ali I've just had a 2 week hiatus and gained 1.5lbs. So I've got 8.5lbs to the target I was thinking of (10st 10lbs).

This week I'm 'on plan' but know I could be doing better. I'm feeling like crap though - went to bed at 8:30 last night and still feel shattered. Think it's a combination of DS's early mornings, a busy couple of weeks and all of the rubbish I ate over the past week or so. I am also going to go and get my iron levels etc checked because we have decided to TTC DC2. That will really throw a spanner into the weight loss works Grin

I'd like to get that gain back off his week but from next week we are going to 'reset' and as upthread says go back to basics. Hopefully give us both (me and DH) a boost.

How about you?

LavenderRains · 22/03/2017 17:48

I lost 2lb this week so the dominoes and rocky road blip didn't do too much damageGrin

I decided to set my target at 13.7 so I have another stone to lose. To date have lost 4.2 stone so I need to focus on the last stretch!

Has anyone tried the limited edition peanut and caramel muller? I was looking forward to it but it's a bit meh

Lulooo · 22/03/2017 20:22

Basin, I've also had an embarrassing 2 weeks where I've been off plan most days and synned and synned. Gained a pound which puts me at 11stone and 2lbs. Really wanted to be at 10.5 stone by end of March but that's impossible now.

I haven't even had the courage to log on to this thread and have just read the last few messages.

I hope I can reel it in this week. Yes, I've already eaten too many syns on Monday and Tuesday but today was okay so hoping I can find my mojo again.

Lulooo · 22/03/2017 20:24

Becky that's a really helpful post. I'm going to copy it out into my journal. Thank you. Please do post more stuff like that.

BasinHaircut · 22/03/2017 20:31

luloo didn't we write spookily similar updates a few weeks back too? Freaky!

Well tonight's dinner plan of Mongolian beef went out the window as DH decided to eat lunch at 3pm so didn't want any dinner. I was so tempted to eat crap (because I feel crap) but instead have made myself a mushroom stroganoff (FYI quark really good in this!) and it is delicious. DH isn't crazy about mushrooms but I love them so it's a rare treat getting to eat this.

basin I've got 3lb to target and am so cross with myself/my consultant that I really want to do it this week!

But went out for a curry last night so didn't start the week well! But on the plus side, I offered to drive so didn't have any alcohol, and it was a buffet and I only went up once! So no drink until the weekend and keep my syns for then and see if I can do it.

And another plus - I wore a top at the weekend which I haven't worn for ages and could really tell that my muffin top was so much better - even my son said that I now have a waist!

Chickpea curry recipe for lemony.

ali that's amazing! I think we were the same amount away from target, now I'm further away and you are nearly there!Grin

Just think, in a couple of weeks you might not have to pay anymore or have to go every week! You can do this punches air

I'd like to get to target (or at least under 11st) if I'm going to get pregnant. When I had DS I went to the gym 4 times a week until 2 weeks before he was born, I was in great shape to start and kept it throughout. I'm terrified of what might happen now I'm older and have time for the gym approximately once a fortnight Blush.

OwlinaTree · 22/03/2017 21:12

I won the raffle last night and it was the ingredients to make cherry cola chicken as featured in the magazine. So dh made it tonight. It was very nice!

Well done losers and Hi there Sham!
The cherry cola chicken looks lovely Owlina! Looking forwards to trying some recipes from the new mag!

Becky does your mum wear more fitted styles of clothes than you? I think regular jeans start to look baggy much quicker than the stretchy ones younger women tend to wear. I was thinking a few days ago they need to bring back in the Levi 501s we all wore in the 90s, it was impossible to wear them if you gained more than a few pounds, so I kept my weight in check better. The jegging styles I wear now will easily fit within 10 pounds of weight variation Blush and didn't look loose when i weighed less. I think your weight loss so far is great. Perhaps take some measurements, or monitor with a more fitted item of clothing?

Hungry day today but stayed on plan and resisted having any when made the DC some pancakes.

ClashCityRocker · 23/03/2017 07:32

Wi today, let's see what the damage is... Have been very much on plan the last few days so but am expecting a gain. Just hoping it's not a big one!

BasinHaircut · 23/03/2017 08:02

Good luck clash!

Was meant to be on a training course today which meant I wasn't sure whether I'd be able to stick to plan, but it's been cancelled as it was in London and being run by the police and unsurprisingly anything non-critical has been cancelled.

PositiveAttitude · 23/03/2017 08:29

Thread hijack alert - Em I am doing the audit module and last night was bloody horrendous!! All words and no calculator. seriously thinking I might not do the exam now. I dont need to and I hate words!! Angry

alibongo5 · 23/03/2017 09:19

Aww thanks basin I am pretty determined this week - in fact I have started weighing myself every day which isn't a good thing, I think I could get a little obsessed. It won't last long mind - maybe a week!

When I last went to a meeting which provided lunch I still took my own SW lunch. But ended up eating my own and some of the delicious sandwiches they had - they were bloody gorgeous! Pulled pork and Coronation chicken and all sort of lovely things in sauces and things, not just plain old ham salad etc!

Emmageddon · 23/03/2017 09:37

@PositiveAttitude come on, you can do it!! Repeat your username over and over again. Flowers

I like the idea of going back to basics. I had a 2 week wobble, where I didn't keep a food diary and started to feel resentful of the restrictions of the SW plan. I'm back on track now, my current goal is to lose another 10lbs by, Easter which is achievable.

ALemonyPea · 23/03/2017 11:23

Ali, I can't believe your consultant is still being a bitch, especially with you being so close to target. She should be encouraging and supporting you.

Regarding target, once you get there you only need to go to group once every 8 weeks so that's not too bad, and you can always change groups.

I had a great day yesterday, back on the wagon and focused. I need to get a grip of a possible gain with me still recovering from my op. I will take a gain next week if I have one, it'll be deserved all the food I ate.

Does anyone else get like this? I'm an emotional eater, so once my trigger has been flipped, I just eat and eat and eat, even though I know I shouldn't. It makes me feel great for all of 5 minutes, then I go back for my next fix. I don't think there is a cure for it, or even I don't think I have the ability to change my mindset. I have however learnt to contain it to one day, whereas before SW it would just continue for weeks. That's a bonus right?

Ffs typed a big long post and lost it all.

It was boring anyway lol.

Lemony you definitely need to be kind to yourself. You won't realise how much the op has taken out of you until you are fully recovered. You can definitely get back on track. You have done it to the tune of 6st so you can definitely do it!

Todays plan

B. Coffee
L. Hm chicken and mushroom soup
T. Hunters chicken, baked potato and salad.

B choice will be either museli or hifi bars.

00100001 · 23/03/2017 12:31

Todays' plan is as follows:

breakfast: 1 x shredded wheat, 100ml Semi skimmed milk, 1x yogurt
lunch: Salad, mixed beans
dinner: omelette and salad
snacks: fruit, today I have a choice of plums, banana, watermelon, satsuma and apples.

Exercise: 2 x 25 minute bike ride (to and from work) and 1 x 20min swim!

Emmageddon · 23/03/2017 14:37

@ALemonyPea, any kind of surgery can be debilitating, and your emotional eating is almost certainly in relation to that. You'll get back on top of things in time.

I bought a pair of size 12 jeans off the pound rail in my local charity shop this morning. Of course I am nowhere near fitting into them yet, but I am going to hang them in my bedroom, where I can see them every day, as inspiration.

I'm not entertaining the thought that it may never happen - it will!!!

I started this journey a size 16 - 18, and am currently a size 14 - 16. Next stop 12 - 14 then maybe one day 10 - 12.

LavenderRains · 23/03/2017 15:22

lemony I totally get what you are saying! I would always lose half a stone, then go mad and eat everything in sight & that would be it, diet over!
I still do it now (binge) but limit it to one day then get back on track which is so so new for me!!
I never in a million years dreamt I could lose over 4 stone!
Yesterday I had lunch out with a friend. I had a great big chocolate brownie and could have eaten loads of junk when I got home but I had one chocolate biscuit and my trusty old pot of mangoSmile
I'm hoping I can continue behaving like this, as it's awfully tough sometimes!

Becky96 · 23/03/2017 15:27

Thank you all for your help! I've taken everyone's advice and will try each one out and see what one works best! I'm going out to Las Igunanas on Tuesday and was thinking of getting chicken breast fajitas, I know it's not great but I never go out, what do you all think?
(Also shameless self promo, I document what I eat everyday on my instagram becky96_sw)
Xx

whereareyousleep · 23/03/2017 15:58

So after Tuesday great loss. I ended up in hospital with my 3 year old ds all day yesterday so ended up totally off plan with white toast, a McDonald's, a mocha and cheese on toast when we got home last night. So feel like I've ruined it now but couldn't really be helped.

Not done that great today either had cheerios for breakfast. (Will have to syn) Jacket potato with cottage cheese then just had whole meal toast(hex b) with Nutella (syns) spag Bol for tea but will be shop bought sauce as DH cooking and he doesn't have a clue as I'm stuck with ds on my knee. Hopefully it won't ruin things too much. Confused

ALemonyPea · 23/03/2017 16:03

Great inspiration Emma. I started a size 20/22 (probably more 22, leggings and baggy tunics hide a multitude of sins) and spcurrently a 12/14. I have a pair of 12 jeggings that are quite snug, I want them to slip on without the need to wiggle. My to ach is still pretty bloated, hoping that will reduce down eventually.

Becky, have the fajitas without the tortilla, sour cream, cheese and guacamole, and it should be very low syns. Or same with the burrito, but have it naked. A bit boring, but saves you a multitude of syns.

OP posts:
maygirl · 23/03/2017 16:29

Lemony I think SW would say lose the guilt and think of it as a flexi syn day, and give yourself credit for getting back on track the next day and for how far you've come. Star
Today's food
B Banana pancake 4 syns. HeA milk in coffees.
Raw carrots
L chicken with loads of salad. Made a green goddess dressing by blending up mint and parsley with ff yogurt and quark,+1 tsp avocado oil - had half portion= 1 syn . ff yogurt.

Just having heB 14 cashews. Experimenting with adding some healthy fats into my diet.
D will be sea bass fillet, veg and maybe rice if v hungry.

Body pump session , not been for ages, it's gonna hurt!

Hope those weighing today had good loses!

maygirl · 23/03/2017 16:33

Sorry to hear about DS, hope he's OK Where
