Well it's helpful to read them to know you need to cook in cold water at first rather than just covering like normal cous cous Blush.

But I cooked in garlic, chicken stock and a hint of curry powder. Then added mushrooms, onions and spinach to it. Will be lovely cold for lunch at work x

alibongo5 · 27/03/2017 15:07

Ooh Groovee that sounds delicious!

Improbable - 3lb from last week, but as I put on 1lb last week, in my head it's only the 2lb I needed to lose this time last week if you see what I mean. I know it's not logicial but it's the way my brain is working! I think I may get 1lb or even 2 but I don't think the 3. I must find my lightest ever clothes to wear!

OrianaBanana · 27/03/2017 15:53

Ali, people at my group have been known to remove their bra on the scales... it worked!

Linda131963 · 27/03/2017 16:01

www.popsugar.co.uk/fitness/Slow-Cooker-Chickpea-Coconut-Curry-Under-400-Calories-38424090

This is the chickpea curry recipe, but I substituted cauliflower with a carrot and a parsnip as that's what I had in. Got about 6 more portions in the freezer too. And I cooked it on the hob for a couple of hours v low rather than the slow cooker.

Just walking to WI now to see how awful I've been this week ....

maygirl · 27/03/2017 17:31

Good luck everyone WI tonight!

Ended up grabbing Alpen light bars to have at work for breakfast as running late.
L tuna salad
Banana, grapes, satsuma
D sardine fillet with ratatouille, maybe pasta if v hungry.
Didn't plan properly today after v late night and its ended up being quite fishy!
HeB the alpen lights, heA milk. Not sure on syns yet.

Alfieisnoisy · 27/03/2017 17:32

whistlemytune · 27/03/2017 17:36

Hi! Newbie here! Joined SW online on Saturday evening. Today has been my first proper day on SW. Feeling really good - my Asda shop came today too! Loads of yummy fresh stuff! Yay!

TheImprobableGirl · 27/03/2017 17:41

Hi whistle good luck on your journey!

I lost a none-too-shabby 3lbs! Cancels out my 2.5lb gain plus a bit more which I'm really happy with

LavenderRains · 27/03/2017 18:19

Well done girl 3lb is fab!
Welcome whistle you will find great tips on here, we are a friendly bunchGrin encouraging each other through losses and gains!
I started my sw journey in October and have lost 4 stone 2lb to date. I found it a bit tough at the start as my diet was so poor! But now I love it. Like all of us, I have good and bad days but unlike before, I make sure I get straight back on plan after a blip. And I've never eaten so much fruit and veg in my life! I'm a tiny bit addicted to mango!!

BasinHaircut · 27/03/2017 18:24

I lost 1.5lbs.

faints

LavenderRains · 27/03/2017 19:02

Blimey basin well doneGrin

Emmageddon · 27/03/2017 19:21

Well done all you losers and welcome @whistlemytune.

Weigh in tomorrow, I am not too hopeful. I have been eating on plan, but had a few nights out where wine was involved. Yes, I know I could have had a diet soft drink or a couple of vodkas and diet tonic but I wanted wine.

On and I have a rescue tabby called Alfie - not an elderly fat tomcat after all, but a pregnant female Shock We got him her 8 weeks ago, to keep the dog company while we are working. Now it looks like we'll be owners of several kittens - I am a bit peeved with the Cat's Protection League to be honest, because they claimed Alfie was a neutered male. She's a lovely cat though, very affectionate, and she and the dog are besties (he's a very needy Yorkie).

Anyway if anyone wants a kitten, let me know. Wink CPL have said they will find homes for the kittens and will then spay her, so I guess that's a fair compromise.

Groovee · 27/03/2017 19:28

Well done @TheImprobableGirl and @BasinHaircut.

Welcome @whistlemytune

TheImprobableGirl · 27/03/2017 19:36

Good job basin just waiting to see if Ali blasts her target now! Fingers x'd

Linda131963 · 27/03/2017 19:39

Oh no ! A lady Alfie !!! Ours is a rescue , defo a boy and been done ! She sounds lovely though ! CPL not very observant tho ! X

whistlemytune · 27/03/2017 19:50

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Well done on your losses! I'm very motivated by them!

I've had 1 syn all day, so I'm trying to find something yummy to spend 9 syns on. An evening treat for a job well done! Haha! Any ideas? (I'm not having chocolate this month, because I'm DeChoxing for the British Heart Foundation).

BasinHaircut · 27/03/2017 20:00

Thanks all.

I ended up staying to group and it was a bit livelier than recent weeks. I absolutely did not deserve that but it means that the 1.5lb gain is cancelled out so I'm feeling incredibly smug.

So I'm total 15lbs down and 7lbs from target. (Finally checked with my consultant and I had set a target, but she said I can call target before that if I need to).

Hoping ali has smashed it!

LavenderRains · 27/03/2017 20:06

whistle how about some crisps? 6 for a bag of walkers.
Slice of wholemeal toast and butter 6

ALemonyPea · 27/03/2017 20:10

Well done losers, you especially Basin.

WI for me tomorrow, I am expecting a gain. I'll be fine with that, it's deserved at least.

Does anyone know what the lowest syn cake is from Costa?

OrianaBanana · 27/03/2017 20:18

whistle what about an alcoholic drink? A lovely glass of wine? Wine

OrianaBanana · 27/03/2017 20:19

Lemony possibly biscotti?

harderandharder2breathe · 27/03/2017 20:24

I get my (small, very small. Extra small this year due to being off sick half of last year) annual bonus on Friday. I'm buying an under counter freezer as currently I only have a freezer shelf in my fridge, so tiny. I feel very grown up for such a grown up spending spree!

Once it's here I plan to order one of the Two Chubby Cubs Musclefood deals to fill it up and start batch cooking.

Until Friday I'm skint tho so having wheetabix for breakfast and lunch at work. Living the dream.

ALemonyPea · 27/03/2017 21:09

I desperately need my new kitchen done so I can have my massive freezer and can batch loads of yummy things.
