I bought scan bran last week and took it to work yesterday to have with laughing cow for lunch. Big mistake! It was pretty awful. It was like all bran mashed together and toasted. I will finish the packet but won't buy again unless I need to for a recipe.

I am trying not to eat "diet foods" and scan bran is a diet food for definite!

Today:
B: bacon, beans, egg, mushrooms
L: pasta n sauce with tomatoes and salad. I also made soup and had a wee sneaky bowl a wee while ago.
D: leek and potato soup to start then pork escalope, roast potatoes made with fry light, cabbage, carrots and green beans.
Supper: a muller light and a cup of tea.

Thank you

Things have moved and I feel much better. But had soup and yoghurt for lunch and it triggered my reflux 😢. Done a full day at work. Was knackered. Glad I now have 5 days off to recover.

Groovester · 16/03/2017 18:38

Quick pop in before I go to see if I've appeased the scale Gods or not this week after some silly choicesbut extra gym visits. I'm not too hopeful.

Much love to you em - to echo previous posters, be kind to yourself and eat anything you feel like. Sad for you both.

OwlinaTree · 16/03/2017 19:34

Sorry to hear your news em, that's totally shit. Thinking of you and your dh. Flowers

Ooh looks yummy Basin! I've found I can
Stay on plan for pretty much all my meals. It's the syn snacks I over-indulge on (sweet tooth).

FluffedIt · 16/03/2017 21:13

...I had KFC tonightShock I worked out though tomorrow is 205 days to target so I've decided at least 200 of them have to be on plan.

I'm struggling to keep the food shop within budget though, will have to sit and go through all the cheap meals!

Groovester · 16/03/2017 21:38

1.5lbs off for me tonight. Delighted. 1lb off 4 stone. Next week... Wink

OwlinaTree · 16/03/2017 22:18

Ooh groovester well done!Star we are neck and neck! Grin

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 17/03/2017 07:10

Em FlowersGin

I lost 3lbs and got slimmer of the week. Just need to keep it up.

BasinHaircut · 17/03/2017 07:13

groovester that's amazing. Fx for 1lb next week!

fluffed we are spending loads on food right now. But I'm trying to view it as an investment in my health same way as I would justify a gym membership etc.

FaithAgain · 17/03/2017 07:33

Basin yes, same here. DH loves overnight oats for breakfast so we get through loads of fruit! However I know it's far better than him going to McDonald's Hmm and probably cheaper in the long run, it's jut that the food bill seems a lot! But then he's not drinking which makes it cheaper...overall, expensive weekly (especially since I order online from Tesco) but saves money on the nip in trips to Co-op for extras so probably balances out.

Groovee · 17/03/2017 07:37

@emwithme much love 💞

Groovee · 17/03/2017 07:38

My friend makes overnight oats with frozen berries. I really wish we could get our freezer sorted. Got a new electrician coming to see the job as the first one is ignoring us

FaithAgain · 17/03/2017 07:48

Grovee we use frozen fruit. A while after I started SW we bought a new fridge/freezer because we needed so much fruit and veg space, along with meals I batch cooked!

BasinHaircut · 17/03/2017 07:54

faith yes we were probably spending the difference on takeaways so it probably balances out.

Also, DH and I have been having £150 less each spending money per month since the new year and I can honestly say I haven't noticed the difference. Which probably means that most of that was going on croissants for breakfasts and work lunches etc which are now coming out of the grocery budget. So overall we are probably spending less on food TBH.
