We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

Well done Groovster.

Em good you are still here. 😘

ALemonyPea · 22/05/2017 10:32

DS3 was up all night throwing up last night. I'm soooooo tired, I want a cup of tea with a million digestive biscuits, my usual tired food. Instead I had boiled eggs on ryvita. This diet sucks at times like this. If it wasn't WI tomorrow I'd just go for it.

Well done lemony, it's so easy to let go and you have maintained control!

I was at an afternoon tea yesterday (not a restaurant one, in someone's home) and I said to myself that I would!have one plate of savoury food and then a scone and 1 other small slice from of cake, and that's what I did.

There was prosecco and gin flowing but I had only tea and water to drink. Food was 2 small finger sandwiches, a small HM sausage roll and half a HM scotch egg (divine). Then I had a scone with jam and cream, and a small slice of lemon drizzle cake. All off plan but then dinner was back on plan and so I feel like I maintained control which I'm very proud of. Usually I cannot resist a buffet and I eat continuously all day till it's gone.

Weigh in tonight and I think I'm ok for a loss. Want 2lb off but we will see.

Groovee · 22/05/2017 11:31

Hugs Lemony.

Well done Basin x

Hi everyone. I've decided to come and join you after getting on the scales a couple of hours ago. 11st 2 lbs. it's just not good for me. Currently eating a salad with chopped pulled pork(although it's shop bought so probably not that good). How many syns does Hellmanns light mayonnaise contain?

Sloegin2 · 22/05/2017 13:20

Hello,
can I join in? I'm in my 2nd week of slimming world. Bit disheartened as I only lost 1lb in my first week - I was so good and stuck to it as well! Another woman lost 9lbs in her first week so I felt a little ... like I hadn't done as well as her?
Nevertheless, I've ploughed on this week (weigh in day is Thursday) and have stuck to plan, I do feel less bloated and like my clothes (I only have 2 pairs of trousers that still fit and they were tight) are fitting better so ... fingers crossed Smile

latedecember1963 · 22/05/2017 13:56

Hi everyone, been catching up with the weekend posts. My laptop can't seem to read all of the photos but I can tell front others' responses that they're impressive!
I've lost 1.5 lbs this morning so my target now is definitely to have lost 1.5 stones by the time we go on holiday. Escaping to the caravan for half term at the end of this week but intend to weigh in locally rather than miss a week. DS2 will be doing A level revision and has told me he won't have time to go out so at least I can avoid cafés.
Have a good week, everyone.

Groovee · 22/05/2017 13:57

Well done Late.

Welcome Mutley and Sloe.

ALemonyPea · 22/05/2017 14:24

Welcome newbies. sloe, there are 2 syns for 1tbsp for the mayo.

Well done Lemony, hope he gets well soon. Flowers

This was my lunch, so nice! I love goats cheese, I forgot how much, and you get a decent amount as a HExA.

xx

Looks Lovely Ori

FoofFighter · 22/05/2017 18:43

Can I join you :)

first week of another bash at this. Weigh in is on Wednesday, and have just slipped into it very well this time round, am concentrating on eating well, not snacking on the usual SW shite and it is going very easily :)

I estimate to have around 5 stone to lose. 4 stone of that to re-lose Angry

Does anyone else not really use their syns? I have only used 21 in 5 days, bit son ingredients in meals, and 8 on a chinese. I just don't want to get back into that groove of whoofing all my syns in chocolate and mugshits just because I can.

BasinHaircut · 22/05/2017 20:03

foof I do use my syns but on butter and cheese and mainly in meals rather than on chocolate etc. Also steer clear of mullers (yuk) and mugshots and other free SW staples that just add calories.

2.5lbs off for me tonight. Pleased with that. 3.5lbs to target and 4 weeks to holiday. I want to be at (or under) target for then.

ALemonyPea · 22/05/2017 21:11

Well done Basin. You're so close!

Foof, you should be having at least 5-10 syns a day, don't be afraid to use them. At the beginning, its best to use most of your syns, so that when you're nearer target, you can reduce them, as you'll need to reduce your calorie intake the lighter you get.

Make sure you have your A and B choices every day as well. I don't like milk, so have cheese a daily as my A choice, it's a win win for me, love cheese.

Food I use them when I need them but I try not just use them because I can.
Basin well done that's fab.
Ok day for me I'm tired though and my mouth is bored! (Stealing that from em!)

shamoffour · 22/05/2017 21:12

Sorry foof not foodBlush

noodlezoodle · 22/05/2017 21:30

Hello all, I'm back from holiday and amazingly only put on 1lb. I'm very pleased given that we ate and drank tons - but interestingly no bread and very few carbs, think I might have been accidentally doing Atkins, plus lots of walking.

Anyway, after several months of work travel, conferences and then holiday, it's back to normal life now and no travel planned for the next ten weeks. I have 1.5stone to lose and I don't know if I can do the whole thing in ten weeks, I'm a bit of a slow loser, but I'm going to have a damn good go at it.

FoofFighter · 23/05/2017 04:04

I have binging tendencies so am resolute that I don't want to just eat subs for the sake of eating them. Quite happy using as additions to meals to make them nicer, yes eating all my he, apart from yesterday I didn't have a heb but that was not usual at all Smile

FoofFighter · 23/05/2017 04:05

Syns
I could definitely eat subs for the sake of it Grin

Groovee · 23/05/2017 09:38

Weigh in today. Hoping the scales move. Taster night too, so did Vegetable Jambalaya and Scan Bran Chocolate Cake.

FoofFighter · 23/05/2017 10:50

Argh I forgot it's taster session tomorrow, it's a morning group -9.30am - any ideas for something to take for a breakfast session?

Good luck for WI Groovee, well done Basin :)

shamoffour · 23/05/2017 12:24

Wow noodle that's good!
I always find morning taster sessions hard sweet things always seem to go down well.
Awful day want to never let my children out of my sight one of dds friends was there but thankfully ok. Manchester is very very sad today.

ALemonyPea · 23/05/2017 16:04

Oh Sham, must be hard living in the vicinity. My heard breaks every time I see someone being interviewed, or see photos of missing loved ones.

1lb for me today, 4.5lb to target.

I did mini BLT for taster today. Cut cherry tomatoes in half, then put on toothpicks with bacon and lettuce, used halved tomatoes to look like a bread bun, cute idea. Went down well anyway.
