1lb off for me this week, pleased with that as I have been away for most of the week and a couple of slices of fudge cake may have sneaked in at the weekend

BasinHaircut · 28/02/2017 19:56

Well done all! ali you are definitely gonna beat me to target! Well done!

Managed to not have anything other than 2 satsumas this afternoon and just had a lovely dinner of smoked haddock, potato rostis, spinach and a poached egg. Delicious!

Have got 7 syns to play with tonight, might have a raspberry ripple mousse for 4 syns.

Slimmer of the Month checking in Grin
Another 2lbs off, total weightloss 19lbs since 3rd Jan. Still have a long way to go but now I feel it's achievable and not a pipe dream.

Has anyone done an SP day or 2? A girl in my group lost 4.5lbs doing 3 out of 4 SP days. 2 hexb but no other carbs, it sounds quite daunting.

PositiveAttitude · 28/02/2017 20:21

Well done losers.

I am chuffed with a 2.5lb loss tonight. Quite a surprise to be honest!! Grin

latedecember1963 · 28/02/2017 21:38

Fantastic, PA! Probably burned it off with nervous energy after your horrible week. Did the pancakes tonight and DS 2 Woofled them down with me without realising they weren't fried in oil.

alibongo5 · 28/02/2017 21:45

Emmageddon I have done the odd SP day and it's not bad as long as you think how to replace the carbs. I did one more or less by accident today as I had a cauliflower to use up so made cauliflower rice to go with the chicken casserole. And as I'd had no carbs (soup for lunch and fruit for snacks), I realised I had had no carbs today. So I guess I'll have to find some B and A to have as I realise I've had neither.

Might try to do another one tomorrow but not sure yet.

harderandharder2breathe · 28/02/2017 21:53

Well done emmageddon and PA

whatonaschoolnight · 28/02/2017 21:54

Hi all. Just a 1lb loss this week. But that's OK as I ate my weight in cheese on Friday night.

I am confused though reading through the thread I have seen people talk about Hexb2. Does that mean they have 2 portions of Heb?

OwlinaTree · 28/02/2017 22:20

Stayed the same this week. Had a big weekend so I'm alright about it.

Groovee · 28/02/2017 22:27

PA huge hugs!

OrianaBanana · 01/03/2017 08:08

whatonaschoolnight You can have two HExBs if you're doing an SP day. Also you can have extra HExBs if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

ALemonyPea · 01/03/2017 08:20

Well done losers.

Emma, SP days are really easy. You can only have S and P foods, no free foods apart from herbs and spices. Half your plate should be P, half should be S. You have two B choices, one A choice and also your 15 syns.

Using your syns is tricky though as you should avoid synned yoghurts and anything synned that contains foods that are free, like pastas and potatoes. So I usually use my syns on things like salad dressings and a treat, or more cheese. It's all about the cheese.

I often do an SP day if I want pizza, as use Aldi wholemeal bread flour and double it for both B choices.

I put on 2lbs Sad but I've been absolutely awful at sticking to plan so I know where I'm going wrong. My meals are fine, usually free or occasionally low syn for gravy or quorn sausages. My snacking is out of control. I'm thinking of giving up chocolate for lent.

Frouby · 01/03/2017 09:31

Morning all

Been to wi and lost 1/2lb. Did leave my hoodie on though as it was cold and I am all shivery with a bug. Got home and got weighed with and without it and it makes a 1lb difference! Wish I had shivered now lol.

Never mind it's a 1lb banked for next week I suppose.

Still would have been disappointed with a 1.5 tbh. Had a holiday week last week because of half term but have stuck to plan. Plus have hardly eaten anything since sunday because I am ill and haven't had anywhere near 15 syns a day since Friday. Hmph.

Going to write down everything I eat for the next 2 weeks and see how I go. I am struggling to lose even an average of 1/2 lb a week.

Not sure on todays plan either as I still feel shocking. And we are having a new fridge freezer delivered friday so rations are a bit sparse all round. Have some salad in though. But really don't think I can face it. Tea is those stand and stuff taco things which I will have without the taco.

And I might syn a tin of soup for lunch.

Emmageddon · 01/03/2017 10:40

@Frouby I hope you feel better soon - just remember it's half a syn for a Lemsip and 4.5 syns for a packet of Tunes, as I found out to my cost! Stick to no syns Paracetamol, washed down with hot lemon no added sugar squash, instead. Flowers

There was a bit of a Jeremy Kyle-style argument going on at my group, yesterday where this girl said that her scales at home showed she's lost 1lb but the SW scales showed she's gained 2lbs. Hence a lot of shouting at the poor consultant, that the scales were WRONG, she had lost weight, she'd been good all week, she'd been on plan every day apart from one, when she went out for a curry etc etc etc. When the consultant gently said the SW scales are calibrated daily and are definitely correct, her mum and sister joined in, hurling abuse at the consultant and SW in general. Shock Then all 3 of them stormed out, leaving us giggling in shock.

I felt sorry for the consultant though, she didn't have any back up, but she brushed it all off afterwards. I suspect she might enlist the help of a burly male friend or two to act as security next week, if the troublesome trio come back.

LavenderRains · 01/03/2017 10:44

Well done losers.half a pound is half a pound!! Every little helps Grin
at work today so
B; weetabix (hex a&b)
D; ham and chicken pasta with cucumber and tomato
T; mugshot at work and rest of pasta when I get home.
Also got some mango, satsumas and a yogurt.
trying not to have any syns due to pancake overload last night!

LavenderRains · 01/03/2017 10:48

Omg emma that's awful. Shock poor consultant. Bet she won't have moaned if her scales said she gained 3lb at home!!

harderandharder2breathe · 01/03/2017 11:00

emma that's horrible! The poor consultant!

00100001 · 01/03/2017 11:08

Todays meal plan:

Breakfast: Cereal, fruit and yoghurt
HEXB:1 x weetabix, 1 x broken up alpen light bar

Speed: 2 small (funsize) sastumas
Free: muller toffeee yoghurt, 10 grapes

all mixed together!

Lunch: Salad
SPEED: salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, beetroot, maybe grated carrots) FREE: ham/tuna/chicken/baked beans (depending on what is available)

Dinner: Omelette and Veggies
SPEED: onion, pepper (in omelette), Veggie Mix: leeks, cauli, broccoli, FREE: bacon, green beans

TheImprobableGirl · 01/03/2017 13:06

Oooh I like your headings binary! Very professional Grin

Well done on some great losses, I've been following but can't keep up with who has lost what! That is such a shame emma for that consultant- I couldn't ever imagine moaning that they said I'd lost less weight than I had... it's not as if they were a size 8 being told they weighed 20stone?

B- bacon and egg white triple decker sandwich... it was awesome
S- satsuma
L- quorn chilli type thing with butter beans, courgette and tomatoes, quorn Mince, bit of passata, onion, garlic, water, tom paste, chilli powder and Worcester sauce (breathes) was quite tasty and used up a lot of stuff!
D- probably Linda McCartney sausages with mashed potato? Or maybe couscous with chickpeas/ really get some fibre going! I'm aiming for 5 syns max for the rest of this week because I accidentally ate most of some Pizza Hut garlic cheese twist pizza.... and a bottle of wine Hmm last night... I've been running twice already this week though so that will atone for some syns, and I've got two swimming sessions planned. So fingers crossed!

ClashCityRocker · 01/03/2017 13:07

Some great losses, especially PA with all the non-food shite she's had to deal with.

Emma that's terrible. Home scales can be so far out - I know my FIL's scales put on about 4lb! I've given up weighing myself as I don't have access to the same scale to use each time so it's just pointless.

Lunch - been running about between meetings and not had time to grab anything so raided my stash and had a greek style lemon muller light and 2 light cheese strings (hexa).

Will have a couple of slices of wholemeal toast (hexb) with quark and cucumber later.

Tea will be Cajun Pollock, garlic mash, poached egg and curly kale for speed.

BasinHaircut · 01/03/2017 14:51

emma I'm glad the consultant didn't seem too fazed about the commotion. Surely no ones scales at home say exactly the same as the SW ones.

I just ate about the equivalent of a packet of walkers crisps at a meeting and had 2 coffees with 2 syns of sugar each so will need to bear that in mind when I'm doing dinner later.

ALemonyPea · 01/03/2017 14:59

Oh Em, your poor consultant. Some really strange people going to groups. We have a woman comes and goes, and every time she comes, she puts in week by week. No idea what she eats, certainly not on plan.

Nice little meal plan there Binary.

DH thought he'd be nice and bought me a M&S count on us pud for a treat. 7.5 syns in the fucker. I'll eat it anyway, so not to hurt his feelings. Have only had 2.5 syns today anyway.

Just seen this on my SW group FB page:

The Food Co-ordination team at Slimming World Head Office has done some analysis on Porky Lights sausages, after becoming a little concerned about their fatty (albeit delicious!) texture.
The analysis showed that the sausages were indeed much higher in fat than the nutrition panel indicated – and this does affect their Syn value significantly.

We’ve been in touch with Porky Lights to let them know our findings, and they’re looking into it as we speak.

To help protect your weight loss until we have accurate nutritional information to use as a base for our calculations, the sausages have been temporarily removed from Syns Online, the App and Weight Loss Planner’s Syns search and on the Syns Hotline.

In the meantime, if you have a pack of Porky Lights in your fridge/freezer, we’d recommend you count 4½ Syns per sausage.

We’ll be in touch with more news – through your Consultant – once we have it.
