We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

Welcome newbies.

Nicola, I don't bother with blogs, but good luck.

Only 2.5lb up now as of this morning. It'll be off by wi Saturday I hope, then I only have 2lb for my 6.5 stone award. So close to target, I feel I fucked up at the weekend, but then, if you can't enjoy yourself on special occasions there is no point on having fun.

Ledehe · 19/04/2017 09:15

Week 2

4.5 lbs loss
10lbs total

1/2 stone award for me!

Well done everyone over Easter

Shamoffour · 19/04/2017 09:22

Wow pa that's fab you must be so proud!

Basin glad you got the school you want it's such a weight off your mind when its confirmed.

Well after a couple of weeks not going, all the horrible stuff with dp and a couple of other shitty things happening I went weigh in this morning and I've maintained which I'm delighted with.

Onwards and upwards!! Off to paint a pot with dd2 this morning, she has different school holidays to the others so a bit of one on one time which will be nice. I'm going to have some breakfast so I'm not tempted by all the amazing homemade cakes they sell.

Linda131963 · 19/04/2017 09:22

Basin , l laughed about your comment about feeling like you should give stickers back ! I dreamt this at weekend ! I dreamt l went to class , got weighed had gained 4.5lb , she closed my book and pulled my stickers off ! This could e because l know l have gained at least 4lb , missed class and got 2 more weekends away in April ! Going to a random class Fri just to get weighed ! Back to work Mon which will help the situation ! X

Shamoffour · 19/04/2017 09:23

Well done ledehe that's a fantastic loss in two weeks you must be so happy?!

Notlostjustexploring · 19/04/2017 10:23

PA that is fantastic!! You must be bursting with pride!!

calzone I will take your seven day challenge. Still feeling crappy, but the threat of having to come back to this thread and confess straying from the plan should hopefully be enough to keep me on track!!

Day 1/7:
Porridge, milk, chocolate drinking powder mixed in (hex 2a and 2b, 4 syns)
4 boiled eggs dusted with paprika, cherry tomatoes and a lump of cucumber
Natural yogurt and strawberries (4 syns)
Ham, salad and sw chips
Either a curly wurly or quavers (5/6 syns)
Cheese on toast (hexa and b)

Boatsnack · 19/04/2017 10:31

Hi can i join you all? I signed up to slimming world online on Sunday night, then drunk a bottle of wine on Monday. So I need to be super on plan for the rest of the week. My plan for today is
B POACHED EGGS WITH SPINACH

L LEFTOVER BOLOGNAISE

D PAPRIKA CHICKEN, RICE & VEG

HEA - MILK FOR COFFEE
HEB - ALPEN LIGHT BAR

I need to go to the shops because the battery has died on my scales and I had to guesstimate my weight for sign up, hopefully I can avoid Costa while I'm there.

Ledehe · 19/04/2017 10:38

Thanks, i've got a LOT to lose so coming off quickly at the start. I'm really motivated now

LavenderRains · 19/04/2017 10:42

Welcome newbies, well done sham & losers.

I lost 1.5lb this morning which takes me to 4 stone 4lb loss.
I'm taking PA advice this morning and having hot cross buns with butter on, as I promised myself if I'd lost anything Grin
Rest of the day will be on track tho. Just need to get these buns out of my system!

latedecember1963 · 19/04/2017 10:44

Morning everyone, I've WI at a group local to my caravan this morning and lost 1/2 lb. I'm giving the credit to DS who stopped me having cake when we had lunch out yesterday. He's working hard revising for his A-levels and I'm going to get out and do some gardening to leave him in peace. We're going to have an Indian takeaway this evening as a treat. Won't go overboard though as I'm finding I can't pack food away like I used to.

OwlinaTree · 19/04/2017 11:54

Well done losers! I'm just trying to find out which bikinis fit me to take on holiday. The best feeding is proving the biggest challenge!! I think I'm going to order a couple more, if I get string style then they are fairly flexible. I always leave it till the last minute lol.

ALemonyPea · 19/04/2017 13:01

Well done losers.

DC2 at respite today, so went to the local shopping mall with the other 2 DC. just got back, they had huge massive ice cream sundaes while I sat watching them, sipping on water.

We did get burritos for home, mine is naked (no wrap) and totally free and delicious. Also had a little 15g bar of Green&Blacks ginger dark chocolate for 3.5 syns. Better than the gazillion syns that would have been in a sundae.

Got home to my mortgage offer in the doormat. That's a 10 day turnaround, including the bank holidays. Shit getting real now! Eek!

Have to decide on what to cut back on my kitchen, as ant borrow as much (bank told us wrong amount so planned around that). So a dishwasher is a must right, for a family of 5? I am debating if I want a self cleaning oven or not.

OP posts:
ALemonyPea · 19/04/2017 13:02

Should add, we can afford the kitchen, but it leaves little money to do more renovations and I'd rather get a few more things done.

OP posts:
FaithAgain · 19/04/2017 13:21

I would really struggle without a dishwasher! There's only 3 of us. That sounds very sensible Lemony, a treat but not blowing it! We are out for a pub lunch (on annual leave this week) and I've ordered a salad. WI tonight, don't want anything too heavy.

Well done late and Lavender. Ledehe that's a fantastic start!

OrianaBanana · 19/04/2017 14:23

Definitely rather have the dishwasher than self cleaning oven (I never clean the oven anyway).

I'm in a coffee shop. I did NOT buy a snack. This is big! Was tempted by red velvet cake tho. So far today only 1.5 syns, trying to keep it low to compensate for the billionty hot cross buns I ate (still expecting a gain mind you).

B - cereal (HExA1 and B1), coffee, banana
L - beef pho noodle pot (1.5)
D - spag bol with salad
S - flat white (HExa2), babybels (HExA3), Philly light (HExA4) with sweet chilli (1.5) and carrot sticks, grapes, strawberries

I might have a bit of G&T later if I feel the need... Gin although I could do without the syns I'm sure.

Shamoffour · 19/04/2017 14:44

I have very fancy self cleaning Miele ovens. We didn't put them in, they were here already. When the man from Miele came to fix one of them I ask him why the pyrolitic function kept stopping half way through he said it was because my oven was too dirty BlushGrin
Disclaimer-it really wasn't that bad!!
I seriously wouldn't bother with the oven but I couldn't live without my dishwasher.

BasinHaircut · 19/04/2017 15:47

If I had to choose between my dishwasher and my husband...... let's just say I'd miss him Grin.

If I could give you one piece of advice when planning a kitchen, get a fitter round to get advice. The planners in the shop don't know anything and are completely guided by what the software will and won't let them do which is bollocks.

Shamoffour · 19/04/2017 17:21

Just re read my last post, obviously I would bother with AN oven just not a self cleaning one!

ALemonyPea · 19/04/2017 17:42

I'd love to forgo the oven and just eat out all the time Sham 😁

That is my face all afternoon!!! He's only gone and done it!!!! A 6 hour "Interview" which included DS being given a box of food and told to make a 3 course meal for the 4 chefs that work there al La master chef!!! They were impressed and he has been offered a job with live-in accommodation. All the chefs live-in together, so although it is literally 2 minutes from our home he is going to be moving out. I don't think I have ever been prouder!!! Apparently they are planning for more michelin stars in the near future, too.

Anyway, on SW topic. To counter my atrocious evening yesterday i thought I would do an SP day today. Never done one before. This is what I have had so far, please tell me if I have ballsed up big time:

Breakfast: fruit and chicken (I know this is a little odd, but I needed more than just fruit!! Grin )
Lunch: Salad with Pilchards in tomato sauce
Dinner: Bolognese (SW syn free, recipe) with a fuckton of veg.
Pudding will be raspberries.
I will then have a snack of cheese on toast later to use my HE A and B x1 and Hifi bar for other B. Syns were a bag of cheesy curls and a mini curly wurly.

Flip, that sounds like masses!!!! I did have a can of diet coke, which DD thought might not be allowed on SP. DOes anyone know if it is allowed, or did I blow it?

There is no way on this planet I would live without a dishwasher in this country (lived abroad without one simply because they were not available there). Make savings elsewhere would be my advise.
Lavender I hope you enjoyed your hot cross bun as much as I did mine last night.

LavenderRains · 19/04/2017 19:27

PA what fantastic news!!!GrinGrin🎉🎉you must be extremely proud. What an amazing career ahead for your DS. They must have been really impressed with him! I will have to seek out the restaurant next time I cross your stretch of water!

As for the (3) Blush hot cross buns, they were sooo good and I followed them with a creme egg. Then spent the rest of the day feeling sick and sluggish.
But if I hadn't had them they would still be playing on my mind.
Just has some chicken rice and a load of baked veg. Will have this fruit salad later.
Think I've used up my synsSmile

Wow PA, well done to your DS!

FaithAgain · 19/04/2017 20:04

Thats amazing PA! Well done to your son! Smile Shock

I'm chuffed, I lost 2.5lb! After maintaining last week I was a bit wobbly but have been on plan (despite it being DD's birthday day out and party over the weekend). I even worked out the syns in my Easter egg and then split it into 4 pots of 6.5 syns each! I won the SOTW fruit because (other people lost more but didn't stay) I lost the most of all who stayed joint with someone else. Had to clean out my fridge to make space for it.

Groovee · 19/04/2017 20:07

PA that's amazing news.

Lemony well done.

I'm sure Diet Coke is fine on SP.

Off work for a week. So tired.

ALemonyPea · 19/04/2017 20:23

Well done to your DS PA. You can now be one of those parents "oh my DS? He works in a Michelin star kitchen" 😁

Diet Coke is fine on an SP day as it's a drink, not a food. Your food also looks fine.

Well done in the loss Faith.
