I have had a bloody astoundingly wonderful day today, btw.

I started at WI by losing 3 lbs, back well into target range (1/2 lb above actual target) so the consultant can now click the "upduffed" button and so I will remain "at target" throughout my pregnancy no matter what I gain.

I then got the results for the module assessment for the college course I'm doing and I passed with 78% (out of 25 of us who've sat this module and had results so far, only 5 have passed)

And so to treat myself I had fish, chips and curry sauce for tea and it was fooking lovely but I feel so full now Grin

Groovee · 23/02/2017 20:42

Well done on both counts Em x

BasinHaircut · 23/02/2017 20:52

em great news all round!!

Thanks for that re target too. Think I'll speak to her on Monday and see whether she is likely to let me change target once I'm there. I want to make it lower, not higher and I'd be happy to pay until I get there (if I do decide to lower it) so can't hurt her surely?!

ClashCityRocker · 23/02/2017 21:00

2.5 lb off tonight, making 16lb in total and got my stone award Grin

Well done em

FaithAgain · 23/02/2017 21:01

WI a day late for me tonight, worked yesterday. I'm a bit gobsmacked to have lost 1.5lb! AF arrived overnight and I feel awful so I was hoping for a maintain at best.

Well done em, that's brilliant Smile

ALemonyPea · 23/02/2017 21:06

Well done on the losses and on your award Clash.

Em, I agree with you at getting to a target that will be easy to maintain. My target will get me to a BMI of 26.5 and hopefully a size 12 like yourself. I could push to be under 10 stone if I really wanted to, but I know it would be so hard to stay there and I don't want to have to be struggling daily with food once at target.

I will be going to class once I get to target, I am on the social team after all Wink

Well done losers. Believe it or not I lost a pound. I think it was obviously the smear test that helped me after all... I've come home and just eaten approx 11ty million syns in crisps and chocolate. Back on it in the morning.

harderandharder2breathe · 23/02/2017 21:49

Well done Em!

FaithAgain · 23/02/2017 21:51

My target is only 3lb under a BMI of 25 for me. I'm designed to be curvy. Any lighter and I think I'd look daft! I aim to get there and see how I feel.

madein1995 · 23/02/2017 22:13

Well done losers Smile

Today for me has been
Breakfast - 1 kfc mini fillet (3 syns)
Lunch - Leek and potato soup and half a bread roll (half hexb)
Snack - Hifi bar (other half hexb), americano with sweetner tablet and dash of skimmed milk (part of hexa)
Tea - Pasta, fried mushrooms, peppers, tomatos, half a tin heinz soup (4syns), 20g cheese
Snack - 1/5th small easter egg (5 syns)
2x slimming world meatballs
2x milk tray chocolates (4)
Bang on 15 syns again

LavenderRains · 23/02/2017 22:20

Well done on all the good losses today! & well done em with your news.
Thanks for the clarification re the targets. Maybe I should aim for 5 stone loss as my bmi is still 33 after a 3 stone+ lossBlush
when I got married 30 years ago my wedding dress was a size 8/10 & there's no way I am gonna get to that size!!
I've gone from 22 to 16/18 since Oct. I would be happy to get to a 14 as I haven't been that for years!

Groovee · 23/02/2017 22:21

Well done on all the losses!

Quick question, how do people use their healthy extras? Looking for new ideas.

OwlinaTree · 23/02/2017 22:40

Well done losers! Some great losses there.

I had hexb pistachios in a salad today, that was nice.

I'm not sure what to do about setting a target. I want to lose a bit more yet, maybe another stone? But like a pp said, I don't want to go so far that it becomes too difficult to maintain (that's what happened when I did ww!)

So difficult to know what to do...

ALemonyPea · 23/02/2017 23:36

I only really have cheese as my HEA as don't like milk, don't drink tea (black if I ever do anyway) or coffee and dislike cereal.

I like to chop and change my HEB. I avoid bread like the plague. Recently been having 1/2 stewed fruit and oats. Yummy.

OP posts:
ClashCityRocker · 24/02/2017 07:19

Occasionally I have cashew nuts with a meal, like if I make Kung po chicken.

LavenderRains · 24/02/2017 08:22

I'm a bit boring with my Hex's
I have cheese or milk for A, only use milk if I'm taking weetabix to work. 30g of grated cheddar is lovely with omelette or jacket potato.
For B's I have brown bread either for sandwich or toast with beans. I use the crust less brown loaf which gives me 2 nice little slicesSmile
I never use my milk for tea allowance as I have really strong tea and only have a couple a day.

BasinHaircut · 24/02/2017 08:57

Well done all on the losses and clash nice one on the stone award. I think we've had 5 or 6 between us this week!

My HEX's are generally weetabix or oats and milk. At the weekend i might use my HEXA for cheese but during the week I'd have to syn one or the other as the only time I have non-cereal breakfast would be on the weekend when we might have a fry up. If that is that case I'd normally have my HEXB as toast.

So yeah, pretty boring here too Grin

Have been a bit lacking in speed for the past couple of days. Not completely but I think I didn't plan enough variety this week and so I got fed up. Another lesson learned.

Today I haven't got any speed for lunch either unless I count the cauli sauce on my macaroni. Was going to bring salad to eat with it but just dont fancy it and it was on the turn

Apart from that I've still been on plan all week though so hopefully no damage done.

On the way to work now and I really can't be arsed today. Roll on home time.

TheImprobableGirl · 24/02/2017 09:17

lavender I use the crustless wholemeal for bread because then you get 3 little slices! Grin

TheImprobableGirl · 24/02/2017 09:25

Im another one with sneaky period (star? Special snowflake? Whatever we're calling it now!) arriving overnight so feel like a bloaty balloon and wanting carbs and chocolate.

Promised the kids a walk to the library which is an hour each way so should burn some body magic thereabouts.
B- bananas and half an egg white omelette with peppers and a bit of ham
L- hopefully more leek and potato soup if dp hasn't eaten it all
S- fruit, more fruit, might use my syns for something tasty if I fancy something!
D- burger in HEB wholemeal bun with sw chips, and a tasty crispy salad
S- light and free blueberry yoghurt (yum!)

Trying to find some fat free fromage frais to use in potato salad etc but struggling to find any in Tesco! Any ideas

Emmageddon · 24/02/2017 10:35

Tesco is useless for fat-free fromage frais. Could you use quark instead?

TheImprobableGirl · 24/02/2017 10:38

Quark was gross Grin I'm in spitting distance of asda, Aldi and a Sainsbury's local if that is any better?

ALemonyPea · 24/02/2017 10:46

I'm so bloody excited about my tea tonight. Having an SP day especially so I can make a bacon and blue cheese pizza. Cannot wait!

I love quark Blush. You need to be creative with it, it's definitely not a spread on a cracker type thing, needs flavour added to it. Can be used in both sweet and savoury stuff. Embrace your inner quark queen. My favourite thing is quark with lemon juice, great for a sweet fix.

OP posts:
Emmageddon · 24/02/2017 10:49

Aldi sells ff fromage frais. I like quark but sweetened with fruit or stirred into a pasta sauce, like a carbonara.

I'm hungry today, I've done a couple of low carb days and it doesn't work for me, I just want to eat and eat and eat!! So today, poached eggs on a Kingsmill think with tomatoes, spaghetti bolognese with real spaghetti not courgette noodles, and probably Heck sausages, beans and chips for tea.

Groovee · 24/02/2017 11:27

I'm trying to mix up my healthy extras as I feel stuck in a rut. I'm on week 7 of my period! Damn the mini pill and because of the blood loss, my iron supplies are dwindling (mini pill was supposed to stop all this) 10 weeks til I a, back. At the hospital. Just. Trying to give my body a kick start in to feeling good on the healthy food. Have done cheese on toast, overnight oats, porridge weetabix, ryvita fruit crunch, ryvita multigrain, Finn original crisp breads, baked oats, oaty pancakes and bought Aldi's blueberry wheats.

I have mozzarella 50% cheese, babybel lights, laughing cow lights, milk in cereal if needed and milk as a hot chocolate with chocolate shot.

I'm out tonight, it's a yo sushi style Chinese. Have been low Syns to have a Flexi syn day. Just going to enjoy myself and hope the pomegranate helps me move now I am back on iron tablets.

PippaFawcett · 24/02/2017 12:31

Hello! I'm new to this thread and to SW. I have had a rubbish couple of weeks and only lost 1lb so far. I'm not sure I really understand the plan yet, my leader rattled through it in seconds and I need to spend more time reading the books.

But can someone tell me quickly what a Birds Eye Potato Waffle is in syns and a small can of Heinz spaghetti hoops? I'm starving and need lunch!
