We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

Lemony I wish, I was driving everyone! Dp got the hard stare when he ordered the third pintGrin

ALemonyPea · 22/04/2017 11:39

Morning campers. Has anyone got anything exciting planned this weekend?

It's cold here today, wish the sunshine would hurry up so I can get into the salad spirit and wear all my lovely new clothes.

DH wants to have a BBQ tomorrow, and it's meant to be sunny, but he's probably cursed that now and it'll rain.

Holiday countdown! Supposed to be leaving in 12 minutes, but not looking likely!! Never on time chez owl.

Have had porridge for breakfast lol. Last meal on plan for a while I expect!

Groovee · 22/04/2017 12:43

Just had a big salad for lunch. Out for Mexican tonight.

Boatsnack · 22/04/2017 12:55

Currently trying to prise dd away from minecraft so we can go swimming.

I attempted to make overnight oats but it was vile so ended up just having some strawberries with yoghurt for breakfast. Pasta for lunch and I have no idea what I'm making for dinner.

Enjoy your holiday owl

LavenderRains · 22/04/2017 13:01

Have a good holiday owl
I'm at work today, currently on lunch break eating ham peppers and gherkins as I wasn't organised enough to make anything.
Had weetaBix for breakfast (hexA&B)
Will be having chicken and jacket potato later. Working again tomorrow.
Have a good weekend everyone, hope the sun shines!

BasinHaircut · 22/04/2017 13:21

Happy holidays owl!

I'm off on a hen do today and am planning on treating myself to some off plan hangover food tomorrow. Then back to it on Monday.

I'm wearing a skirt that I bought last October and it was so tight I couldn't wear it as it would ride up and show my arse when I walked. It's a teeny but loose now and looks fab even if I do say so myself

Have a good weekend all. I probably won't post anymore as I'm off plan but will read!

Groovee · 22/04/2017 14:30

@Boatsnack what did you make your oats from?

maygirl · 22/04/2017 15:15

Have fun Owl and Basin & everyone else!
No exciting plans here. Saturday mornings are my mega gym sessions so I'm shattered but in a good way!

B carrot porridge heB, 0.5 syn of maple syrup, 1/4 heA hazelnut milk
L cauliflower pizza with rest heA mozzarella, + turkey, onion, with a salad
Some more of my bar of choc, 8 syns
D not sure, chicken or beef

DC doing a fun run tomorrow, hope its sunny here!

LavenderRains · 22/04/2017 15:30

boar I hated overnight oats. They were like cold vomitShock

Boatsnack · 22/04/2017 16:15

@Groovee I used low sugar muesli, natural yoghurt and berries. The taste was fine but the texture was horrible. I'll stick to normal muesli and porridge the old fashioned way.

Enjoy your night out basin

LavenderRains · 22/04/2017 17:30

Sorry boat not boar🙈

AgathaMystery · 22/04/2017 18:13

No big plans here - I am doing couch 2 5k and it's hard - I am so unfit!

Breakfast was scrambled egg & beans & tomatoes with bread for HEB.

Lunch was pasta with tomatoes & light pesto.

Have snacked on strawberries... no idea about supper!

ALemonyPea · 22/04/2017 19:41

Can I just make everyone aware of this delightful treat. Mini vienetta from Iceland (called Vienna) for 3.5 syns. Yummmmmm

Have a lovely holiday Owl.

Have a lovely holiday Owl! Em and Lemony you would make GREAT consultants, I always look forward to your posts on here.

As semi-expected I have put last week's 1.5lb loss straight back on, either because my 'week lag' theory is correct and I wasn't that good last week, or possibly because I've had a stinking cold this week and have consumed masses of things on toast (with butter) rather than eating properly. Sigh, I'm such an idiot.

I am just putting the same few pounds off and on again, I think someone is going to have to get the stick out for me. I wonder if I'm just not motivated enough at the moment.

I'm about to go away for a week's conference followed by a few days home and then a week's holiday, so I'm not terribly optimistic about the next few weeks either. Maybe I should just give up for a bit and start again when I get back from holiday, but that seems really lame. There are so many delicious things to eat on SW, I really don't know why I keep caving in for bread and glasses of wine. Gah.

Boatsnack · 22/04/2017 20:40

lemony that looks so good.

I made turkey curry for dinner and portioned up a bit extra to take to work with me. Hopefully be able to stay away from the treats.

agatha I'm planning to get back to C25K soon, I did it before and got to week5 but I lost my mojo. I've been doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred this week trying to build up my fitness.

Boatsnack · 22/04/2017 21:43

Does anyone know why bachelors cup a soups have syns but mugshots don't? I forgot I had a couple of chicken noodle cup a soups in my locker but they are 4.5 syns whereas mugshots are free.

emwithme · 22/04/2017 21:56

Well I did it. I did yesterday on plan - albeit with another early night to avoid the bored mouth - and I'm on track to do today on plan, too.

Tonight for dinner we had the Spring Lamb Hotpot from the Free & Easy cookbook - slightly tweaked from the actual recipe in the book as we've done it before and found it had the usual SW deficit of being too runny! I've got a portion left over for Monday's lunch

That looks gorgeous Lemony I do like a nice vienetta. How big is it?

ALemonyPea · 22/04/2017 22:06

Thanks Noodle.

Well done Em! I agree about SW recipes being runny, why do they add stock to every bloody recipe? I make the easy chicken curry, but leave the stock out otherwise it's like soup.

The mini vienetta is about the size of a small twister lolly, quite substantial and worth every syn. I bought two boxes Blush

Has anyone tried heck chicken sausages? They're half a syn each. I've just had three with beans tomatoes and wholemeal bread for my breakfast and they were really nice!

My house is still full of chocolate, I cracked yesterday and ate a mars bar Confused it was amazing lol

AgathaMystery · 23/04/2017 10:44

Just crammed a chunk of Easter egg in Blush

OrianaBanana · 23/04/2017 11:20

I love Heck sausages!! Can't quite believe they're so low syn. I think I ate a whole packet of them (mostly cold from the fridge) one day.

I am in a coffee shop with just a coffee! This is a momentous thing, usually can't resist cake. I SHOULD be at home cooking a roast lamb lunch but I had to take the baby for a walk to get her to sleep and I'm hiding in here.

B - weetabix, coffee (HExA & B)
L - roast lamb, mash, gravy (1), Yorkshire pud (2), cauliflower, carrot and neep. Kremas yoghurt (1)
D - turkey speed salad
S - hifi light (HExB), flat white (HExA), if I'm under 10 syns by 7pm I'll have a slimline G&T

emwithme · 23/04/2017 12:36

I'm not a fan of the heck sausages. The chicken italia ones give me awful heartburn and the worst tasting burps ever and the texture's just meh - far too smooth for me, I like quite a rustic sausage, and they're just so tiny...give me a decent size banger any day Grin ! That being said, I really like the M&S skinny pork sausages (1/2 syn each) and also the new Asda low fat ones.

Noticed the Asda Slimzone foods were back in when I was there yesterday, completely changed packaging and no mention of SW anywhere to be seen (so the legal threats worked). Wonder if SW will put them on the website at any point soon?

Managed to do yesterday completely on plan, which is nice, been the first time I've done three days on the trot for a LONG time. I am minimising my syns this week because I'm having fish, chips and curry sauce from the chippy on Tuesday night (post-assessment tradition) so I'm aiming to stay around 5 most days to make up for it (apart from today when it'll be the normal 15 ish because, well, gravy and yorkie puddings)

Today's food:

B: Omelette, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes
L: Ham and pickles, small salad
D: Roast beef, roast potatoes & parsnips, yorkie puddings, carrots, cabbage, broccoli. Proper gravy.
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars or apricots depending on mood.

calzone · 23/04/2017 12:47

Oh dear
A cheese and wine party befell me last night with a chocolate fondue for dessert 😩😩

I'm going to fast today and drink water to see if it helps.

I've joined a fb group called SW5:2 or something.....2 days of fasting a week plus food optimising.

WE SHALL SEE.
