We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

I got some on Thursday Lemony, looking forward to trying one if I can get this baby down.. Grin

PositiveAttitude · 14/05/2017 08:49

So much for me getting that 1lb gain off before WI. I went to my first ever Eurovision party last night, couldn't drink due to driving, but there was a table laden with yummy food which I certainly took massive advantage of! Blush AF appeared this morning, which explains my food hoovering instincts last night. Now have even more to lose before Tuesday. Angry

Party was excellent fun though. I have always had a bleugh attitude to anyone who had the remotest interest in Eurovision, but oh how I laughed last night! I am converted. Only 364 til the next party!!

Groovester · 14/05/2017 09:53

Morning All, Have had 3 nights out in a row but pleased with myself. Thursday was the cinema and I ended the day on 16 syns (not too bad!) Friday night was a meal with a good friend who I only see about once a year because she lives in Shetland. I went off plan for this but didn't drink any booze. Last night was a friend's 40th. Her husband is one of the top chefs in a well known 5 star establishment and had naturally done the catering. I STAYED AWAY from ALL THE FOOD and stuck to Diet Coke all night. Who am I? No syns yesterday to rein it back from the Friday night meal you see.

Before SW I would have eaten the world on all 3 nights and continued in that mode for the rest of the week!

OwlinaTree · 14/05/2017 10:29

Well done groovster, you are in the zone with it at the mo! I am at the mo, was at a BBq yesterday and the food just didn't really appeal, the sausages and burgers etc looked fine, I could have eaten one, but I just wasn't thinking yummy yummy yummy like I used to. Maybe I'm finally starting to not see food as such a treat or something?

OwlinaTree · 14/05/2017 10:30

Lol, not chocolate though, I'll always want to eat that!!

katplva · 14/05/2017 12:07

Well done Groovester and Owlinatree, the "zone" is a great place to be! What treats do you have in place that are not food-related?

I was up most of last night with DD2 as we had to go to out of hours doctor and then a&e. Home around 3am... My usual response to this would be a pyjama day, takeaway tonight and plenty of sugar and caffeine to keep me going throughout the day. The thought of weigh in tomorrow morning is keeping me going so far, so I am trying to organise a regular dinner and keep on plan.

ALemonyPea · 14/05/2017 12:53

I think I need to get rid of my husband, he's a bad influence. After my post last night he broke out the biscuits. Mcvities thins, which he knows are mine and are a treat as only 1.5 syns each. I had 4, he ate the rest. Took me to 10.5 syns, but when you're still in negative syns, it's not great. He reckons I need to find a happy medium with food now and stop restricting myself as I'm near target. Yes, but I'm not AT target, that's the difference. Once I'm there, I can have the odd biscuit or share nachos at the cinema. So probably will have a maintain again this week, if a gain.

Went to the gym again this morning, so hopefully that's going to help.

Well done to those who are managing to stay well on plan.

Well done owl

kat my treat of the moment is new clothes. Nothing expensive - I do like a supermarket bargain - because I'm not at target but I've gone from bursting out of a size 22 to a 14/16 so needs must.
Lemony dropping the husband is a drastic way to lose the extra weight. Imagine though...13 stones in a week! Grin Well done on the gym. I've only managed twice this week. I've lost my mojo with it lately.

Groovester · 14/05/2017 13:58

A brave one for me. Losing my anonymity to say hello! 4 stone 8lbs down. Still a way to go...

I'd love to be brave enough to out my before/now photo on here.

Wow! What a difference Groovester!!

I've been awful the last few days! Lost 0.5lb after what I thought had been a good week. Even though I know a. It's still a loss and b. I'm now the lightest I've been since 2005 (!) I have rebelled and eaten all the refined carbs. However, I knew AF was due (actually was late) which probably explains the small loss and the carb craving. Just hoping it's not dreadful on the scales. I'll probably weigh in Tuesday AM since we get the keys to our new house Tues pm. I know it'll be a bit mad so I'm just hoping to maintain the next week or so.

katplva · 14/05/2017 15:46

Looking good Groovester! Love the spotty dress!

Faith isn't it crazy how we rebel against ourselves? Because really am doing this for no one else but me, and yet I feel like sticking two fingers up to 'it' at times just because! I'd love to know more about the psychology of weight loss, it's so interesting that it's more than just a case of 'eat less'.

PositiveAttitude · 14/05/2017 16:00

Looking Fab Groovester Well done you!! I have also lost 4 stone 8lb, but I don't see such a difference in myself. One day I might be brave enough to do a before and now photo, too.

First day of AF here and I could eat anything that sits still long enough!!! It is going to be a very long evening.......

OwlinaTree · 14/05/2017 17:57

You look fab groovster!

OrianaBanana · 14/05/2017 20:19

You look great Groovester!

Wish I was in the zone. Just had takeaway pizza after starting this morning with pancakes and therefore writing off the day. Confused Completely my own fault.

Tomorrow will be on plan Grin

Groovester · 14/05/2017 20:52

Thanks guys. Dress is a new one from Lindybop. I felt a tad like Minnie Mouse in it last night but it is comfortable and I love it.

Groovester · 14/05/2017 20:53

oriana so long as you enjoyed!!

Groovee · 14/05/2017 21:55

Amazing @Groovester.

Had a good day food wise. So tired though x

didireallysaythat · 14/05/2017 22:13

So fell of the wagon last Friday, redeemed myself tonight and I've just put oats in the fridge. I skipped my weigh in last week (I'm doing this online) but I will weigh this week once I decide where the scales are going to be. I do wish slimming world had an app, a scanner or anything like that.

Does anyone use MFP to track with SW ? It's the fact you get no prompts on the healthy extras so I don't do them most days. If it was easier to see them, or if at the end if the day it told me I'd missed them again I might do something about it !

Groovee · 15/05/2017 06:52

@didireallysaythat I use the slimit app to keep track of my healthy extras and my syns.

katplva · 15/05/2017 07:25

I have the slimming world lifeline online app thing didi I mainly use it for the 'food search' part, to check for syns when I'm out food shopping. But it also has a progress tracker with a graph etc which is nice enough. A scanner would be brilliant though.

didireallysaythat · 15/05/2017 08:11

@katplva does it have a database of what's a S, P, F, hexa, hexb ? I had a look but it looked like you have to manually enter in everything so I'd need to have the website open to find out what the syn count is etc etc ?

katplva · 15/05/2017 09:04

It doesn't have a full list of healthy extras (that I can find anyway!) - I tend to use my book for that. But if you look up a food in the 'food search' function then it will tell you if it's a Hex A or B by a little green HE symbol next to it. I agree that they definitely need to improve the app to make it more useful - could you contact them with your suggestions?

emwithme · 15/05/2017 09:34

The SW App is SHIT. They know this. They have been being told this for at least 7 years. They have been "planning to bring out a barcode scanner" for at least 5 years.

We still don't have a decent app with a barcode scanner, but hey, you can get all manner of shit sausages now Hmm

Been 90% on plan all weekend, which is good as I had shit news on Friday (I narrowly failed my latest module at college which is worth 35% of the year's marks - but from what I'm reading online about 70% of people have also failed it) so I was mostly (a) revising for a resit this week and (b) trying to avoid jumping into a vat of chocolate.

However, I forgot to make my eggy muffins yesterday so I had to have weetabix this morning, so that's thrown things. I only have enough milk left for two coffees, so it'll be fruit tea at work. Oh well, a change is as good as a rest!

Today's plan:
B: Weetabix and Milk (HEB and HEA)
L: Ham and egg salad, apple, pear, satsuma
D: Cajun chicken with rice and salad.

And tomorrow is another day...

OwlinaTree · 15/05/2017 11:31

Sorry about your results em, what a shame. I'm sure you'll pass it next time. Well done for avoiding the chocolate, you know where your syns are going today!
