BasinHaircut · 31/03/2017 16:46

*foody not goofy! I should preview my posts!

OwlinaTree · 31/03/2017 17:01

I've got 3 more weigh ins till I go on holiday! I'm 1.5lb away from my next award. I'd love to get that this week as I'll then be only 13lb from target. Another couple off before holiday would be great, I'll deffo be off plan when I'm on holiday!! #

TheImprobableGirl · 31/03/2017 18:42

I've got 3 weigh ins till my holiday too owlina I've got 5.5lbs until my stone award which I really wanted before I went so I'm going to have to crack down on it!

TheImprobableGirl · 31/03/2017 18:51

I'm in for an on plan April basin I've got a wedding on 21st and then a holiday for the week but will be on plan before then!

willpoweriskey · 31/03/2017 19:10

Hi all

Been on track today, even with a rotten cold and a very hyper toddler!

B: 2 slice toast
L: baked potato tuna and salad
D: bacon egg and chips

Syns on a mini twister lolly and a Hifi and will prob have something small later, throats aching so maybe another lolly.

Anyone else find it incredibly hard to keep motivated on the weekend?!

Shamoffour · 31/03/2017 21:14

Good day today.

B-poached eggs, spinach, asparagus, mushrooms, tomatoes and bacon
L- mug of lentil and bacon soup, satsuma
D- bowl of chicken and veg soup, pear
Fat free Greek yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, walnuts and almonds(heb) agave nectar(1) and a teaspoon of granola(2?)

alibongo5 · 31/03/2017 21:53

Well done Groovee - fabulous achievement!

And I totally agree Alfie I don't have huge losses but I am going in the right direction while still enjoying myself - and that's the way I want it!

Today more or less completely off plan. It's my daughter's 21st tomorrow and she's home from uni for the weekend. We spent the day round Birmingham's jewellery quarter trying to find a necklace for her. Failed but had a nice day with both lunch and dinner out. Just home and opened the red wine. Another week until I hit target methinks! But do I regret it? Nope.

OwlinaTree · 31/03/2017 22:45

My dh ordered Chinese takeaway tonight! I managed to resist and had spag bol instead. V difficult though! I'd better have a loss this week!!

BasinHaircut · 01/04/2017 07:05

Yep also agree with alfie, if you can be even 50% on plan it's a good thing, and as long as it's coming off over time it doesn't really matter how slow or fast because you are taking better care of yourself overall and that's the main thing.

Ok it's 1st April today so that means totally on plan for 30 days* here I come.

  • apart from those I've already declared Grin
Alfieisnoisy · 01/04/2017 07:46

Thank you folks...yes I had a small gain of 1lb but that will be gone next week as there are no major social events.

Lulooo · 01/04/2017 08:00

Hi all. Haven't posted for a while and want to catch up and read on the last 10+pages of posts but just a quick check in to say I'm in for April too.
I've had a big lifestyle change for the past three months which has meant that I haven't been around food at all during the day and could only eat early morning and late evening, which made things a lot easier. But now I'm at home/work again for most of the day and need to focus.

So far I've lost 1 stone 10lbs in 12 weeks. I'm happy with that but as a 5'1 shortie that's still overweight. My target weight is still 2 stone away and it feels unreachable sometimes. I'm going on holiday at the end of May and would really love to lose another stone by then.

Frouby · 01/04/2017 08:12

Morning all

Well done Grove, fab losses! Am weljel.

Had a couple of really on plan days Wednesday and Thursday. Slightly off yesterday with thai takeaway last night and a couple of tiger beers. But Friday night is treat night to am ok with it.

I am making tapas for tea. Never done it before. We are having patatas bravas, prawn and parsley frittata, some prawns in a spicy tomato and chorizo sauce, and salmon in a lime and chilli dressing. Going to serve it with a big salad, olives and some picky bits of continental meat. Not sure what syns will be but should be quite low if I go steady with the oil.

Poor ds is very bored with his chicken pox and I am too. He isn't really poorly with it, hasn't had a temp at all just a bit grumpy. It's just a massive pain not being able to leave the house. I practically count down the minutes until dp is home so I can walk the dog lol.

The only plus is the house is nice and clean.

FizzySmile · 01/04/2017 08:45

Wow, well done to Groovester and all you other amazing losers, some seriously impressive and motivating losses there!

Having lost another 2 1/2 lbs this week, I have made it to the 1 1/2 stone award, which feels great! Didn't think I'd come this far in 7 weeks, yay!

Made the mistake of standing on the scales midweek, showing an increase in 2lbs!!!! Gutted!!!! However, all was well at this morning's WI, though was dreading it!
How weird that weight can fluctuate so much from day to day!?

No more midweek WIs for me, can't take the angst and stress it causes! Confused

OwlinaTree · 01/04/2017 10:42

Sw leader has just text and asked me to help with the weigh ins this week. I'm quite surprised as I'm a reasonably quiet member of the group really, although my dh said it could be because I've been going for a while now. Anyone else do the social team bit?

ALemonyPea · 01/04/2017 10:52

Well done losers.

I'm on the social team, the only benefit you get is getting weighed before everyone else. I feel a bit obligated to go to the group though, and hate having to tell my consultant I can't make it and going to an earlier one.

OP posts:
OwlinaTree · 01/04/2017 11:13

I do normally stay to group so maybe that's why she's asked me.

OrianaBanana · 01/04/2017 11:45

We used to get a free mag which was nice. It did tie you down and make you feel obliged to make the same session every week. I dont know what consultants would do without the social team!

Frouby · 01/04/2017 12:22

I think sw is bloody cheeky setting up a slimming club that you pay to attend and then the work.is done by members who are paying to attend! It would be like paying for membership at a gym then doing a stint on reception.

OwlinaTree · 01/04/2017 13:13

Imagine how long it would take though I'd the leader had to do everything!

OwlinaTree · 01/04/2017 13:13

If not I'd, sorry

alibongo5 · 01/04/2017 13:16

I agree Frouby - it's always grated on me that people are asked to volunteer for money-making businesses.

Groovee · 01/04/2017 13:38

When I joined SW in 2005, the consultant did everything! You'd arrive, have to wait to pay then jump on the scales and be there for about an hour before image therapy started.

But I do find the social team are more encouraging than the consultant!

Lulooo · 01/04/2017 13:40

Fizzy, I made the same mistake as you- I did a mid-week weight in and seem to have put 2lb on which makes me feel shite. I know I shouldn't do it but I'm just impatient.

I also think it's weird how SW has paying members volunteering to help out the consultant in doing her job. They should at least get free membership. It's not a charity. All proceeds go to SW and the consultant.

Groovee · 01/04/2017 13:41

I've been out on antibiotics for a month for a lump to check it's not infected. I feel floored. Between most likely having no iron and the antibiotics, my poor body is probably thinking WTF!
