We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

PA!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing.

When he is famous he can open the worlds first Michelin star SW restaurant.

In other news I had a white chocolate magnum forced (I say FORCED!) on me this afternoon at work. Which puts me over syns for the day but I will pull it back tomorrow.

Groovester · 19/04/2017 22:29

Brilliant news pa Star

maygirl · 19/04/2017 22:33

Wow well done PA's DS!! Grin

Maintained this week as usual

B cheese and tomato omelette. HeA
L bean + tomato salad with 30g avocado 3 syns. Orange

Nuts HeB
Milk 2 syns
Grapes
D salmon, brocolli, pak choi, carrots, cous cous. Chutney 2 syns

2 squares choc 6 syns

OwlinaTree · 19/04/2017 22:36

Well done losers! Fab news PA!

calzone · 20/04/2017 07:40

Do you think this is possible/a good idea?

We have 105 syns to play with over a week.

I was thinking of making a box of syns for the week.
For example
A bottle of wine 30 syns
5 bags crisps 20 syns
2 curly wurly 12 syns
3 whitworths shots 10 syns
And other stuff I can't think about right now......

This way, rather than picking and occasionally bingeing, I can only syn from the box. Instead of going over syns on wine, that's it for the week. Would this work? 🤔🤔

OwlinaTree · 20/04/2017 08:02

Well yes in theory. But what about syns you might use in other ways like on salad dressing etc. Or when you go out to eat?

SailAwaySailAwaySailAway · 20/04/2017 08:05

Sorry to butt in. Is anyone using an online only membership please and is it any good?

BasinHaircut · 20/04/2017 08:44

calzone sounds like a good idea if that's how you usually spend your syns. Maybe do a 70 syn box and save 5/day for unforeseens like a squirt of ketchup or extra milk/cheese etc.

Weigh day today for me. Hoping for a maintain. I'm also going to speak to my consultant about changing my target so I'm only 1.5lbs away. I think I'm pretty much done losing.

latedecember1963 · 20/04/2017 09:41

PA, many congratulations to your son. What an achievement!
I can see the logic of a treat box, Canzone. It's all too easy to lose track across a week.
DS2 and I had our Indian meal last night. Decided to eat out on the end so we didn't have the faff of disposing of cartons in the caravan. I had 2 poppadoms with dips, king prawn tandoori with a small portion of pillau rice and shared some Bombay potatoes and a plain naan. Washed down with diet coke as I was driving. Felt pleasantly full at the end rather than stuffed. Really enjoyed it but it hasn't made me think that I've really missed eating like that. I'm quite happy to go back to sensible cereal and fruit this morning.

ALemonyPea · 20/04/2017 10:37

Morning peeps.

Decided to miss WI this week, as would be Saturday, then my usual one on Tuesday, seems counterproductive, and it's my own silly fault that I didn't put ,holiday in anyway. According to my scales, I'm only 1lb off what I was last week, so I'm fine with that, and hopefully it'll show a loss next week. A maintain would also be ok.

Calzone, in theory it looks fine, but I'd probably want the whole lot over two days then be grumpy the rest. Why not do the wine, then 7 days worth of x amount of syns.

calzone

It's not recommended to "save up" syns for the weekend for example.

The idea of having 10-15 a day is to retrain your mind to what you should be eating in a day. People save up syns for the weekend which a)reinforces binge eating b) is very restrictive c) easy to miscalculate/go over syns

But I realise that might not be what you mean

LavenderRains · 20/04/2017 18:09

Ha groovester my secret is out!!Grin

calzone sounds like a good idea to me. Like pp said, maybe hold back some syns for ketchup, gravy etc.

I was extremely sinful today. Went out for Chinese but was very good, had chicken in oyster sauce and boiled rice and chicken noodle soup. Total of 11 syns.......then I got frogmarched taken to sprinkles for puddingBlush I was very restrained considering all the lovely stuff on the menu. I had a tiny tub, one large scoop of creme egg ice cream.
I have no idea how many syns are in that! But it was bloody lovely.

Groovester · 20/04/2017 19:01

Sounds lovely!

I'm heading out to weigh in now.

I'm not too hopeful to be honest but I've been super strict from Monday and been to the gym a few times so who knows?

My fate is with the scales gods now...

BasinHaircut · 20/04/2017 19:50

1.5 ON for me tonight Shock

Not really surprising considering my weekend which may or may not have started last Friday

I've changed my target and am only 3lbs away. Would like that 1.5lbs back off for next week but I've got a hen do this weekend so I'll have to work hard!

FaithAgain · 20/04/2017 20:14

WW operate a system where they have daily points and the weekly points, so I used to splurge on the weekly points. I wasn't very successful at WW. I tend to use all my daily syns each day and enjoy them. I'm finding it much more balanced. My consultant does discourage saving syns but encourages us to do 'flexible syns'. With that, you plan what you want to have, then work backwards. So, if you are going out for drinks and think 'I'd like to have 10 Bacardi and cokes'. Okay so that's 3.5 syns each for the Bacardi and then 7 syns for the coke, total of 105 syns (!). So you chose Diet Coke instead, reduces it 35 syns. If you only have 5 bacardis makes it 17.5 syns. So significantly less of a blowout! You can basically work this out for anything. Also someone suggested if you want to limit how much you drink, set a limit and then count backwards, you're less likely to have 'just one more'.

emwithme · 20/04/2017 21:00

_

You see that line there? I have drawn it and that is it.

4 on this week Blush - I am now 5.5lbs out of target zone and 8.5 lbs above target. My clothes are starting to feel tight and I don't like it.

So I am 100% on plan until it is off.

Today's food:

B: Eggy muffins
L: Leek & potato soup, apple, pear, satsumas
D: Bolognaise with garlic mushrooms
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars.

Not quite an SP day (because of the leek & potato soup) but definitely low-carb and low syn (In fact, only syns were an actimel fart yoghurt).

Hopefully tomorrow will be similarly good.

ALemonyPea · 20/04/2017 21:04

Yikes Emma! You've had good reason, don't feel guilty. You can and will do it.

Basin, good luck getting to target. Not long!

maygirl · 20/04/2017 21:09

Quick check in
B coffee, some of heA milk
L mushroom, pepper and onion omelette, salad
Nakd bar 7 syns
D m+s skinny burger, heB roll, SW chips, salad and baxters deli slaw.
Unplanned eating of freshly steamed dim sum brought round by next door neighbour. Look like 1.5 to 2 syns each , so the rest of today's syns gone in a delicious way!

Groovester · 20/04/2017 21:30

1 on for me tonight. Expected really. Back on it properly in the morning!

LavenderRains · 20/04/2017 21:38

Come on groovester back on it! Don't leave your twinny aloneGrin

caremummy · 20/04/2017 21:42

Been doing SW a month - 6 lbs off overall after a gain last week 😑 Going to do an SP week this week - on SP are drinks restricted ? Or can we just have the free drinks as usual ? Really want 1.5lb + loss next especially as three in my group lost 3.5 stone between them in a week😮

caremummy · 20/04/2017 21:46

Also, struggling to set a PAT i'm 5'3 currently 11st 4.5 but the last time I looked + felt healthy was at 8st 7 😩 sorry for all the Q's but whst happens when a consultant goes on maternity leave ? Mines good but the one who does the other group really isn't. Ta xx

helenfagain · 20/04/2017 21:46

I've not long started again 10lbs off in the first 3 weeks. More than I care to think about still to go though! Sad

ALemonyPea · 20/04/2017 21:59

Welcome newbies.

Drinks are allowed on SP days, don't restrict your fluid intake.
