We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

Yikes Groovster! I'd be exactly the same, I put weight on so easily. You'll lose that quickly though as it'll not be proper weight, more retaining water weight. Good luck!

LavenderRainbows · 06/05/2017 21:37

shamoffour · 06/05/2017 21:44

Lemony wow that's some achievement!

God I could cry dd1(12) has come down with chickenpox, we've got 3 other children who haven't had it and we go away in 2 weeks and 6 days. This has fucking disaster written all over it hasn't it?Sad

Groovee · 06/05/2017 22:14

Oh Sham.

Groovester, you can get it off again xx

Groovester · 06/05/2017 22:25

Thanks guys. I'm not too upset as it was a conscious decision to have a break. I just went a bit mad with it. Wasn't even like what I ate before SW. I did eat rubbish but not all that in a week!

OwlinaTree · 06/05/2017 22:52

Oh Groovster, bet you enjoyed yourself Grin.

Oh no Sham! That is unfortunate, are you going abroad? In my experience, sibs usually get the pox 2 weeks after the first one gets them, hope that's not the case for your DC.

Owl these are from Asda. They were ok and the least syns at 2.5 each but I wouldn't crave them again.

Basin OH had foot surgery a couple of years ago. Took him a few days to realise bum on stairs was the way to go. I had told him but he was sure it wouldn't be so bad ....

Yesterday was good - even managed to take DD to amazing gelato place and I just had a cuppa, and then she and OH had Asda pizza for tea and I had a salad. Go me.

Yesterday
B - melon
L - celery soup, ryvita and laughing cows (A and B)
D - big salad with caesar dressing (2), parmesan (6), croutons (5), chicken and grapes. Mini Twister (2.5)
S - ham, Snaps (3), Special K bar (5)

madein1995 · 07/05/2017 13:53

Hi peachy
Isaulte SW salads sound good, especially the nice weather we might have soon Grin my work (Tesco) is becoming very health conscious, I’ve spied fry light in the canteen. They do some SW meals but I’m not sure how SW friendly they are – eg they fry chicken in fry light but then pour in a jar of sauce and call it SW friendly so I’ve not risked it, but I do like the salad bar they have.
Pea great on the NSV!
Basin hope DH feels better soon
Groovester it’s likely not real weight, ‘just’ water so a week on plan ought to see you back on track

Has anyone seen the fruitella foams? They’re sugar free and low in syns so have been looking but no luck. Supposed to be in Morrisons and Asda but no luck as yet. Suspect it’ll be like the chip shop curry which I only got to try months after it came out due to them flying off the shelves Grin

In other news, have made a new lovely pasta dish modelled on the tesco Italian kitchen mushroom tagliatelle, but syn free! I can’t get on with quark (sw carbonara tasted like cheesy egg with pasta). I boiled linguine and while that was boiling, fried some bacon, mushrooms and onion in fry light. Weighed out 100g lighest philly (made enough for 2 portions), put in a dollop along with a dash of the 120ml milk I measured out (as split between two, 50g philly and 60ml semi skimmed milk equals healthy extra A) and stirred, repeated until all the cheese and milk was in and it had made a kind of sauce. Left on the heat to thicken, chucked in garlic/basil/oregano and stirred. Then served pasta and split the sauce between two plates. It was gorgeous, and actually tasted better than the supermarket stuff, so easy and quick to do too – no more than 20 mins so an easy meal to chuck together when I get in late etc.

Also the rigid gymming plan's not happened Grin went yesterday but they were shut, was going to go today but decided not to as wanted a nice lazy day for once. Will go tomorrow, and definitely going to classes Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, we shall see what happens on Tuesday though. I find it easier going after work - I'm already up so not getting up special for the gym (do a sedentary job though) - wheras today I'd have gotten up at 10 just for the gym (couldnt go later as rely on lifts there and back). Will try and do some kind of exercise every day though, from tomorrow on.

Boatsnack · 07/05/2017 15:35

Another 2lb off I'm surprised because I wasn't 100% this week.

groovester I'm sure it'll come back off easily I bet it was worth it.

sham what a nightmare, hopefully it'll be OK.

Groovee · 07/05/2017 17:07

Well done Boat

Made that sounds nice. I use low low cheese now being sold as go go cheese.

I'm so tired today. My iron tablets aren't kicking in yet.

shamoffour · 07/05/2017 17:09

Thanks everybody, we are going to try and get them vaccinated tomorrow as this can stop it or in the very least they will get a mild dose.
Dd1 is really struggling today she's covered in them and feels really poorlySad
Food has been so so I'm maintaining rather than loosing though which is not good!
I'm going to meal plan tomorrow as I feel very disorganised and I'm eating bad things just because I've not prepared things.

Boatsnack · 07/05/2017 17:20

Poor soul sham it's usually worse when they are bigger. I've heard that the poxcillin mousse is really good. I have a recurring nightmare that I wake up one morning with chicken pox I've never had them. I think I must be immune though.

BasinHaircut · 07/05/2017 17:53

Hi all just checking in. I've been off plan since Thursday night and I've a hangover today but tonight's dinner is SW friendly and back in it tomorrow.

Does anyone know if there is a joining voucher anywhere at the moment? Someone has asked me as they want to join and I don't want to ask my consultant as she is in hospital.

BasinHaircut · 07/05/2017 17:54

I've also gathered some determination from the fact that I'm no longer going on holiday next week. No reason to wait for that back to basics week. Starting tomorrow.

trinitybleu · 07/05/2017 18:33

Today -
B - lie in Grin
L - speed soup, ryvita(B)
D - chicken with bacon, mushrooms and cheese (from Asda - 2), Cajun wedges, salad (2 for mayo)
S - Snaps (3), 2 x toasted Hot X Buns Blush (10?? I dunno)

Was doing fine til DD had leftover pizza and toasted hot cross buns Sad

ALemonyPea · 07/05/2017 19:06

That's the spirit Basin. Back on it, near target, you got this.

Trinity, I was doing great today until DS1 left half his chocolate fudge cake and custard. Only had two spoonfuls, but my god is was heaven.

Boatsnack · 07/05/2017 19:30

I was nightshift last night so only been up since 3pm but so far I've had
B kiwi, strawberries and peach with greek yoghurt

L/D chicken casserole, rice and veg

One of the girls I work with made truffles so I ate a chocolate truffle with a mini cream egg inside it at 3 am this morning. No willpower in the middle of the night 🙊 It was worth it!

shamoffour · 07/05/2017 19:39

Thank you boat she is currently sat in a bath of porridge.
Go for it basin you sound very motivated!

OwlinaTree · 07/05/2017 20:48

Busy day over here. Ds is going onto hospital for a minor op next week, so we had a pre visit for him to the children's ward this morning. Then on to the garden centre for lunch and to buy some plants for the garden. Back to our house and spent the afternoon weeding, digging, clearing away rubbish, planting, mowing the lawn etc. Good couple of hours. Garden looks much better. I'm aching from all the bending, and interestingly have logged no active minutes on my fitbit! ShockGrin

Food OK today
B scrambled eggs and raisin wheats
L jacket spud, ham and salad, tiny bit of Coleslaw
S Apple, Orange, yoghurt
D chilli and rice, veg in chilli, berries and yoghurt
Probably a bit of Easter egg choc too!
I estimate about 11.5 syns, lunch was in cafe so have to guess a bit!
