We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

Yes poppet I would weigh the bread and work it out. You may get away with 52g for 7 & a bit syns! Not sure how much 105g is garlic bread wise! Enjoy!

BasinHaircut · 17/05/2017 18:50

Sounds sensible poppet, just make sure you take note of whether that is frozen or cooked weight. You probably won't get much for that though!

Thanks guys, was an aunt's funeral. Only 62 years old so quite sad but she was very ill so expected.

Dinner tonight is tandoori chicken, peppers onions asparagus and rice. One of our favourites at the moment. Doing some extra chicken for Friday's lunch.

DH and I have decided that as we are supposed to be on holiday this week, we are going to go for a nice but very off plan lunch tomorrow. I know it's my first week properly back on it but I am supposed to be on HOLIDAY so I'm not feeling to bad about having one indulgent meal this week.

Then we are going to the cinema which is a rare treat. Got to salvage at least something from having the week off work!

BasinHaircut · 17/05/2017 20:27

Dinner. YUM!

Looks lovely Basin. Definitely enjoy yourself tomorrow. Get into holiday mode.

Asda sausages were absolutely delicious. Better than porky lights 😉Definitely recommend them.

Poppet14 · 17/05/2017 21:11

Thank you ladies I will give that a try!

Looks tasty Basin! I done some batch cooking tonight but I find a lot of the SW recpies really watery and have to cook for longer to reduce the sauce or add cornflour and try calculate the syns! I'll maybe just add less stock in next time !

I had 2lbs off my first week and I had 2 days off plan, so hoping I have a bit more off on my WI on sat!

Groovester · 17/05/2017 22:26

Well done Lavender - what a huge achievement. Bet you're buzzing!
Sorry to hear about your aunt basin Flowers
poppet I always add much less liquid than recipes say. Easier to add more rather than trying to reduce and take away!

OwlinaTree · 17/05/2017 22:40

Well done lavender! 4lb, that's amazing!

LavenderRainbows · 17/05/2017 22:54

Thanks everyone. Just 6lb to my target now.I think I honestly never thought I would get this far. If I can do it anyone can!! Tried on a couple of last years tee shirts, they were really baggyGrin

Flowers basin, your dinner looks lovely.
Thanks lemony for the sausage recommendation, I'm getting bored of heck chicken!
Had some smoked haddock and new potatoes for tea, was really nice. No speed tho so had some strawberries and raspberries afterwards.

emwithme · 17/05/2017 23:18

You guys are doing so well!

I've just caught up with last night's EastEnders...the first time I've watched it deliberately (ie not while I'm visiting elderly relatives) in probably 20 years. That Slimming Club was hilarious. DH wondered how accurate it was...I said there wasn't enough (a) clapping or (b) lying about what you've eaten or drunk at the weekend.

I'm now off to bed, to hope to be back in target range tomorrow morning. I'm not sure I've done it...

calzone · 18/05/2017 00:03

Well calorie counting is an eye opener!

40g Grape Nuts is 164 calories!!!!! Really shocking.

So I've lost 6lb doing sw5:2 and loving the fast days. I'm much more in control and feel strong.I literally can't believe how many calories I've been eating. No wonder I've plateaued for 12 months!

B.... ff yoghurt and blueberries
L.... Lean beef and vegetables
D.....Waitrose beef fettuccine and broccoli

shamoffour · 18/05/2017 08:10

Well done lav that's fab and calzone I'm glad you've found your mojo.
Basin I'm sorry about your auntFlowers

Well I lost 5.5lbs I'm so pleasedSmile

1lb will take me into the next stone bracket, I really want to be as far under that stone as possible before my holiday.

Groovee · 18/05/2017 08:16

Well done on the losses.

Poppet. I add less liquid or turn up the heat a bit on dishes. What Ines have you had trouble with x

LavenderRainbows · 18/05/2017 08:19

Amazing sham!! You should be into that next stone bracket next week and you can 'wow' them all on your holidays!

I just want some warm weather so I can wear new smaller summer clothes.it's still chilly and cloudy here.
Normally I'm happy if it stays chilly cos I can keep the layers onConfused
Not this year tho!!

Poppet14 · 18/05/2017 10:21

groove It was a veg saag , aloo gobi and bacon, squash and sweet potato stew! I was following the recipe quite strictly as I hadnt made these dishes before but when I made the SW chilli I think I felt more confident trusting my instincts!

Well done on all the losses! Just wondering do any of you find it useful wearing the same outfit to WI each week?

shamoffour · 18/05/2017 10:26

Poppet yes I always wear the same black vest and leggings.

ALemonyPea · 18/05/2017 10:26

Well done on the losses. Amazing!

Poppet, I usually either make a small amount of stock or leave it out entirely as find the SW recipes to sloppy. Why do they add stock to everything?

OP posts:
Groovee · 18/05/2017 10:30

Yep I wear my size 18 top which is too big and my joggers. Plan to change to leggings and a smaller top when I come back my holidays.

ALemonyPea · 18/05/2017 10:36

I wear the lightest clothes I have, usually leggings and a thin top. I used to strip off in winter haha

Groovee · 18/05/2017 12:30

Lunch today. Fry off some mushrooms and bacon, add a tub of go go cheese (used to be low low) melt together, add in cooked pasta and wilt some spinach. Had some beetroot on the side.

shamoffour · 18/05/2017 12:45

God I'm hungry today so I'm having a big lunch. Sw burgers with eggs and bacon on and salad. Hopefully that should fill me up!
Roast chicken with salad and corn on the cob for dinner.
That looks a nice lunch groovee.

PositiveAttitude · 18/05/2017 12:48

I also have a "WI" outfit, which consists of the lightest leggings going and the thinnest t-shirt. In the winter I wear warm cardigan and take it off at the scales. Grin

I did a SP day yesterday - I found it hard!! It makes me feel as if I am dieting, so only do it when I need to claw back from disaster and I have only ever lasted 1 day at a time. Blush It reminds me how much I love the EE because I can eat so much of what I love. I was amending a chocolate indulgence after WI on Tuesday.

I saw my sister yesterday for the first time in 6 months - she has just returned from a 6 month round the world cruise. Her 1st words to me, after a massive bear hug, was "wow, slimming world really works, doesn't it?" Oh I love my sister!!! She has come back needing to lose a bit and she went home after our chat, phone the SW consultant and has arranged to go to her local SW group next Monday.

Poppet14 · 18/05/2017 17:36

Haha! Thats good to know everyone, I'm going to stick to what I wore last week!

Thats great positiveattitude it must feel so rewarding when folk notice the difference! That sort of thing always spurs me on that wee bit extra!

Groovester · 18/05/2017 19:30

2lbs off for me this morning. Really pleased. Sitting directly on a stone so all going well next week I will go down to the next stone bracket,
4 stone 10 pounds gone!

whereareyousleep · 18/05/2017 19:47

Well done to the losers this week. I always wear the same too leggings and a light weight top. 1lb on for me this week which I was ok with as I had been away for the weekend.

Did the first run of c25k today which I thought was going to be easy and was actually really hard don't know how I got through it. It made me realise how much extra weight I'm carrying I could have cried.

emwithme · 18/05/2017 21:50

I DID IT! I lost 1.5 lbs and am back in target range by the skin of my teeth

I have my resit exam tomorrow morning and then DH and I are going out for lunch, which won't be on plan at all, but it is only one meal and honestly, I don't care. One meal won't make or break anything.

And I'm back in target...so next week is free anyway!
