Great to see how well folk are doing ! I joined joined Slimming world in Jan this year and have been going quite well , got my club 10 this week which was great , 10 weeks to club 10 , lucky 10 ! Still a long way to go ! Had a weekend completely off plan , went out Fri and all weekend constant meals out , drinking and buffets ! But fantastic news is , has made me feel so rubbish and desperate to get back to my healthy ways ! So worth it because now l know l could never go back to my old ways ! Been a yo-yo dieter for years feeling hopeful this is the end of the line . Not looking forward to weigh in this week but feel great about my journey so far ( good and bad ! ) X

BasinHaircut · 26/03/2017 19:41

Well done linda!

So I've worked out I have 6 syns left for today after dinner, which was smoked salmon, pesto (2syns worth) and quark pasta, with lettuce, courgette and pepper. Yummy.

Maybe 6 squares of 85% chocolate for a treat and finish my first day back on plan on 15 syns.

Welcome Linda x

My Mother's Day free brunch. It was so tasty!

DH is currently whipping up a SW chicken tikka masala and I'm starving! Can't wait!

Glad to see that everyone has had good days. Doesn't a bit of sunshine change everything? We've had a brilliant weekend. Day at park yesterday and swimming today. My NSV: I've always gone swimming with the kids even at my heaviest but would never draw extra attention to myself therefore wouldn't get out the pool to queue up for the flumes etc. Well ladies, today I did and had an absolute ball and my son was delighted that we went down them together. Didn't mind sitting up in the paddling pool area with my wee girl either. Before I would lie down as much as possible in a bid to hide the flab...
Lunch out. Went for veggie lasagna. Skipped chips and got a large side salad instead. It did come with 2 bits of garlic bread but I gave half to my husband so all in all not too bad. It said 550 calories on the menu so I think I've done ok.
In other news my maintain last week can definitely be put down to being premenstrual so hoping to get that elusive pound off on Thursday night.

OrianaBanana · 26/03/2017 20:46

On plan this week, Mother's Day lunch was sea bass from the new book. Yum!

Slimming World Support #3 2017
Shamoffour · 26/03/2017 21:48

Wow some amazing looking food!
Oriana that seabass look gorgeous.
I've had a lovely Mother's Day too, we went out with me mum and our kids for Lebanese it was gorgeous. I didn't drink or have a dessert. I had various kebabs but stuck to the ones made of cubes of meat rather than mince. I had a pitta bread but no rice (it is fried with lentils and deep fried onions) and had a salad. Hopefully I haven't done too much damage!

OwlinaTree · 26/03/2017 22:49

That looks lush oriana.

Alfieisnoisy · 27/03/2017 06:42

Linda, you must be mirroring me. I got my Club10 this week too...and joined in January.Smile

Finding the plan very easy thankfully.

On days when I am out and about I sometimes just count up to 1500 calories as I am an appalling planner.

Enjoyed my Mothers Day treats yesterday but 100% back on plan today.

BasinHaircut · 27/03/2017 06:50

I've asked my consultant to order me one of the new books, some nice stuff in there by the look of it.

So today is going to be second day back on plan but is also weigh day Shock. I'll be gutted if I've gained again but it will be well deserved. I'm not staying to group tonight I've decided, it's just too boring at the moment.

Had a terrible night's sleep as DS has a cough and so kept us all awake. He is sleeping now so took the opportunity to get up and have a coffee in peace before the day starts. Might do myself some porridge now for breakfast which will be HEXA&B. Coffee was 2 syns for sugar.

Have a good day all and good luck to those weighing in.

ClashCityRocker · 27/03/2017 07:34

Poor DS basin, it's miserable when they're too ill to get a decent rest.

I do think the structure of group could do with a rejig as it does get a bit tedious. 'Sharon, well done you've lost of a pound. What are you doing this week?' 'Eating speed' 'Hayley, you've gained a pound, what are you doing this week?' 'Eat more speed'.

One week she didn't do it and we just had s general discussion with things we struggle with and it was much more useful.

I'm sticking at group though, have promised myself I can just wi when I get to target...ultimate motivation!

ALemonyPea · 27/03/2017 09:24

Your poor DS Basin, hope he has a better sleep tonight.

Lovely sunny day here today, something about the nice weather makes me feel perkier, wish I could go for a long walk somewhere.

BasinHaircut · 27/03/2017 11:11

Cheers guys. He isn't really poorly, just a cold but he has asthma so it sets it off and we all suffer Grin

clash yes I had said that I would stay to group till target but there are so few of us there at the moment that it's so dry it's really not a good use of my time. I might use the time to walk there and back now the clocks have changed instead. Followed by a short weights session when I get home. Getting a bit of exercise makes more sense right now.

BasinHaircut · 27/03/2017 11:12

lemony how long have you got to take it easy for? I guess at least 12 weeks?

ALemonyPea · 27/03/2017 11:18

I'm nearly 6 weeks post op, so getting better each week. Another 4 weeks before I can do anything strenuous, but was out most of the day yesterday and I'm exhausted today. Didn't do a lot of walking, but more than I should have, and played mini golf. It was a good day though.

Morning everyone. The salmon pesto looks delicious, Basin, will give that a go this week. Have bought the Veggie Deluxe book in class today so any recommendations from it would be gratefully received. Going to try the Scan Bran onion bhaji recipe but won't be mentioning the Scan Bran element to DS2!
Well done to everyone who has lost or has just kept on going. Sometimes the non-loss weeks are the toughest. I've lost another 2lbs. Tried on a few clothes this weekend that haven't seen daylight for a couple of years at least and I'm nearly there with a couple of items.

alibongo5 · 27/03/2017 12:00

Well done to all of you managing to enjoy Mother’s Day and stay on plan(ish). And well done to Basin for getting back on it – hope your son is well again soon.

And glad to hear that you’re getting there Lemony - and that you had such a nice day yesterday, have a restful day today.

I may be getting a little obsessed with getting to target at WI tomorrow. I even dreamt about it last night – I dreamt that for some reason I realised I wasn’t told at WI what my weight was so I had to sit waiting in group for her to get to me to find out. And I woke up before she did.

I suspect I’m not going to manage it. At least that’s what my home scales are telling me. No matter how many times I weigh myself ……which is often, as I said, I think I am obsessed!

ALemonyPea · 27/03/2017 13:05

Step away from the scales Ali! Should follow my own advice really. Need to get DH to hide them again I think.

BasinHaircut · 27/03/2017 13:09

Over the halfway mark to recovery then hopefully lemony.

Thanks ali, good luck for tonight.

Well done late

Lunch of chick pea and sweet potato curry and rice. Will follow with an apple.

I know lemony I know.

Groovee · 27/03/2017 13:59

Oh @BasinHaircut that curry looks good x

TheImprobableGirl · 27/03/2017 14:25

I'm eating like the hungry caterpillar here! I even munched through one nice green leaf at the end through guilt Grin

Had a dodgy tummy this morning, which is annoying (even though am secretly a bit pleased as weigh in is at 5pm) I can't seem to stomach any speed bar satsumas!

Hopefully you will get to target ali how many lbs do you need?

Welcome back basin puts stick back in the cupboard in going to start putting my days plan on here again too- I like seeing other people's and it forces me to actually think about meals before I get hungry!

Hoping for 1-2lb off at weigh in since I put on 2.5lb last week Hmm

TheImprobableGirl · 27/03/2017 14:30

Well that was a good start... I forgot my plan!
B- bacon, skinny sausage and egg on HEB wholemeal roll
S- mango, cup of tea
L- chicken, satsumas, veg sticks and pack of mccoys crisps (7syns)
S- more tea, babybel x 2
D- beef noodle stirfry with Thai curry paste (1syn)

Groovee · 27/03/2017 14:42

Good luck @TheImprobableGirl.

I made giant cous cous at lunch time. I need to remember to read cooking instructions 🙈
