Wow Mrswolf amazing!Star

TheImprobableGirl · 22/02/2017 17:51

Yep that would be right- 7.5 syns for a chapati- must've mixed it up with something else! Grin

I lost 1lb today so quite happy with that

ClashCityRocker · 22/02/2017 17:54

Well done lavender and mrswolf

I've giving up weighing myself on other people's scales - my dmils are 4lb out on the heavy side!

Yup, the phrase body magic makes me want to stab people. And surely cleaning for fifteen minutes is not bloody 'body magic' anyway...

mrswolf they seem to do everyone on the iPad thingy regardless of how many turn up - first meeting I didn't get out until half nine and it started at blooming seven.

Wish they didn't - two and a half hours of 'well done, Maureen, you've lost half a pound! What are you going to do next week? Eat some more speed? Yes, speed is good! Hurrah for speed.' 'Sandra, you've put on two pound, oh no, what are you going to do next week? Eat more speed? Yes, speed is good! Hurrah for speed!'

I've promised myself when I get to target I'm going to weigh and run.

Although to be fair, last week she did away with the iPad and it was actually a fairly helpful session - much more chatting with other members of the group and I felt like I got more out of it. Wish they were all like that.

ALemonyPea · 22/02/2017 17:54

Well done losers. Well done on your 5.5 stone MrsWolf, such a great achievement. Do you have much more to lose?

OP posts:
Groovester · 22/02/2017 19:34

Fingers crossed then clash - back to the gym tomorrow along with lots of water drinking.
wolf - amazing loss!

madein1995 · 22/02/2017 19:40

The chat gets annoying to me too - not too bad if it's a taster week, or if there's new products coming out so things centre around that, but most week it can drag a bit. There's 30 odd in my group so it takes an hour and half to go through! That said though, everyone has a bit of a joke and unlike a previous group it's less 'how've you done? How will you do next week? Set a target' and more of a chat about something new you've tried cooking/something you'll do next week/the group trip to Mamma Mia next month' so it can get a bit interesting. The bingo/game thing cheers things up a bit, so does the small children who wander around the group and are sweet Smile we played pass the small child last week when everyone tried to calm an upset baby to give mum a bit of a break, a little boy of around 3 took the banana from the slimmer of the weeks bag Grin and one little boy covered his ears at hearing the baby cry Smile that's plenty of entertainment!

MrsWOLF1 · 22/02/2017 19:52

ALemoneyPea ,around another 4 and a half stone .I started sw on 31/8/2016 after a couple of years of ill health and its gone on from there .

Frouby · 22/02/2017 20:02

Evening all

Sorry you are still feeling rough Lemony, but it's quite a big operation to get over. Take your time and take it easy. Do you enjoy reading? I am about 25% of the way through The Goldfinch and loving it. Recommended a lot on here and finally got around to starting it.

It would half be worth being bedbound to read it all!

Not been a bad day today. Did accidentally eat 2 x hebs but I didn't have any at the weekend so my bowel will probably appreciate it.

B. Coffee
L. Museli and aldi skyr yog. Definitely recommend those but are 1.5syns but so worth it.
T. Sw fry up. 7 syns for sausages.

ALemonyPea · 22/02/2017 20:06

That's an impressive amount to lose since August! I've lost 6 stone since April. Imkeep changing my target, at the minute it's another stone, realistically it should be another 2-2.5 stone.

Frouby, currently reading Dear Amy, enjoying it, but I'm still quite exhausted so not had time to really get into it.

WOLF how amazing. You must be so proud.

I just needed CARBS tonight so the planned salad for dinner went out the window. We had leftover pulled pork with macaroni cheese made with calzone's cauliflower sauce and a teeny tiny bit of salad. A suggestion of speed if you please.

Groovee · 22/02/2017 21:17

I had to walk home from brownies tonight! I'm exhausted now. That can be my exercise for the month Grin

ClashCityRocker · 22/02/2017 22:10

lemony there's nowt worse than being too poorly to enjoy enforced rest.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

We've only ever had one kid at our group, she was a lovely little thing. Apparently the earlier group is manic with kids. I think it's grand they're happy to have them there.

basin my husband has started calling that 'oh shit! Salad!'... Because I occasionally forget to buy veggies, start plating up, notice the lack of speed and say 'oh shit!' before banging a wee bit of salad on the side. I can confirm that salad does not make a good accompaniment to beef stew.

Today's food:-
B Dry wholemeal toast for hex b, hastily shoved in the gob as I ran through the door.
L 2 X low baby bell, turkey tikka pieces, carrot sticks, Muller light
T (inspired by come dine with me!) Cajun chicken skewers with mushrooms and peppers. 4 Syns for garlic mayo as the bastard yoghurt I bought to make garlic yoghurt was honey flavoured. And tasted of arse, so I can't even eat it as yoghurt (plus I think it's synned)

Lots of water and peppermint tea.

OwlinaTree · 22/02/2017 22:50

Well done lavender!

noodlezoodle · 22/02/2017 22:53

Lemony when I'm feeling too poorly to read I rely on podcasts. My favourite is the West Wing Weekly which is a week by week review of old West Wing episodes, but there are billions of different things to choose from - some radio episodes but some that are only made as podcasts. Might be a good option if you're bored stiff but too tired to read? I hope you feel better soon.

madein1995 · 22/02/2017 23:28

Today's food -
1 mini wrap and 1 tsp nutella at 1am (7.5 syns)
B - Mango
L - Mini chicken fillet (3) with rice and salad
More mango
T - Spiced chicken and mango salad (2.5) with 20g feta cheese and some extra sliced chicken
A bowl of strawberries, blueberries and raspberry
1 tsp of nutella (1.5)
125ml semi skimmed milk and 2 hifi bars
14.5 syns

BasinHaircut · 23/02/2017 07:56

clash I love that: 'oh shit salad' Grin.

I normally meal plan the whole week so know exactly what speed I'm supposed to be having but last night was a last minute change of plan due to me being ravenous. Just goes to show really that if you don't plan the speed in it's easy to start slipping on it.

Tonight's dinner is also a change of plan because we've got friends coming over for dinner tomorrow and so I've switched the meals round as I've only got enough of what was originally planned for tonight to stretch to 4.

Just been informed that the Sunday lunch out this week will be a Chinese buffet instead of a carvery. I am not happy about this but seeing as I've pretty much dictated where we've eaten the past 2 times I've eaten out with friends so I could order low syn options I'm gonna have to suck it up. But it's day before weigh in and I know the saltiness will make me retain water.

Any tips for what I should eat? I'm going to stick to steamed rice if they have it, and I'm thinking meat in black bean sauce and veggies - plain as possible. Think they also have a grill which might be a good shout but depending on the queue for it I may or may not be able to wait around for it.

WhoKn0wsWhereTheTimeG0es · 23/02/2017 08:11

Basin - when we've had Chinese takeaway I've had chicken with cashew nuts and boiled rice, I know nuts are high in fat but I crave a bit of crunch with my Chinese and it saves me reaching for the prawn crackers. Hard to resist stuff at a buffet though.

0.6lb off for me this week. I have really slowed down (even by my target of 1lb a week) having only lost 2lb in 4 weeks, so I need to give myself a bit of a boot up the bum. I'm pleased to have lost that 0.6lb as it is a step in the right direction and given how much crap I've eaten this week it's actually a pleasant surprise, but I need to take myself in hand a bit more firmly.

alibongo5 · 23/02/2017 08:41

Unfortunately this was me last night so I'll have to rein it in at the weekend to make up for it. Made the diet coke chicken last night and really liked it. That'll be a staple now until I use up all the Asda diet coke my husband bought at Christmas and everyone refused to drink!

I'm glad other people hate the words Body Magic. Just call it exercise for God's sake!!

Syns also grates on me. It infers that certain foods are sinful and wicked. What's wrong with calling them treats or extras?

And the plugging of products gets tiresome too. I'd rather have a few decent recipes for homemade meals, than be told Iceland sell ready meals for £3 and have to look interested as various wrappers and posters are passed around. Grin

However without SW I doubt I'd have lost 17lbs since January 3rd. And there are some lovely, funny, warm people in my group, the camaraderie is great.

Onwards and downwards!!

Groovester · 23/02/2017 09:46

Smear test today. TMI! Maybe the scraping of cells will make me weigh less tonight? Grin

TheImprobableGirl · 23/02/2017 09:47

I like the way the consultant says "thanks losers, I hope to see less of you next week!"
I still haven't won s-o-w Sad I really want to!
B- bacon oatcakes (6syns for flour/yeast HEB oats) with HEA cheese and balsamic tomatoes
L- probably leek and potato soup
D - s/w cottage pie with carrots
S- lots of cups of tea, going to have 200ml skimmed milk for 4 syns bringing me up to 10 for the day

TheImprobableGirl · 23/02/2017 09:48

Ah something to look forward to groovester Grin I love that feeling after a smear... when you know you don't have to go again for a while!!

ALemonyPea · 23/02/2017 09:50

Haha best of luck with that Groovster. Every little helps right?

I slept loads yesterday, feeling fresher today. Going to try not have as many pain killers, see how I get on.

Lovely and sunny here as well, where's the storm? Wish I could take the DC out. Day in today for them, they'll be climbing the walls by the time DH gets in.

OP posts:
Emmageddon · 23/02/2017 10:58

@ALemonyPea lovely and sunny?

Storm Doris is threatening to blow my house away here on the North Wales coast! The dog's too scared to go out for a pee and even my usually fearless cat is hiding behind the settee.

It's day for comfort food by the fire. Grin pass the chocolate

Basin I think pork/chicken balls are syn free if you take all the batter off, and veg will probably be free (if it's not fried in oil, that is), I think black bean sauce and curry sauce maybe aren't too high in syns?

I'm all out of nice fruit and yogurt Sad the only fruit I have is satsumas and bananas! Not going shopping so having to make do.
Lunch was leek and potato soup with half a wholemeal roll, plus another mini chicken fillet (3syns)
I'll have an americano in costa, with semi skimmed milk as part of my HexA
Tea will probably be a 2 egg omelette with bacon, 20g reduced fat cheese (rest of hexa), mushrooms and other veg.
I'll have an hifi this evening to pick, and snack on satsumas and bananas
Not too heavy on the syns today, going to take lots of willpower to resist a muffin in costa (would indulge but it's 20 odd syns, and I really want that 2 pounds off on Saturday) Tomorrow I think I'll do a fish curry and rice for tea

Meeting my boss in town to terminate my employment so I think resisting the cake may be tricky (is by mutual agreement, but there is no love lost between us)
Am feeling positive however, as have a busyish month. I'm determined to get back into the gym and am planning to go on Saturday after Slimming World (I'll walk if it's dry so even more exercise). I have an interview on Monday for a support work job, another interview next Thursday for a DWP job, I'm in court on the 21st (not as a defendant!) and on holidays from the 25th in Cornwall (which may prove tricky in terms of sticking to SW but will need to book holiday - don't think I'd like to go to a SW class when on holiday) and then my birthday on the 22nd April so a bit busy. Add in mothers day, and dads birthday (present shopping) and it's busy ut thats what I like!
