns a packet, and oh so tasty. Tesco do multipacks and there are two flavours, mango chutney and coriander and lime. They've replaced pufts as my crisps.

BasinHaircut · 12/06/2017 07:36

Ohh lemony those popadoms sound amazing and 3 syns sounds awesome.

The weekend has not been good food wise, which means I'm putting off weigh in until Thursday. I'm back to basics writing everything down from today until next Monday's weigh in as thatsthe last one before holiday and I WANT target too.

Good luck for tomorrow lemony.

OwlinaTree · 12/06/2017 08:48

Morning all, I've had an off plan Saturday night when I drank a bottle of wine with friends. Had a fab night and a hangover! Had loads of cheese too. Managed to stick to it Sunday, but went out for tea. Chose SW friendly stuff on the whole though.

Back on it today, weigh in Tuesday for me. I'm guessing sts or gain but weight loss is funny. I'll probably get a good loss this week!

didireallysaythat · 12/06/2017 09:24

Advice please ?

At a conference in the middle of nowhere. Three course meals with no choice (not big on simple fruit and veg). Choice at breakfast but very bread and pastry based.

Am I best off eating ham and fruit for breakfast, filling my pockets with apples and bananas, hoping for salad at lunch and then skipping dinner ? I can drink lots of water. It's 10:30 and I'm hungry already !

mutley1 · 12/06/2017 12:49

Didireallysaythat. Do they have any eggs at breakfast?? You could have scrambled and bacon or even ham failing that.
Just want to parade my 2lbs loss at weigh in today 😀 and that includes a biryani at the curry house on Friday night that was lush!,

latedecember1963 · 12/06/2017 13:36

Thanks for the snack ideas for Dh. He likes popcorn so will get some in for him.
Weighed in today after a week's break and STS. A bit of a relief after a sandwich and slice of lemon drizzle cake in M&S when shopping last week which somehow led to a packet of Jaffa cakes over the weekend.
5 weeks until we go on holiday so need to be properly focussed now.

FoofFighter · 12/06/2017 14:22

didi, I'd really not skip dinner, just make the best choices you can when it's out of your control :)

Those poppadum crisps Lemony, are they too much like actual crisps to be an accompaniment to a curry feast do you think? I'd have to send DP home with the other packets though! oh and do they have dairy in please?

Groovee · 12/06/2017 14:55

Don't skip dinner @didireallysaythat, just try the best you can as sometimes SW needs to fit in with life.

didireallysaythat · 12/06/2017 15:13

Many thanks for the suggestions. I think I may be one of those people who are slow losers ! I've been on plan

ALemonyPea · 12/06/2017 16:44

This is them Foof. Can't see dairy listed. They're very like poppadoms, would be nice with curry.

Did, if your food comes with a sauce, you could ask for it to be served on the side if possible, just eat what you can and try not to worry too much. A few meals off plan should affect you too much, as long as you get back on to plan when you're home.

Just joined slimming world could anyone please tell me what they eat on day to day basis, I'm ready to do this also is alphro milk ok?

Groovester · 12/06/2017 19:46

Going to hunt down the poppadoms in my next shop lemony Thanks!

Groovee · 12/06/2017 20:52

I vary!
On work days, I have fruit and yoghurt in the morning then an early lunch of eggs either scrambled or an omelette, then turkey rashers or ham with spinach and mushrooms.

Dinner is usually a variety of things.

Today was Ryvita Fruit Crunch topped with banana and strawberries and melon on the side for breakfast.

Done sugar snap peas mid morning.

Then made scotch broth for lunch and greedily ate 4 bowls 🙈

Dinner was Chicken Fajita made in the slow cooker. Had mushrooms and onions with Schwartz Fajita seasoning rice and salad.

Groovee · 13/06/2017 05:57

Weigh in today. I always get so nervous.

ALemonyPea · 13/06/2017 08:07

I hate weigh day, never sleep properly the night before, have bizarre dreams about putting three stone on.

Good luck getting weighed Tuesday people

Hi Ashley! Key to success for me is variety. I have plenty of choice in. I have porridge, cereal (with fruit), bacon sandwich or overnight oats for breakfast. I rarely have cooked breakfast as I don't fancy it often. Lunches I usually have salad - beef, tuna, cheese with pasta or new potatoes. I've also been doing frittatas a lot. In winter I make soup with lentils and do easy to reheat potions Iike cottage pie and bolognese.
Dinners vary - spaghetti bolognese, chilli, we do a 'roast' dinner most Sundays but we cook the meat in the slow cooker. Evenings we have meat with mash and veg, (the 5-spiced sticky gammon is gorgeous!), minted lamb from the butchers, we did fajitas the other night - I had sweet potato wraps and synned them, absolutely gorgeous! It's worth looking at the website for menu ideas.

FoofFighter · 13/06/2017 09:07

Cheers lemony, will grab those for our curry feast :D

Ashley, breakfasts are normally overnight oats with fruit and almond milk or fat free yogurt, on a weekend I'll have bacon, eggs mushrooms, tomatoes
Lunches are salad or soup or maybe a wrap if I syn it or am doing an SP day (don't worry about those yet though, get normal plan sorted first!)
Dinners are currys, chilli, pasta, raost dinners, steak and salad I have a lot, fish - there's not much you cannot adapt tbh.

Main thing is to be religious about making a third of your meal the speed veg/fruit which will naturally reduce your portion sies for the other stuff ie pasta - and not to have what you'd normally have and add extra fruit and veg on - otherwise you're going to lose slower and not strictly following SW

Boatsnack · 13/06/2017 09:43

First proper class weigh in today. I'm totally stressed, dd is off school sick so I've had to rope in the in laws for babysitting duty so I can go get weighed. I'm currently so tired I could cry. Wish me luck!

I'm definitely having a close to plan treat dinner tonight I'm thinking burgers with cheese and bacon and potato wedges.

emwithme · 13/06/2017 10:44

Lemony I expect them to say "you've gained it ALL back". Every time. Even when I've been "good" which is not at the moment as I am 90% carbs and sugar and I don't care

princesseggo · 13/06/2017 12:19

Hi everyone! Just wanted to ask a quick question about Alpen Light bars. I've bought the chocolate and fudge ones but I just wanted to double check if 2 still counts as a hex b? And I'm sure I read somewhere that they count as speed Blush or is that just the fruit flavoured ones?

Groovee · 13/06/2017 12:59

One on a speed and protein day is speed or it's 2. As long as it's the light ones they are HEB's
