Hi all

I'm still plodding along. I somehow lost 3lbs last week so 11.5lbs overall. I keep losing and gaining the same 2 lbs tho. And this week I'm utterly skint so having more evil white bread toast than I should

VilootShesCute · 25/03/2017 18:13

may, I'm on it Grin

noodlezoodle · 25/03/2017 19:03

Half a pound off this morning. It sounds rubbish but I'm pleased, because having lost 2lbs last week, I weighed myself a few times in the week and at one point had put 2.5 lbs back ON! So I was expecting a gain today or even a STS and am thrilled that it's even a little bit off. Onwards and upwards!

OwlinaTree · 25/03/2017 19:03

Enjoy it giveover! If you are in a situation where you have to have it then own it and enjoy it!

Went to Thomas land today. No healthy options for food at all! Ended up with cheeseburger and chips, which was quite nice actually. Burger king version is 15 syns for burger and 7.5 for chips, so not too bad as it goes. Not what I planned but hey. I've had a nice lunch out twice this week too as my dh has been on holiday from work so we had a family lunch one day and me and him went out another. Will be pleased with a sts on the scales on Tuesday!

ALemonyPea · 25/03/2017 20:57

May, I'd love to learn from DH but he can eat what the hell he likes and not put weight on. I hate him. I only have to look at ancake and out 3 stone on.

Speaking of sake, I think my Mam is out to sabotage me. Went to give her her Mother's Day present today, and she had made cheese and marmite scones and a ginger and rhubarb cake. I had half a scone with a smidge of butter, and a taste of the cake. I could easily have eaten three slices of cake. It was so moist and delicious. Glad I didn't though, I'm in charge today.

I've finally found a SW food I like, the mushroom soup is quite nice. I topped mine with. HEA blue Stilton today, quite delicious.

Viloot, don't beat yourself up, you can just reduce your syns for the next few days spot even them out, and up your speed. You can do it, don't fret.

Coke Zero chicken was surprisingly nice.

Giveover, just make it a flexible syn day.

Hello all. I am new to the SW support threads although I have been SW off-and-on for about a year. I was doing really well with it when Christmas and staying a new job with lots of overseas travel totally derailed me so now I need to start again, pretty much from scratch. But I AM DETERMINED! Kicked off with an SP day today and tomorrow I won't expect that given it's Mother's Day but I will try to stay in control. Thanks for having me!

gooseygander88 · 25/03/2017 22:09

Evening all 😊 haven't had chance to check in for a while been away etc and consumed too many syns to say the least 😥 however after my 'very bad days' I've had extremely good & lots of speed days which still result with a loss - RESULT!! So week7 on 12lbs only1 stone 2 to go! 2lb off my pre birth weight too! Had my cheeky Saturday treat today and now extra good for the rest of the week:)!!
Vioolt you can make the days up for a bad day just be extra good 😁😁😁

OwlinaTree · 25/03/2017 22:30

Looks good groovee. I tried the cherry coke one in the magazine, was tasty.

maygirl · 25/03/2017 22:31

My DH is the same Lemony, massive portions, never gains weight , but he definitely stops when he's full, even if just a tiny bit left, whereas I was brought up with the attitude " well there's not enough left there to keep, you may as well finish it off"! DH doesn't really snack, and will turn up to a meal properly hungry, whilst I never really let myself get too hungry, but eat a full meal anyway. He never binges or turns to food when stressed, doesn't really think about food much at all between meals, whereas I'm always thinking about it I think! He is supportive and tries to understand , and I'm grateful that apart from wine he doesn't buy food for himself that would tempt me, and is happy to eat SW meals.

Hi Custard!

FizzySmile · 25/03/2017 23:41

Oops, meant to post much earlier! Pleased with my 2 lbs off this morning, bringing my total loss in 6 weeks to 18 1/2 lbs. Happy happy, so far, but long way to go yet!

Allowed myself to enjoy the afternoon tea I treated my Mum to today. Felt guilty for the first 5 mins, then reassured myself I have 6 days in which to undo the damage!

Would really love a minimum 2 1/2 lb loss next Saturday, to round my total to an even 1 1/2 stone. Even more would be fabulous but I'm realistic. So will try to stick to fruit, veg & protein for the next 6 days and hope for the best.

Well done to all the other losers this week! Onwards and downwards......

BasinHaircut · 26/03/2017 09:10

Morning all. Back in the game today and I MEAN IT THIS TIME I PROMISE!

Just about to get up and have weetabix and a cuppa and got brought in bed! Result!

harverina · 26/03/2017 09:54

Hello!

Haven't been on much this week as have been really busy.

Have had a mixed week - too much on that has involved eating. Wednesday we went to a show in Edinburgh and had a wagamamas and lots of sweeties 😩

Friday I had a Chinese - chicken chow mein.

And today dh has booked TGI Fridays for Mother's Day 😳 dd1 has allergies and they are great for allergies, so that's why he has chosen there.

Does anyone have any ideas on syn values for there??? Can't find any on the app at all which is annoying!!

Alfieisnoisy · 26/03/2017 10:01

I've lost 1st 10.5lbs so far and feel great.

However hubby has booked a restaurant for me today and he and DS are taking me out. He NEVER does this so I am bloody overjoyed. It's ASK Italian and SW don't have Syn values on their website so am just going to go and enjoy it but be back on plan straight after.

ClashCityRocker · 26/03/2017 10:18

Sometimes you've just got to accept going off plan. If it's not a special occasion meal I'll do my best and pick the healthiest option.

If I can't make a reasonable guess at Syn value, I'll look at calories - most places have calorie information online.

Also, if it's something like pizza express where all the pizzas are a million syns but some are only 600 calories I will stick do that instead.

But like a say if it's a special occasion meal, I'll just think Fuck it, and get back on plan after.

Groovee · 26/03/2017 10:46

Ladies, just have what you fancy. Flexi syns are there for a reason. Enjoy Mother's Day.

My kids got me a journal to plot my journey and a wee plaque with my weight loss to be added.

Alfieisnoisy · 26/03/2017 15:50

I had prawns...garlic prawns...gorgeous.
Spaghetti al pomodero so very good choice
Then had....wait for it...

Honeycomb cheesecake...it was bloody gorgeous. Oh and two glasses of Prosecco. Feel very spoilt.

Am now right back on plan. Might have something light for later.

Right back on it tomorrow and don't weight until Friday so may still achieve a loss.

BasinHaircut · 26/03/2017 17:00

So far today I'm still on plan!

B - weetabix and milk (HEXA&B)
L - mayflower curry sauce (4 syns), small bit of leftover lamb, cauliflower, rice (1 syn)
Just having a coffee with 2 sugars (2 syns)

Dinner will be smoked salmon and courgette with pesto and quark, spaghetti and a third speed as yet undecided.

Feels good to be back on plan but be warned, I am going to use this thread as a food diary for the next week or so whilst I et my head back in the game.

ALemonyPea · 26/03/2017 17:21

Welcome Custard. Hope you manage to get your head back in the game.

Looks lovely Groovee. I'm too scared to try diet Coke chicken, but loads of people in my group say it's nice.

Harv, I'd just get steak and veg from TGI, but really I'd be wanting huge burger and ribs.

Mother's Day is all about you, so for those going out today or been out, it's just one meal. And you sometimes you just need to enjoy it and forget about the syns.

Whoop whoop for being back on plan Basin.

My DC bought me my favourite chocolates, 4 syns each, but have had to put them out of reach of myself otherwise I'd eat the whole box.

Thanks lemony

Have had a really lovely day too, went IKEA, and spent the afternoon in the garden cutting grass and pruning and jetwashing etc. I'm feeling energised and might get the weights out in a minute. I LOVE it when it's light in the evenings, makes me happy Smile

Groovee · 26/03/2017 17:35

@ALemonyPea I'll be honest, I had a minor panic during cooking. I'd read to cook for longer and it really was lovely. Thinking of trying it with Fanta Zero or sugar free tango.

Just made surf and turf. DH says, "how many syns?" And sat there open mouthed when I said it's all free. It had to be as I used 13 syns on cake at my mums haha!

We had an impromptu trip out today, so popped into Tesco and got some goodies, 8 syns worth for me, all good.

PositiveAttitude · 26/03/2017 18:19

It sounds like you are all having a good mothers day. I have been totally spoilt. DD1, her boyfriend and DS cooked a wonderful meal which was on plan, but DS (trained as a patisserie chef) was in charge of desserts........lets just say it was bloody amazing and my stomach is telling me that I have had at least a month's supply of syns! Shock I have a portion left for me to have after weigh in on Tuesday. Blush I had been hoping for a good loss this week, but expectations now have been lowered somewhat! It's so lovely to have DS back home after his world travels, but I really need to be so strong when he "practices" at home. That is a huge reason as to why I got so huge in the first place. I always wanted to encourage him in his passion for cooking as he obviously has a talent for it and has done really well in previous jobs. Now he is looking for work again, maybe local, or maybe anywhere in the world. So proud of him. Anyway, that went slightly off at a tangent! Blush

Have a good day everyone.

ALemonyPea · 26/03/2017 18:37

I'd happily take that cake off you PA, save you the calories.
