I have put on a stone since Christmas and need to start to make an effort to get rid of it before we get to warmer weather.

I'm going to post here as if I were at group, so if anyone wants to join in, that would be great Smile I have weighed myself this morning and will post regular hopefully minus figures each week. Feel free to share your figures, or not.

If nobody responds, then I guess I am talking to myself, but still...

Jeez I should preview before posting!

MyHomeHasPeculiarChildren · 04/04/2017 07:08

Hi, can I join you? I got to target about 18 months ago and been steadily creeping up since. I've now entered a triathlon in 6 weeks(!!!!) & need to not look like a weeble in a triathlon suit Grin
Would like to lose 12lbs in 6 weeks but I think it's unlikely!

MrsWembley · 04/04/2017 08:02

Well done, Hey!

And MyHome, (or would you prefer Peculiar?) it is possible, at an average of 2lb a week.Smile

I might do an SP day today...

HeyToTheHo · 04/04/2017 09:01

I'm having a go at SP today - had bran flakes and banana and milk for breakfast (HexA and HexB1)

Planning mushroom omelette and salad for lunch

Dinner saucy fish co fish with salsa verde (3 suns) with lots of veg

Maybe a slice of brown toast as a snack (HexB2)

Going to ignore bag of mini eggs in fridge!!!

MrsWembley · 04/04/2017 09:21

I'm having omelette too! Eggs are the slimmer's friends (apart from the chocolate onesWink)

Don't worry about ignoring the mini-eggs, just tell yourself that they are a reward at Easter for doing so well in the run-up. We're going camping over the BH and I'm not worrying about staying on plan then, which is my incentive for staying on plan now.

B- Omelette with mushrooms and spinach and some honey due melon.

L- Tuba in spring water mixed with red onion and cucumber and fat free fromage frais. Lettuce, radish and sugar snap peas. 3 Ryvita multigrain too.

D- Beef stir fry with noodles.

Groovee · 04/04/2017 12:26

That is honeydew and Tuna BlushBlush

HeyToTheHo · 04/04/2017 13:24

Lunch omelette turned into scrambled egg - I can never keep them in a whole omelette!!

Groovee · 04/04/2017 13:50

I bought an omelette maker as I can be so crap.

MyHomeHasPeculiarChildren · 04/04/2017 16:10

Peculiar I think Mrs Wembley Smile
Another omelette for lunch here, although the sw recipe book calls it frittata - omelette with stuff in Grin

Groovee · 04/04/2017 21:30

Lost 1.5lb this week. That's 1st 12lb in 14 weeks.

Bibs2014 · 04/04/2017 22:44

Good day for me!

Shredded wheat and SS milk

Jacket spud with chilli and salad for lunch

Spag bol and salad for dinner

Snacked on a couple of belvitas and a few cashews and edamame beans.

Bibs2014 · 04/04/2017 22:44

Well done Groovee that's amazing!

ChessieFL · 05/04/2017 12:26

HeytotheHo bananas aren't speed so you can't have them on an SP day

HeyToTheHo · 05/04/2017 12:39

Chessie noooooo!

Ah balls! I thought it was basically just cut out carbs!

Groovee · 05/04/2017 12:45

@HeyToTheHo it's only speed and protein on SP days so no banana/grapes/peas/sweet corn/yoghurt off the top of my head x

HeyToTheHo · 05/04/2017 13:20

Ho hum - I had banana and yoghurt and non alc beer yesterday Confused

Groovee · 05/04/2017 15:50

The non alc beer is fine as you syn that. Buy no banana's no yoghur,

MrsWembley · 05/04/2017 17:50

Evening, everyone!

You know on the SP food diary thing that gets given out in group, you know, the slip of paper that you stick on the fridge and forget about for three days and then fill in, trying desperately to remember everything and shocking yourself at the syns you hadn't realised you'd consumed at the time, well on it there's a small column marked something like 'occasional others' or some other kind of get-out-clause - put your banana there Wink

MrsWembley · 05/04/2017 17:50

It's where I put my fat-free natural yoghurt...

OP posts:
MrsWembley · 05/04/2017 17:52

Peculiar, I like a frittata too, but as I can't spell it without the help of the computer, I just say I'm having a big omelette Grin

OP posts:
HeyToTheHo · 05/04/2017 22:19

I'm def feeling less bloated so hopefully will be reflected on the scales on Saturday!

I discovered that mini eggs are synned at 1.5 each or 25g for 6 syns. 25g = 7 mini eggs. I guess they rounded up for the per egg value. Guess which way I synned them Grin

Omelette and massive salad for lunch with syn free hummous

Dinner - steamed salmon with small jacket pot, and mixed veg. 1 tsp benecol - 1 syn

Ran out of yoghurt so popped to shop and bought onken 0% fat strawberry yog - only to find it's not free. Arse!

7 syns total - Not too shabby

TheShapeofYou · 05/04/2017 22:49

I'm being rubbish, but am off to the Canary islands tomorrow, all-inclusive for 10 days! So will no doubt put a good few pounds back on (it's taken me six months of SW to lose a stone).

Just thought I'd mention about omelettes, as I'm a bit of a master of them now (if I do say so myself!). The trick is to add a wee splash of milk to the eggs, whisk up, then pour in the frying pan on a low/medium heat (it shouldn't make a noise). Make sure frying pan is covered in mixture then leave it alone! No poking or prodding. Pop the grill on high. When you notice the mixture starting to solidify, turn hob off and shove under grill until just-cooked definitely don't add half a pound of grated cheddar at this point.

Et voila! Do not ever try to flip; they are not pancakes.

Enjoy Smile

Bibs2014 · 06/04/2017 14:51

Yesterday was awful as it was my sister's bday so we had Chinese and cake. The rest of the day was good tho - shredded wheat, fruit, ham salad so hoping 1 meal doesn't make that much of a difference!

Back on track today:

B - shredded wheat and milk, latte
L - chicken, halloumi, half a pitta, salad with chickpeas, aubergine, lentils, green beans, cous cous, beetroot - DIVINE!
D - something with chicken
