We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

Nice one lemony!

Groovee · 02/05/2017 13:41

Fantastic @ALemonyPea

ALemonyPea · 02/05/2017 13:46

Thanks. I am dead on the stone as well, so next week I should be in the next lower stone, haven't been there since 2000/1

Well done lemony, what a fab achievement!

2ish hours till post holiday weigh in!

Groovee · 02/05/2017 15:55

Went to the earlier class today. Lost 1.5lb. Not quite the 2lb I was hoping for! I am now 2st 3.5lb down since January and 2st 13.5lb since I started which I think is great work. My BMI was 44 and is now 36.1 which I am over joyed about.

ALemonyPea · 02/05/2017 18:46

Good luck Owl and well done Groovee.

Fantastic Alemony what an achievement! What is your target loss? Mine is to lose 5 stone but this last stone is taking a lot longer than the others!
I have been on track all week so hopefully I will have a bit of a loss tomorrow.
I've been on a course all day (took my own dinner) I have now just eaten a whole box of lovely sweet sable grapes Blush
Which I guess is much better than chocolate but my belly might complain later!!

Well done groovee

OwlinaTree · 02/05/2017 19:26

Well done groovee. Unbelievably I lost 1.5lb too! Wow!

whereareyousleep · 02/05/2017 19:45

Well done lemony that's such an achievement my target is to lose 6.5 stone so it's good to see it can be done.

Well done to all the other losers Smile

3.5lb off for me taking me to 1st 10.5lb lost and got my club 10 tonight too. Was hoping to lose 2st by 1st June so on track for that. Did have a stomach bug this week though so I think that helped Wink

ALemonyPea · 02/05/2017 20:12

When I started SW, I wanted to lose 7.5 stone, then when I was losing really big amounts, I changed it to 8 stone. Then my weight loss slowed down and so I changed it to 7. So I have 6.5lb to go to target now which would be the 7 stone. Once I am there, I'm going to maintain and then maybe lose a further half a stone in July before my holiday. I am quite happy as I am, but want to fit nicely into a size 12, currently in a loose 14, some 12 and 10 leggings. Tops, again are mainly a 12, some 14 and some 10.

I wanted to be a 14 when I started, I was a 22, so I'm surprised at wanting to be a 12, or even fitting into a 12 as it is.

It is doable, as long as you put the work in. I can't wait to get to target so I don't have to stress every week.

Well done @OwlinaTree and @whereareyousleep on your losses.

Had a great night at Burlesque. Need my bed now.

Seeing the consultant at the hospital regarding Gynae problems tomorrow. Hoping my weight loss so far is enough x

BasinHaircut · 02/05/2017 21:38

Good luck for tomorrow grovvee.

Well done everyone on losses today.

Had a good day on plan today. I've got other stuff on my mind so not thinking about food that much which is helping Grin

Hoping for half a pound off this week but weekend was not on plan so who knows. Weigh in not till Thursday.

I'm at a wedding the weekend so another day off plan there. Then it's off to Italy the weekend after which will certainly not be on plan, I intend to enjoy the food there very much and just compensate with lots of walking.

OwlinaTree · 02/05/2017 22:17

Thanks groovee, good luck for tomorrow.

Basin, just stick to plan when you can and enjoy when you can't. Italy sounds fab, deffo one of my favourite cuisines too!

ALemonyPea · 02/05/2017 22:50

Well done on your post holiday weight Owl!

5lbs off this week for me!

didireallysaythat · 02/05/2017 23:02

Ok so I joined on line. I've been tracking online. Syns less than 15 each day I think (I'm using the website to calculate). I'm hungry but travelling a lot with work so I'm trying to make good choices with limited volumes of veg available. My weigh day should be Thursday (but I'm away) so I had a quick check this evening. 1kg maybe ? I've no idea if I'm doing it right - I've done ww before and there was more 'to do' what with tracking and weighing all the time. Now I'm just logging what I'm eating, but I've no idea if I'm eating twice as much as I should be ?

Is this what it feels like at the beginning ? I don't think I get anything else from slimming world in return for my £ - the website isn't really a wealth of information. Have I missed something ?

Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy with 1lb a week but in the past I've always found the first few weeks are the largest losing weeks so maybe I'm not doing it right ??

isaulte · 02/05/2017 23:19

Well done everyone on their losses - 1.5lb off for me today.

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 03/05/2017 07:00

DidI - I agree about the online support not being great. Although I knew I couldn't go to a group regularly, I went along to one as a new member and sat through the induction which was very helpful (if a bit hard sell) then said I was going to sign up online instead due to class timings, would that be a possibility?

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 03/05/2017 07:01

What I nean is the half hour introduction you get at your first meeting before you sign on the dotted line.

ALemonyPea · 03/05/2017 07:28

Well done losers, especially. Alone, know what that means to you.

I agree with Who, try do to a group just for the books and talk. I know I'd not have a clue looking online as to what to do.

didireallysaythat · 03/05/2017 07:46

I might see if I can find a group and sit in for half an hour. The local one won't work for me - it's like a funeral wake and noone in the room appears to have any spark about them - it's a bit like walking into an invasion of the body snatchers or something (and I say this from experience as I have tried to use a car park at the same time as the members - very few can reverse, park straight, and they can't/move out of your way. Plus when I walked in to a mtg once (I was in the wrong room) noone would talk to me when I asked where the right room was (next door it turns out - not sure how you can be unaware of your surroundings unless you are a zombie...).

Sorry. That wasn't positive was is ?! Is there a way of finding out about mtg leaders - they all have the same paragraph on the website and I know when I did ww that a motivated, personable leader makes all the difference !

Zed1707 · 03/05/2017 08:37

@didireallysaythat I'm doing t online as well.. started last week.. took me a good few days to get my head around the whole concept but this group has been really helpful and a fountain of knowledge.. I lost 5lb the first week.

Someone explained the whole concept really well a few days ago, I'll see if I can find the msg.. It helps to keep a food diary so you know where you're going wrong..

didireallysaythat · 03/05/2017 08:42

@zed many thanks ! I get the idea of unprocessed protein, veg and fruit being good in quantities. Cook from scratch (without oil) and you're sorted. And anything else including processed food including yogurts, bread, floor etc I've been synning. That appears to be it in a nut shell (the tracker takes care of the a and b foods).

Have I missed something ? I've swapped tea and coffee for herbal and I'm trying to up my water.
