Thanks everyone Grin Now I think the hard bit of keeping the weight off begins!
I've not set a target, another stone would be nice tho.....

VilootShesCute · 15/03/2017 18:59

Thank you

CocosMummy · 15/03/2017 19:51

Hello all, hope you don't mind me joining in. I started doing slimming world on Monday so I'm still getting to grips with everything, though it does help that my Mum does it and swears by it!

BasinHaircut · 15/03/2017 22:10

Well done lavender!

Sorry I've not been keeping up this week.

Takeaway was consumed tonight Blush

Ive decided to just call it a week off and be done with it. We are getting back on it 100% on Sunday. There will almost certainly be a gain on Monday but hopefully it will be temporary and I can pull it back by the following week.

Most important thing is that we get back on it. Last year this is where we fell off and it all went to pot until this January again. Not happening this time. Got a holiday in May and want to be 11st or less by then. I was 11st 3lbs before my 'week off' so even with a gain that should be totally doable. Target is 10st 10lbs and it would be nice to be there by then but if not then I've got another holiday in June and I'll aim for target for then.

FaithAgain · 16/03/2017 06:57

Welcome Coco. Always good to have someone close on board too.

1lb off for me last. Keep chipping away slowly. Only 1st 1/2lb away from target now!

ALemonyPea · 16/03/2017 08:13

Welcome Coco. Definitely helps having a buddy IRL.

Basin, you're so close to target, you can easily get it before your holiday. Get pack on the wagon after your weekend. Positive thinking.

Does anyone know a relatively low syn peanut butter? I love thenstuff, but lowest I can find is 4.5 syns a tbsp, and I like at least three of those on one piece of toast Wink

basin I'm having a few days off inadvertently too apparently Blush

Off to Cheltenham today and tomorrow, dh has been in 'holiday mode' all week which has made healthy eating tricky. I'm going to try and make more sensible choices than I otherwise normally would and then straight back on it on Sunday.

Some great losses going on here though. Should be my wi tonight but have holiday booked, I'm actually going to miss group Shock

BasinHaircut · 16/03/2017 09:32

Cheers guys. I just thought no point fighting it, just get it all out of my system, ready to start afresh on Sunday. I'm all meal planned and I've got my shopping coming at 9am on Sunday so no excuses!

I'm not being bad all day every day, I'm just not on plan and it will 100% be a gain on Monday. I keep telling myself that's just life though, weight is never ever going to be static because we have times when it's easy to be 'good' but also times when life takes over and it's more about joining in and enjoying life.

lemony what about that powdered stuff that you have to reconstitute? P-something? I haven't had it so can't vouch for it but I think it's much lower in Syns. Probably tastes like arse though. Grin

Today I'm having a shopping day for some new clothes and makeup. My wardrobe is depressing. I'm having my hair cut later too. It's all about meeee today!

emwithme · 16/03/2017 10:27

Well done losers (not lovers like it wanted to auto-correct to!)

I am currently 90% gin and chocolate. We had a repeat scan on Tuesday which showed an empty sac Sad

Having another couple of days of "eating what the fuck I want" and then cracking back on with the plan probably on Sunday.

I did lose a lb this morning though. Just 1.5 lbs to get back into target range. Consultant has agreed that until the hospital confirm everything is Officially Over she won't take the marker off my account so I can take time getting back to target.

harverina · 16/03/2017 10:40

Em I am so so sorry to read this. Take care of yourself. Your diet isn't important right now. Have a few days off and then if you are feeling up to it after that, then get back into it.

harverina · 16/03/2017 10:42

Welcome coco!

FaithAgain · 16/03/2017 10:46

Oh Em I'm so sorry Flowers That's such sad news. You have all the gin and chocolate you need.

whereareyousleep · 16/03/2017 11:02

So sorry em take care of yourself Flowers

ClashCityRocker · 16/03/2017 11:06

FluffedIt · 16/03/2017 11:17

Hi, mind if I join in? I've got 3 stone to lose and as much as I can of it by October. I've been failing for last few months and fed up of struggling. Dh doesn't want to hear about it and I'm on m leave so no one to talk sw with!

ALemonyPea · 16/03/2017 11:42

Oh Em, I'm so sorry my love 💐Eat what the hell you like, whatever makes you feel better.

Shamoffour · 16/03/2017 12:28

Oh em I so sorry. Eat and drink whatever you need toFlowers

Frouby · 16/03/2017 12:45

Oh Em lovely. Be kind to yourself xxx So sad for you both.

Am not feeling the vibe at the moment. Can someone twat me around the head with a big stick please. Had wi yesterday and a 1/2 lb gain. I am stuck getting past 11st 8lbs.

I know that the problem is me and not the plan. I have lost over 2st doing sw 5 days a week and relaxing a little friday and Saturday. Now I am slimmer I know I need to be stricter. I know I need to up the speed and reduce the free foods and be stricter with syns especially over the weekend but am struggling to get back into it.

Todays plan

B. Coffee
L. Tuna salad
T. Mayflower chicken curry and rice with stirfry veg.

Hifi or museili for b choice.

LavenderRains · 16/03/2017 13:07

So sorry em Flowers be kind to yourself

ALemonyPea · 16/03/2017 13:07

Frouby, it's an awful slog the less you have to lose. I've lost 6 stone 1lb so far, and only 5lb has been this year. Sooooooo slow. I need to kick it up, but I've no idea how to get it going.

I have PCOS, part of it is insulin resistance, so every last carb clings to me, and I think more SP days are the way to go for me. I can do it, but in my head it doesn't seem to be a lifetime eating habit for me. I mean, I do t want to give up potatoes and pasta for ever. I have already given up bread.

OP posts:
Frouby · 16/03/2017 14:04

It is a slog isn't it. I was 13st 11lbs when I joined. But had been 14 the week before. I now weigh 11st 9 so I should be really proud and I am.

My target is 10st, 10st 5lbs at a push.

But I just can't seem to get motivated simce after Christmas. Got rid of the 9lb I put on then thank fuck but now I am back to where I was in November.

I might treat myself to some new clothes. I wasn't going to but if I get clothes that fit rather than being baggy it might make me think twice about the odd gin or pudding.

It's star week too which I know logically won't be helping but am still pissed off with myself.

00100001 · 16/03/2017 14:39

is scan bran nice? (enough for the price!)

Shamoffour · 16/03/2017 14:57

I've really struggled this year too. It's hard to keep the momentum going. I rejoined group this week as going solo was not working. I need the fear of the weekly weigh in on the scales of doom!

Scan bran is probably the most boring food in the world, think carpet tiles. However lots of people have good idea on how to disguise the taste, cakes made from scan bran, quark and despair are popular at our groupWink

ALemonyPea · 16/03/2017 15:24

Scan bran is made from the devils own foot filings. Awful stuff, but like Sham says, most people use them in recipes to disguise. I made marmite and cheese muffins which were ok. You need to make sure you drink loads of water if you do eat it.
