Flowers so sorry em. Look after yourself x

muminthecity · 19/03/2017 21:11

Another SP day here today, and I'm actually feeling pretty full. I always expect to feel hungry when I don't have carbs!

B - strawberries and blackberries
L - bowl of bolognese packed with veg and topped with cheese (HEA)
D - lamb steak, roasted butternut squash, courgettes, onions, peppers and mushrooms and tomato relish (2)
S - mint hifi bar (HEB) and a packet of pufts (3.5)

ALemonyPea · 19/03/2017 22:00

Mum, you need 2 Bs on an SP day.

OP posts:
muminthecity · 19/03/2017 22:45

Thanks Lemony, I'd forgotten about that. Am too full to eat anything now and will be going to bed soon but will remember for next time!

BasinHaircut · 20/03/2017 08:07

Morning all. So today I find out the damage from my 2 week hiatus. Not till this evening though so it's going to be a loooong day.

em be kind to yourself, you know you can do it so just make sure you are OK.

Today's plan is
B - weetabix and milk
L - veg curry and rice
(Then weigh in)
D - gammon pasta Alfredo with salad.

OwlinaTree · 20/03/2017 09:04

Good luck basin!

emwithme · 20/03/2017 09:21

Good luck Basin

And you guys are right. I can do it. I have previously done it. I WILL do it again. I think I've got about half a stone to lose to get to where I want to be, so hopefully I'll be there by Easter in time to put it all on again I don't like paying for group any more!

So today is my first day back properly on plan:

B: Eggy muffins
L: Leek & potato soup, apple, pear, satsumas
D: Cajun chicken breast (1), rice, salad
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars
Snack: Graze box punnet (6)

harverina · 20/03/2017 11:37

Morning!

Being super strict today - had a bit of a blow out on Saturday with a KFC and a creamy Indian meal. I'm hoping I don't gain because of it because have done well all week aside for that.

Still have viral thing and now conjunctivitis so I'm feeling a bit the weather and sorry for myself!

latedecember1963 · 20/03/2017 12:28

Morning everyone, it's been 4 weeks since you welcomed me and this morning I got my half stone award. Before WI I'd resigned myself to another STS as we were out on Sat evening but I actually lost 1.5. Must have been the nervous energy expended in keeping my DM under control! It's given me a real boost although it's only the start of a very long road. Wishing you all a good week, hope your WI goes well, Basin.

OwlinaTree · 20/03/2017 12:43

I've decided I need to do something about my flabby middle so I've just bought a Hula hoop on line! I'm hoping I'll be able to fit in a bit of Hula hooping every day even with the kids around. Holiday booked for end of April so would be nice to see a bit of a difference by then.

TheImprobableGirl · 20/03/2017 12:55

I'm thinking of something middle-based owlina let us know how the hula hooping goes!

Had a horrendous weekend (starting Thursday and lasting till Sunday...) syn wise- hoping I can pull it back before my weigh in tonight and only have a 2lb gain- but it was Cheltenham week which is like Christmas in our world Smile

Good luck basin, mines at 5pm eek
Well done weekend losers

whereareyousleep · 20/03/2017 13:06

Good luck @basin

Will be good to know if that works @owlina can't remember the last time I even saw hula hoop.

Well done on the 1/2 stone award @late

Just had Heinz Vegetable soup for dinner as full of cold and couldn't be bothered. I thought it would be low syn as I know it's low calorie. It's 9 syns!!!! Just seems wrong what a waste could have had a cream egg. Will calorie counting for a few days until I feel better ruin things for me?

OwlinaTree · 20/03/2017 13:13

Soups always seem to come up high. There are some soups that can count as hexb, have a look in your book.

Sounds like you had a great weekend improbable! At least if you have gained you know why and it will soon come off. Life is for living, we need a balance!

FaithAgain · 20/03/2017 13:17

I make my own soups. I throw in whatever veg I have to hand, usually add tinned tomatoes and I use buillion (free) instead of stock. Boil for an hour and blend. I am contemplating a soup maker to speed things up.

whereareyousleep · 20/03/2017 14:31

Yeah I would normally as we have an allotment so normally have lots of veg going spare but just grabbed it as a quick option won't be doing that again!

ALemonyPea · 20/03/2017 16:13

I also have a flabby middle. My weight loss seems to have started at either end of my body and slowed down towards the centre. Attractive. Will have to wait a further 6 weeks though before I can exercise.

Day 5 SP, I had better have lost something tomorrow.

Does anyone know if taking lactolose will have an expffect on not losing weight, given that it's practically pure sugar. Not going to syn it as believe medicine shouldn't be synned.

OP posts:
OwlinaTree · 20/03/2017 17:36

Well if you take enough lactose it shouldn't be an issue! Grin

giveovermypreciousss · 20/03/2017 17:47

Hi I am joining SW tomorrow. I have been using mfp and lost 1st 5lbs but i am really struggling to shift any weight now so trying something new. I want to lose 2st more.
Can I ask what SP stands for? I keep seeing it and not sure what it means.

Tweetypie30 · 20/03/2017 18:04

Hi, can I join in? Started back officially on SW online last week. First WI today, 2lbs off. If I'm honest I would have liked more for my first week but a loss is a loss I guess. 9.5lbs to get back to my first mini goal.

Groovee · 20/03/2017 19:12

Welcome Giveover and Tweety.

SP is a speed and protein. So no free foods only speed and protein but 2 HEB and 1HEA. No yoghurt allowed though.

I had to work today as my jobshare couldn't. It was pretty shitty. But I haven't come home and stuffed my face like I would love to! But tired.

harverina · 20/03/2017 19:21

giveover I was also doing MFP until recently - I joined SW three weeks ago and have my third weigh in tomorrow. Week 1 I lost 2lbs and week 2 I lost 5.

I'm having to be careful with my portions as I have a tendency to see free food and think I can eat it all and still lose weight. Being on mfp really helped with my portion sizes so I want to try and remember that. I lost 1.5 stone on MFP too...if I lose 1lb tomorrow that will be at my 2 stone weight loss overall.

TheImprobableGirl · 20/03/2017 19:45

Gained 2.5 and celebrating with a Pizza Hut stuffed crust and a bottle of rose. Going to start afresh tomorrow 😁 Might give a couple of sp days a go!

ALemonyPea · 20/03/2017 19:54

Welcome newbies.

I like your style improbable.

I've done my back in, gah! Would normally reach for crisps to seethe pain, but WI tomorrow.

OP posts:
ALemonyPea · 20/03/2017 19:54

*ease the pain

ClashCityRocker · 20/03/2017 20:08

Well today has been very on plan. Not quite an sp day but not too far off.

Breakfast boiled eggs and fruit
Lunch Weetabix with hexa milk
Tea shepherds pie with bns mash, curly kale and parsnips.

I'm a convert from MFP too. My problem with MFP was I was still eating absolute shite, but cutting out meals etc so that the shite could fit my calories. SW suits me much better, although I do still have the odd day calorie counting.

For portion control, I use smaller plates and then make sure that a 'large' third of my plate is food. Speed goes on first, so if I overeat I'm going to be overreacting broccoli or something.

Ouch lemony that's the pits.
