Well done goosey!

FizzySmile · 04/03/2017 09:27

Had my third WI this morning and I've lost another 4lbs, yeeesssss! Grin

So I'm delighted, as I've been sticking faithfully to the eating plan and haven't been allowing myself any treats** at all. It's hard, but pleased it's paying off.

Keeping fingers crossed for at least 2lbs off next Wi so I can hit a full stone off! That's a whole 7 days away though..... Confused

Well done Goosey, it's a great feeling to start the weekend isn't it!**

FizzySmile · 04/03/2017 09:28

Major bold text fail Blush

ClashCityRocker · 04/03/2017 10:02

Well done losers!

Thanks for the kind words guys. yup basin it was definitely your takeaway that did it! Always knew this week would come, but didn't think it would be this week....it's the first week I've been actually expecting a loss!

I've surprised myself at how much of a Big Baby I've been about it - petulant muttering (in my head!) about how the scales are probably broken anyway and I know for a fact that Maureen went to an all-you-can-eat buffet and ate EVERYTHING in sight and still lost 4lbs and it's probably my period time (even though I don't have periods) and I've probably really lost 6lb but put on 6 and 1/2 pounds of muscle from my super intensive half hour gentle stroll at lunch time...

But I've picked myself up, brushed myself off and planned all meals for this week and had a word with myself about being a drama llama.

Actuslly, the members in group were very supportive - they've all been through the same.

Rightio, I'm going to the gym this morning for a bit of cardio, brunch of poached eggs, toms and mushrooms with hex b toast, and SW burgers with hexa blue cheese, SW chips, field mushrooms and salad. Syns for cranberry sauce that is bootiful with blue cheese and burgers.

Groovester · 04/03/2017 10:06

Well done fizzy and goosey
lavender I think we are twins. I've not been this slim for a long time. Go team!
basin I'm sure you'll be fine if you're strict with yourself before weigh in.

Meals here today:

B - scrambled eggs, ham, spinach, peppers, mushrooms and toast (hex b)
L - yogurt and fruit. (I was hungry this morning and don't normally have such a big breakfast!)
D - cowboy pie with broccoli.

Feeling guilty as I had to miss gym once this week due to childcare and I've not gone this morning as feeling a bit tired and run down. Will go tomorrow instead. Work is manic just now with coursework deadlines looming so think my brain is tired from proofreading students' work and cracking the whip!

OwlinaTree · 04/03/2017 10:58

Hi all, happy weekend. It's my son's birthday this weekend, so much celebrating and cake I predict! I'd really like a loss this week as I've had 2 weeks of sts, one unexpected and one not surprising. I've been really trying hard not to have treats for the sake of it this week. So instead of having a freddo because I can, I've been thinking do I really need this? I have managed to cut back a bit. We just end up eating out quite a bit which is my downfall. Although I choose sw friendly stuff, it's never as low cal as doing your own version.

We are off to harvester on Monday, weigh in is on Tuesday so that could be a big issue!!

Groovee · 04/03/2017 12:00

Great losses!

BasinHaircut · 04/03/2017 12:33

Yummy on plan lunch here, home made chicken and veg soup with half a pack of sugar snap peas that I forgot to cook for last night's dinner. All completely free and I'm stuffed!

OwlinaTree · 04/03/2017 12:39

That soup looks lovely.

ALemonyPea · 04/03/2017 12:52

I do like soup. DH made a lovely gammon and veg soup yesterday, loads left over.

Going to a social team gathering today, can't be chewed but feel I should make the effort, and I need to see new people, fed up of staying indoors and not being able to go anywhere unaccompanied. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

BasinHaircut · 04/03/2017 17:58

It was my first soup since I started SW and I really don't know why I don't make more. Gammon soup sounds amazing, might try that.

Did miss bread to dip in but did don't need it as it kept me full all afternoon.

ChessieFL · 04/03/2017 18:10

Lemony are you in the south west? My consultant's social team are having a night out tonight and she also does 7 groups!

harderandharder2breathe · 04/03/2017 18:22

On plan again today and feeling virtuous lol

B red pepper omelette
L cous cous (2 syns for ainsley Harriet pack) with pepper and tomato
D jacket potato with laughing cow light (3 syns) and Heck chicken Italian sausages (1.5 syns)
S babybel light HEXA, alpen light HEXB, ham, pear

harderandharder2breathe · 04/03/2017 18:22

Oh and banana and mullerlight after dinber

00100001 · 04/03/2017 18:32

I can't eat alpen lights ,they make me fart (really smelly too) Blush

muminthecity · 04/03/2017 18:57

That soup looks lovely, but I'd definitely be craving a big hunk of crusty bread and butter to go with it Blush.

Today's food:
B - apple
L - ham, mushroom, tomato pasta salad with a homemade mustard mayonnaise dressing (1.5 syns)
D - weird mix of leftovers from the last 2 nights - lamb steak, tomato and goats cheese pasta and courgettes, onions and peppers (HEA for cheese and 1.5 syns for relish)
S - nothing yet. Will have a hifi or 2 later for my HEB and maybe some popcorn

ALemonyPea · 04/03/2017 19:08

No I'm in the NE.

I did miss having bread with my soup, but then I've stopped eating bread all together as it just bloats me. The seeded bloomer everyone else had, with thick butter on nearly made me cave.

I've gone over my syns today, went to my mams and she had baked all day and everyone else was there, so felt I should have something, as she is a feeder and would go in an almighty mood. So I had the thinnest slice of cake I could. Was very nice. I've had less than 10 syns a day all week, so really not worried, will be the same the rest of the week, then WI for me, first time since 14 Feb, so hoping I've lost something at least.

Had an amazing blue cheese chicken salad tonight. Could quite easily eat it daily.

Well I'm still around, trying to stay on plan but generally failing miserably, but mainly concentrating on growing a new person (and not worrying too much on the days I don't feel pukey) and eating a generally healthy, balanced diet.

Had my booking in with the midwife on Thursday and on the doctor's scales weighed in at 79kg, so only a couple of pounds more than the SW scales had me the week before. I'll be consultant led (because of the other medical things going on, plus the fact that at 40 I'm positively ancient Grin ) and will get a couple of extra scans along the way. I've also booked a private scan for two weeks' time when I'll be 9 weeks.

There were Porky Lights aplenty in my Asda today so DH and I decided that we were having them tonight even if SW have decided they're 4.5 syns (our hypothesis is that it was a mis-sleeved - whether by accident or conspiracy from the "other manufacturer" - packet of Full Fat Porky Whites that were tested, the lab results are far too similar to what they should be and too far away from what the Lights should be to be anything else). If we like them, then he's going back tomorrow morning and buying loads for the freezer!

ALemonyPea · 04/03/2017 19:25

Enjoy the porky lights Em. They really are nice, and I still think they will come down in syns once SW run their "tests".

My friend was telling me about Joes sausages, and how they are free, but I can't find them anywhere apart from online.

ClashCityRocker · 04/03/2017 19:37

Ooh our consultants social team are having a social tonight too - I wonder if the consultants have set times to have them?

Welp, I'm having my second wholly on plan weekend. SW burgers with salad for tea. And no wine.

Bloody scales better be kinder this week!

I've got a meal in next weekend which I will be slightly over Syns for, and alcohol.

Then I'm off to Cheltenham the week after - won't be drinking loads but will be drinking, and of course eating out for three meals a day.

So figured I better be on plan as much as possible before that!

BasinHaircut · 04/03/2017 20:12

Can I ask you all some advice please?

Next weekend we are going away and it's also my birthday. The weekend after birthday celebrations will continue. Should I book 2 weeks off as holiday and so I've got a week to hopefully get back on it? Or is it better to still weigh in and take the hit both weeks ?

Part of me doesn't want to see a gain on the SW scales (which is inevitable), but part of me thinks that if I avoid it I'll likely be worse than I otherwise would and even risk not ever going back.

In other news dinner was salmon and pesto pasta with green beans and peppers, which is becoming a bit of a regular meal in this house. I Need to work out syns now but it's only for pesto so should be well under.

noodlezoodle · 04/03/2017 20:16

STS this week and am sulking slightly as I've done 2 spin classes and 2 yoga classes this week. Sigh. Oh well, onwards and upwards, I feel virtuous even if I don't weigh any less.

Thinking of going mostly booze-free for the rest of March and seeing how much of a difference that makes.

pumpkinsweetie · 04/03/2017 20:24

Im currently doing this from home, been on sw for around 8 weeks and lost 13lb.
Although it is a triumph, it's a slow one.
Averaging 1lb a week off except from the first week where i lost 3lb.

I know they say slower is better, harder to put back on etc, but the slowness of it is making me want to start my fitness pal again although i feel constantly hungry cutting down on calories.

I have stuck to extra easy. 5-10 syns a day for most of these 8 weeks and have had the odd meal off plan but finding it so slow.

Does anyone find the old fashioned 'Red" or 'Green' days any more rewarding?

ALemonyPea · 04/03/2017 20:24

I would probably book two weeks in if your WI is the beginning of the week, as your weight gain mig not be true weight.

If you think you're be able to get right back on and would be fine with a gain, then just fake the one.

OP posts:
ALemonyPea · 04/03/2017 20:24

Take, not fake
