Oh no where is he ok?

I may have slipped up and bought pastries on the way into work this morning Confused

It's such a bad old habit but I drew a line and cracked on on plan for the rest of today. Just waiting for DH to finish putting DS to bed then it's Mongolian beef (chubby Cubs) with carrots and noodles and I can't wait I'm STARVING!!

Groovee · 23/03/2017 19:35

Hope your DS is ok Where.

I'm feeling poorly. Sore throats all day. Had Risotto for tea but struggled to swallow 😢

giveovermypreciousss · 23/03/2017 19:43

Tonight dh (chef) is making the sw chicken tikka masala for all if us. I bought everything and he just read the recipe and it says it has to be marinated! Blush
He is just going to make it anyway otherwise I will have to eat another sodding jacket potato! Grin
I don't see how I can lose weight with sw as it feels like I am eating more than when I was using mfp and plateauing . But then again I haven't had any treats and I have eaten tons of salad. Confused

emwithme · 23/03/2017 20:44

Hope your DS is OK Where

I maintained this morning which is excellent bearing in mind I was SO off plan until Monday morning (and at the weekend my scales were showing an extra 3 lbs on). I am taking it one day at a time at the moment, both in terms of SW and also life generally. Did want to cry at group today as one of the other members announced that she's pregnant (due about 10 days before I would've been) but I held it together thanks to a sly hand-squeeze from another social team member who knew what was going on.

Today is my fourth day on plan. Hopefully tomorrow will be my fifth. This was today

B: Eggy muffins
L: Leek & potato soup
D: Jacket spud, leftover bolognaise
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars
Snack: Ham, cheese, 2 x water biscuits (before college)

[Off topic bit: Positive I've decided to do three optionals - credit control and the two tax modules. It covers everything I need for my job now and also what I want to do going forward etc]

ALemonyPea · 23/03/2017 20:47

Must have xposted with you, Where. Hope your DS is ok. You're allowed to eat what the hell you like at times like that.

Well done on the maintain Em. Sorry you were upset at group.

ClashCityRocker · 23/03/2017 21:04

Well, I have defied the laws of physics and actually lost a pound after The Worst Week of Food ever....

Suspect it will catch up next week so have a week of being totally on plan in place to try and beat it!

Felt a bit of a cheat though as there were quite a few people feeling quite despondent at group tonight...i almost felt sorry for the consultant!

Until she said to one poor lass who has been struggling to finish her dissertation that she needs to prioritise sw more Hmm I was impressed she even got to group!

Groovester · 23/03/2017 22:10

Quick post for me tonight. I maintained for first time ever. Think I'm pre-menstrual and retaining water though. Meh. Eaten lots of sweet treats but back on it in the morning. STILL a pound to go to hit my 4 stone award. Double meh.

whereareyousleep · 23/03/2017 22:28

He's ok thanks. Was very scary his temperature was 41 degrees he was being sick and he was hallucinating that there were snakes on the walls his heart was beating that fast I thought it was going to a stop called an ambulance in a complete panic and they were brilliant were there within minutes.

@Em just wanted to say I'm sorry you were upset today at group and to not to be too hard on yourself

OuiMerci · 23/03/2017 22:42

Hello,

Mind if I join you? I've had two weigh-ins so far and have lost 5.5lb. Total of 3 stone to lose so going in the right direction!

I tried the BBQ pulled pork in the slow cooker today and it was lovely, even if the sauce was a bit runny.

My Joe's sausages order came today so looking forward to trying those out tomorrow!

FaithAgain · 24/03/2017 08:02

Welcome OuiMerci, that's a great start! One tip from my group this week was to put a tea towel over your slow cooker while it cooks as you loss less steam so it makes the sauce thicker (not tried it myself!).

Em given everything you've gone through, a maintain isn't fantastic. Still thinking of you Flowers Brew Cake

I felt very disciplined last night. I always fancy something sweet after a meal but I'd had my syns in the day..so I had a peppermint tea! It hit the sweet spot enough then I brushed my teeth so I wasn't tempted to eat anything else. 😇

BasinHaircut · 24/03/2017 08:16

Oh em Flowers so sorry was probably a bit insensitive of me to say yesterday that we were going to TTC, I hope that didn't upset you too, I didn't think.

Well done all losers and maintainers yesterday.

I get a bit jealous when you all talk about tips and stuff at group. Our group just seems to talk about whether someone has been 'good' or not and no one ever goes into detail or really shares what they have eaten a side from confessing to cake and takeaways etc.

Emmageddon · 24/03/2017 08:42

Our group is pretty dull (apart from the time the daughter, mum and grandma all screamed at the consultant that the scales were wrong). There are 3 old ladies who never seem to change weight - half a pound on, 1lb off, maintain, rinse and repeat for the last 12 weeks, but they enjoy it. There's a few people at target (one lady lost 7 stone from April 2016) and the rest are like me, slowly plodding along, losing a bit most weeks.

The consultant is enthusiastic but the relentless plugging of SW products is boring.

The Facebook page is good though, lots of recipes shared.

emwithme · 24/03/2017 09:08

Basin stoppit! I hope you have a beautifully smooth TTC journey and pregnancy. I think it was just the realisation that every week I'm going to see someone who is almost exactly as pregnant as I should be, but I'm not. However, we are going to get back onto the TTC bus as soon as we can (just waiting for a period, if I'm being honest) (and here's the TMI alert, I'm sure I ovulated overnight, which is an excellent sign for everything getting back on track)

We've just had a new consultant - our old one has had to step back for family reasons (her elderly dad needs more care) so she's moved to take over a Saturday group, so our midweek group has a new lady. Everyone is moaning because "things are different" (they aren't, they just aren't the same, they're still the same SW way just with a different person at the front) but I think it's going to be OK, once she's worked out who stays to group and who weighs and goes - it's a bit like calling the register at school at the moment!

I'm hoping today will be Day 5 On Plan:

B: Eggy muffins
L: Butternut squash soup shit I didn't get it out of the freezer last night, apple, pear, satsuma
D: Leftover bolognaise (the last of it). I am being good. DH is having pizza.

HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

ALemonyPea · 24/03/2017 09:43

My consultant is lovely, but I do think she should tell us what she is aiming at during sessions. There have been loads of times she has asked target members, or those of us who have had a good loss questions like what keeps us motivated or our top tips, and after we answer she will usually say "That's not what I was getting at" or "I wouldn't do as Lemony suggested". What he hell did you want to hear then?

I've had a sneaky WI, and only gained 1lb from my Tuesday binge, so hopefully come Tuesday I'll have stayed the same.

Gong to make the Chinese pulled pork tomorrow that's in the new mag. Quite excited, love pulled pork mmmm

Flowers Em xx

Ended up having butternut squash chips in the actifry with my fish last night, v nice :)

Today
B BLT with vlf mayo 0.5 syn + heB bread
L tuna and sweet corn salad
D lamb steaks, ratatouille in slow cooker already. Probably with pasta and HeA cheese, DS is at rugby all afternoon and will need filling up with carbs lol!
Weekends are usually where I mess up by having too much Wine
Going to try and be strong!

BasinHaircut · 24/03/2017 10:59

I had pastries again Shock

Definitely the last ones though, no excuses next work week!

Got leftover dinner that I know is on plan for lunch and fruit for this afternoon.

Dinner will be salmon and pesto pasta with chargrilled peppers and salad. Can't wait for that.

Thanks em, hoping the best for you too x

LavenderRains · 24/03/2017 11:29

Well done loses. Flowers groovester you will get that pound off eventually, come on I can't lose my twin!!
I weighed in Wednesday and have already eaten out twice since then, and DD wants to take me out for dinner tomorrow for mothers day.
In between times I'm trying to stay on plan.
Today
B; poached eggs on toast (hexB)
D; melon, orange and yogurt
T chicken, courgette and mushroom with rice (my old staple!)
Best try not to have any syns on account of the bloody great chocolate brownie I had yesterday Blush

Groovester · 24/03/2017 11:53

lavender thanks for the support. I'm not too disappointed as I have been on plan. It may be water retention or a catch up from being naughty last week! I am desperate for that 1lb to go though!

Shamoffour · 24/03/2017 11:53

Em I really hope this isn't insensitive to say this, and I'm only saying it as you said you are jumping straight back on the bus. I've had 3 mcs and after two of them I feel pregnant straight away (before period even came) if you feel up to it crack on. By the way both pregnancies stuck and are 6 and 3 now.

Shamoffour · 24/03/2017 11:54

Gah now feel like I shouldn't have said that. I hope I haven't upset you.

emwithme · 24/03/2017 12:53

Sham that's not insensitive at all. We're just waiting for the period so it's easier to date things going forward (and to give my body a teeny tiny breather) and nothing to do with me not wanting a Christmas baby, oh no

I have fallen off the wagon because one of the lads at work has just bought me a Krispy Kreme Lotus Biscoff doughnut. I bloody luffs them (it was delicious)

I will get back on the wagon once I've finished chewing.

Shamoffour · 24/03/2017 13:16

Phew good! Your way does make more sense and I must admit we weren't actively trying when in happened just fancied a shag!

Having a good day today to make up for a couple of iffy days. I would really like a loss this week but I'm not expecting loads after such a big loss last week.

BasinHaircut · 24/03/2017 13:30

Now I've had a bag of crisps, 2jaffa cakes and a cookie Shock

Seems I'm in sabotage mode today.

Tomorrow I'm doing a roast with all the trimmings but as of Sunday I have no excuses. Maybe I won't get that gain off this week now but back to basics on Sunday, I'm going to write everything down and give myself a kick up the bum. Am totally realising what went wrong last year now.

alibongo5 · 24/03/2017 13:32

lemony - thanks - I really get the impression she doesn't like me as I'm too flippant and jokey and I don't take SW too seriously (in other words, I don't let it rule my life). I don't bow down to her superior knowledge or take my own gravy or salad when I eat out or ask for boring things off-menu but horror of horror enjoy myself and have a few beers or wine when I want to.

Re your eating over somedays - I think sometimes it's good to realise that you are probably still eating less than you would've done before you started SW - but I'm sure you know that as you have done so well up to now.

where - there is no way on earth that you could've kept to plan under those circumstances! Don't worry!

And oops! I just read a previous post of mine that said I wasn't going to have alcohol til the weekend. Does Thursday count as the weekend if I had the day off?
