@alibongo5 Thursday is definitely the start of the weekend. In fact any day not working is the weekend in my house. Grin

Groovee · 24/03/2017 15:41

I just found a photo from 9 months ago Shock. Got Ds to take an update one! Wow the difference.

ALemonyPea · 24/03/2017 16:23

As much as I love Mother's Day, there's a little piece of me that dies inside when your DC come out of school with some baked goods they made in class. No idea how many kids have touched them, then you're forced to eat it and smile while you're doing it. Just had to eat a choc chip cookie to appease DS3. Ill say 5 syns, free if I manage to catch food poisoning from it. Him and his brothers are eating the rest and apparently im the most kindest Mam for letting them eat my cookies.

In other news, I have bought a size 10 top and leggings today. They're obviously a big size 10, the size 14 swamped me.

Em, have everything crossed you have a Christmas baby. Enjoy TTC.

I only have one photo from when I was assive, which is actually a stoning lighter than when I started SW. I was grotesque and never want to go back there. I have a side by side comparison from then and now, and it's amazing. I have a neck and collarbones, rather than looking like a thumb. Wish I could share it with you all. But too embarrassed to have it on here for all to see.

Saw my GP today who has agreed that I should go back on metformin to control the insulin resistance with my PCOS. Not looking forward to the next 4 weeks of taking them as they play havoc with my stomach, but all worth it if it'll help towards my weight loss. Might even change my target again to what it was, will see how it goes.

Good luck on the Meds Lemony.

At brownies I made the choc crispies and the girls only decorated the top!

noodlezoodle · 24/03/2017 18:22

ali, Thursday is known as pre-Friday in our house, seems totally reasonable to me!

Had a good on-plan week this week so I should be feeling optimistic for tomorrow's weigh in, but I'm not because I think last week's 2lb off was a bit of a fluke.

This week I've cooked two Pinch of Nom recipes and I won't be making them again. The crispy chilli beef - the beef itself was good but the sauce not great, and neither were worth all the faffing about. Then last night was chilli pasta bake which was nice but again a lot of a faff. Thing I'd rather make a massive batch of Jamie Oliver chilli which is crammed full of veg and freeze some, rather than try and make some from scratch on a weeknight that is not nearly as nice...

OrianaBanana · 24/03/2017 18:30

Em I got pregnant the 2nd cycle after my miscarriage. And it was a Christmas baby... Wink

Emmageddon · 24/03/2017 19:15

Tried making the spinach and chickpea curry. Oof! Most unpleasant. DH liked it though!

Got some beautiful roses from my daughter and daughter-in-law for mother's day - a non-edible treat!! would have preferred chocolates

OwlinaTree · 24/03/2017 19:38

Shame you didn't enjoy it emma. At least your dh can finish it off.

willpoweriskey · 24/03/2017 19:53

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining in here, I've been lurking for a few weeks now and have been so motivated by all your success and challenges so far! I started slimming world (again!) about 11 weeks ago now and have lost 18.5lb so far which I am delighted with! Most weeks I could absolutely have tried harder but to be honest I'm happy with a loss of even half a pound in a week so long as it's going the right direction! Would really like to lose another 2 stone. Anyway it's the weekend so obviously I feel like I have the right to eat all round me WineCake and am well over syns today and fighting with myself not eat any more tonignt, which is what prompted me to finally write a good long post full of waffling on Grin

Groovee · 24/03/2017 19:58

Welcome @willpoweriskey

Made Mongolian Beef tonight which I made without chilli and it was fine this time.

Making some oaty biscuits again with mini marshmallows but no clue how to syn.

alibongo5 · 24/03/2017 20:22

Oh good to hear that Thursday is part of the weekend in your eyes too!

Actually, I think it's probably things like that that my consultant dislikes, I remember a guy in our class saying that he only drank at the weekend - and added that a weekend is obviously three days. I agreed and said that Thursday was of course the weekend too, making 4 nights in total.

Our consultant doesn't drink....

ALemonyPea · 24/03/2017 21:08

She sounds like she's in need of a stiff one Ali (ooo er)

I'm not a big drinker, only really drink sociably, but do like fancy cocktails and some vino el plonko so full of syns, and as I don't drink often, I don't care. Vodka and Diet Coke is ok, but the hangovers the next day are horrific, and can't really get a dirty McDonalds can I.

LavenderRains · 24/03/2017 21:12

ali your consultant would hate our group!
We have a man that goes, he's already lost 2 stone but refuses to give up his Friday night pizza and aleGrin good on him I say! & another lady reckons the reason she put 1lb on is because it was Friday night and she ate too many flumps😂
The consultant laughs and agrees we all still need to live!!
On a more serious note, DD has left me alone in the house in full view of a box of 12 creme eggs that someone gave her. It's taken all my willpower not to steal 1 six
I think she's done it to test meGrin

BasinHaircut · 24/03/2017 21:23

Oh god I've rounded off a terribly off plan day with a chinese takeaway.

I need to get a bloody grip.

ALemonyPea · 24/03/2017 22:07

12 is such an uneven number Lavender 😁

Come on now Basin. Don't blow it like last year, you can and will do it.

Cheer so lemony, I'm so cross with myself. I am definitely a binge eater and need to try harder to keep myself in check. I'm alright when I'm 'on it' but once I've gone I'm gone.

I feel like utter crap and completely sick this morning. Just sitting here sorting out the meal plan for next week. I really don't want a gain on Monday. Today I'm doing a roast and I've made brownies to have with ice cream for dessert, but small portions for me and no picking outside of meals today. As of right now I'm writing everything down again and 100% having an on plan week from tomorrow.

BasinHaircut · 25/03/2017 07:30

P.s. I'm cancelling my birthday next year Grin

ALemonyPea · 25/03/2017 08:03

I can totally relate to the binge eating. I was trying describe how binge eating makes me feel, but he doesn't understand because he only eats when he is hungry and is naturally slim twat

FaithAgain · 25/03/2017 10:21

Basin I get it too. Brain over binge is a fantastic book to challenge binge eating behaviour, it really helped me.

LavenderRains · 25/03/2017 10:50

I'm the same! Bingeing is what got me here in the first place. It's like walking a very fine line at the moment!

Groovee · 25/03/2017 14:24

At an all day bowling event with Ds. Made egg breakfast muffins this morning. Brought lots of fruit and the cafe made me a ham salad.

Going to walk to Tesco next and buy stuff for Diet Coke Chicken.

VilootShesCute · 25/03/2017 14:49

It's my second week, and Iam bricking it. I lost 8 and a half lbs last week. I have no idea how. I'm putting it down to not wearing my boots at weigh in. This week I had one night where 60 (I know, it's bloody terrible) syns were consumed as went out to see Ricky Gervais and had a meal beforehand. I thought I hadn't gone too far but whoa, I was stupidly wrong. I am so not losing anything on Tuesday Sad On the plus side I have discovered hifi bars. Amazing.

maygirl · 25/03/2017 15:14

My DH is the same Lemony . I'm trying to learn from him, we have such different approaches to eating.

Out tonight for Mother's day curry, tomorrow will be a lazy day at home trying to cope with the clocks going forwards. I hate losing the hour's sleep!

B 'bakewell tart' flavour baked oats heB.
Banana at gym, 2 hr session which has ruined me!
L chicken stirfry in oyster sauce with noodles
1 syn seaweed crackers, not sure about them!
HeA half milk, half cheese
D south Asian curry, will ask for low fat options. Syns on wine.

Book looks good Faith

maygirl · 25/03/2017 15:21

You might be OK viloot, have some lower syn days and 30-50% of plate speed food over the next few days :) Great weight loss!

giveovermypreciousss · 25/03/2017 17:16

I have a sit down meal tonight with anset menu. I am unsure what the main course is other than chicken but the starter and dessert are both nearly 15 syns each! Also there will be cocktails etc. Im thinking it will be a miserable night tonight. Hmm
