frouby Flowers seems like shit weekend for health news😔

OwlinaTree · 18/03/2017 22:46

Sorry frouby.

noodlezoodle · 18/03/2017 23:12

Hello all, Flowers and as much Gin as required for everyone having such a rough time, thinking of you all.

2 pounds off for me this week which is very unexpected because I was travelling for work most of the week and eating out 3 times a day. I tried to be reasonably good but did have some wine most nights plus one extremely delicious but wildly off plan meal, so not sure how this happened.

I am doing a lot of yoga so maybe that helps, although I find it a bit depressing because the studio has an entirely mirrored wall at the front of class and I'm getting fed up of seeing my fat stomach and large arse as I sweat my way through class.

tiddledpink · 19/03/2017 05:29

Hi all; can I join you all here?

Need to write this down so I can't pretend; looking to start Slimming World again for the 4th!!! time today.
Did amazing 1st/2nd/3rd time but just kept stopping/reverting back to old habits and ending up bigger than I ever started.

Currently 19st 0lb and ideally I would love to get down to 12st 7lb.
6st 7lb to go; doing it all from home as I can't fit a group in around work. Realistically looking at doing 1 stone at a time; although every time the scales go down i'll be happy dancing Grin

FX that I can stick with it this time and we can all get to Target Cake (syn free of course)

BasinHaircut · 19/03/2017 07:52

Flowers lavender and frouby.

Right guy that's it! Back on plan as of riiiiiiight now. I have had cake for breakfast but I'm drawing my line now. Weigh in tomorrow and going on my scales I think I'm in for a 3lb gain over 2 weeks and I can live with that. Have had a great couple of weeks with lots of treats and I am so ready to start back on the SW plan again. Will aim to have that 3lbs back off by next week.

Just going to go and write the week's meal plan on the board and wait for the shopping to arrive.

Just been reading the thread and remembered I've got some of that mayflower curry to try. Might knock up a veg curry for lunch. Vegetables have been distinctly lacking over the past week!

ClashCityRocker · 19/03/2017 08:25

I'm in the same boat basin desperately need to get back on plan after a few days of extreme naughtiness.

Failed abysmally at making better choices whilst away - actually, food wise it wasn't so bad but I've probably used my Syns for the entire year on alcohol.

WI is on Thursday, it's going to be SP days from now until then I think. Am expecting a gain but hoping that as its been a quick blow out it'll come off quite easily. Going shopping today so just writing out my meal plan. Have also agreed with dh that there will be NO takeaways this month.

Flowers to all those struggling with health problems.

BasinHaircut · 19/03/2017 08:54

clash come on let's do this! And yes absolutely no takeaways here either.

This (my birthday) is where we failed last year. But we jut never got back into it after a week off plan. This time I don't feel like I've lost my mojo, I'm ready to pull it back. And, ahem, digestively I am ready to get back to fresh veg and low fat.

Frouby · 19/03/2017 09:54

Back on it this morning after a woe is me afternoon.

I had 1 bakewell slice, 2 fig rolls, 1 shortbread finger, 1 cheese, pickle and beetroot sandwich on wm bread, 1 small bag of crisps, and a bottle of wine. Sigh. Then an on plan tea of steak, veg and potatoes.

So it was bad but not horrendously bad I dont think.

Lavander Flowers missed your news last night. We will stay on plan and rant at the unfairness of it all together.

I really need to get my dsis some help. She is obviously really anxious about her health but also about everything else. Silly things that really don't need to be worried about. Am going to wait until we have sorted out these lumps then see if we can get some counselling for her and speak to her gp again re some anti anxiety meds. She was on them until they removed the thyroid but wanted her off them so they could see how she was doing on the thyroid meds alone. But she is struggling I think.

Anyway. Today will be a very light day. Having roast pork and all the trimmings for tea. So will have a few syns in the gravy and that's it. Will have some fruit if I need a snack before then.

And no more booze for the next few days until wi on Wednesday.

ALemonyPea · 19/03/2017 10:17

Well done Noodle, and welcome Tiddled.

Basin, 3lb on after 2 weeks off is great, I could easily put that on in one day, my body is crap for clinging to every last calorie.

Sticking to SP for the rest of the week, hoping that it has some effect on my weight loss, can't wait to get more active, can't do anything strenuous for another 6 weeks though. Not great.

BasinHaircut · 19/03/2017 10:48

lemony I'm well chuffed with 3lb but won't get the official verdict until tomorrow. Last week after my meal out it was 4lb up overnight but that seems to have levelled out.

Shopping has been and my fridge has so much veg in it it's unreal. Am going to have to make up some veg curries for the freezer this afternoon I think, otherwise it might not get used.

Groovester · 19/03/2017 11:52

Sorry for you frouby

Good luck for tomorrow Basin - I agree that 3lbs is nothing. Easy to spring back from.

Had some snacks plus extra toast last night so a low syn day here to claw it back.

B - Scrambled eggs, bacon and baby spinach.
L - Lentil soup.
D - Chubby Cubs slow cooker lasagna with broccoli and green beans.

Hex a - Parmesan in the lasagna
Hex b - Alpen light bars later on tonight.

LavenderRains · 19/03/2017 13:00

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. Dad has been through cancer and heart surgery and now has something else which has no cure. He will just detiorate. It's knocked him and us for six.

On a brighter note I enjoyed the takeaway pizzas yesterday. I had about 6 slices across the day and chocolate cake. Im at work today so back on it with loads of fruit. Just popped into a local m and s food shop in my lunch break and got some lovely fruit salads reduced to 30p!! Was so hard walking past the percy pigs thoGrin

Groovester · 19/03/2017 14:08

Really sorry to hear that Lavender - it doesn't seem fair after he's gone through so much already.
Glad you enjoyed the pizza. I must admit that it's bread/pizza that I miss the most doing SW.

Groovee · 19/03/2017 14:56

Wee NSV. Last week my colleagues reckoned they could fit in with me in my work trousers. So I went and tried on a 14. They fitted so well! I was wearing a 16 and an 18 last week!

That's brilliant Groovee - bet you're buzzing!

Samham · 19/03/2017 15:20

Hello can I join you? Started slimming world on Thursday. Have done it before and it worked whilst I was going. It's going to be a long journey for me- need to loose around 7 stone. Really worried about my health and need to do something about it. Great thread, have enjoyed following you all

Shamoffour · 19/03/2017 16:14

Frouby and LavFlowers life really is shit sometimes
Groovee I hope you did a little dance in the fitting room!
Welcome samhamSmile

I've had a crap weekend every child has been ill and dp has also had the bug. I am so over clearing up sick and poo. Fingers crossed we are over the worst of it. Kids are all bickering and generally being bile to each other so I'm hoping its a sign they are feeling better!
On the food front I've actually been pretty good, I've felt queasy so not ate much.

whereareyousleep · 19/03/2017 16:34

Well done to all the losers. Groovee that's brilliant could do with new work trousers myself but don't want to jinx myself.

Does anybody else suffer from osteoporosis? I'm getting increasingly worried that I'm not having enough calcium I know we have hex a and it's all been tested etc but should I be having an extra A or is there already enough with one a choice. I'm only 32 too so it's already early onset

Groovee · 19/03/2017 16:38

Thanks, I was jumping about with glee! Walked out with the biggest smile and the woman said "they fit then?"

Sham hugs

Welcome Ham x

ALemonyPea · 19/03/2017 16:49

Excellent NSV. I love fitting in to smaller clothes.

Hope the bug misses you Sham. We all had it a few weeks ago, wasn't fun.

I have a wedding to go to in September. Really want to buy a dress a size smaller to give me good incentive to stick to target once I get there. 13lb to go.

Em, hope you're doing ok, been thinking of you 💐

Frouby and Lavender Flowers

I am still here, thank you for all your kind wishes. No longer pregnant Sad (TMI bit: passed sac Wednesday, stopped feeling pregnant on Friday-ish, negative test this morning) but now we can start looking forward again.

I need to stop eating anything and everything though. It is SO hard to get back on track. I can't throw away everything I worked so hard for. I have made my breakfast muffins for the week today, and the next fortnight's soup for lunch (all in the freezer/fridge as appropriate) but then I ate loads of Indian snacks, and then half a packet of ginger nuts (because I could). There's not much "naughty" left in the house now so I should start being able to stick to plan more. We have meal planned for the week and shopped accordingly.

Groovee that is EXCELLENT. According to my "on this day" it was a year ago today that I fitted into a size 14 for the first time (I completely skipped 16s on the way back down Grin ) and now I'm comfortably well, I was before things happened a 12.

Welcome Sam

Groovee · 19/03/2017 18:56

Hugs Em. Great news that it was a year ago for you fitting in to a 14. Be gentle to yourself. Your head will get back in the game xx
