Newbie - starting tomorrow

Hi everyone, beginning sw tomorrow from home. Tried going to group a few years ago and didn't like it! Thought I'd say 'Hi' Smile

Bloody big shock when I got on the scales this morning! I've got to do this or not sure I'll see my little darlings grow up! They soooo want me to lose weight (think they're getting a little embarrassed by me now they're growing up a bit Sad). So this is for my babies!

I'm starting again on Thursday, I lost 3st last time, I am really keen to get slimmer again and feel a bit healthier. :)

I think I may rejoin but online this time. At the mo I'm just doing it from home and alone but am aware that all my old books etc are probably out of date. Does anyone else here do it online and find it useful?

Hi can I join in please? Think I need the motivation! Starting today with my old books,did it a few years ago and lost a couple of stone but put it back on after another DC. Now I have a lot to lose - just need avoid any run ins with all the Easter chocolate that's around Grin

I'm online. It's ok - I do get frustrated as there's a fair amount of stuff not listed. All I really use is the food diary and the syn calculator....

I am online. Started last week. Using the food diary, syn calculator.

Have had a good lunch, poached egg on wholemeal toast, with ham and tomato on the side. Going to have a cup of tea now and some pineapple for pud.

Dinner is chicken, courgettes, red pepper, onion, mushroom with reggae sauce bunged all over. Served on pasta with a bit of cheese on top. It is my own creation and I love it. I think the reggae sauce and cheese will max out my syns though Hmm so will try and be frugal.

The kids would never forgive me as it's their chocolate I'm eating (they've lots so not so obvious!). I did take a chocolate cake into work today for colleagues to eat to get it out of the house & didn't even take a piece then myself but somehow stuff myself when I get home. Somehow need it get my head into gear.

Not sure if I've had a good day or not Confused.

Breakfast - 4 x ryevita, low cream cheese, gherkins, salt beef slices

Lunch - pasta, sauce, meatballs, carrots, green beans

Supper - tinned steak in gravy, tinned new pots, frozen mixed veg (v. tired!)

Snacks - low fat hot choc, grapes, banana, bit of DD's Easter egg Blush

my weigh day is Saturday. I have been trying hard but think I will be lucky to get a lb off. we'll see.

Thank you - my consultant said we need to draw a line under Easter & move forward so that's what I need to do.

I'll be good for breakfast (2 weetabix) & lunch (maybe some pasta & lots of fruit) but I'm out for a friends birthday tomorrow night which is dinner & plenty of wine!!
Will need to be good for the rest of the weekend to make up for it.

What's your plan for a good day before weigh in?

I am going to have a banana for breakfast. Either left over cottage pie or egg on toast for lunch. I am going out for dinner tonight though so not much hope for tomorrow Sad

I also just weighed myself and I was slightly heavier than last Saturday Hmm

I officially joined on Thursday, I weigh less than I thought but still more than is good for me!

I am doing ok, lots of salad and fruit, we had the "burger in a bowl" from the SW Fakeaway book last night with was really tasty.

Ham, Leek and Pea pasta from Family Feasts tonight. :) I'm also keen to try the pizza recipe because that is the one thing I always miss and for 51/2 syns for quarter of a large pizza. I'm game! Grin

That's disappointing but best to put it behind you & move forward. If you have a good week then you'll see a loss next week.

Staying for group is worth it for the support you get & for keeping you focused. I do best when I stay for group but unfortunately these days it's a struggle to stay with so much going on & I think that's why I'm not seeing the success I should as can't keep on plan for the entire week.

Had a good breakfast on scrambled egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and 1 chipolata sausage.

Went for lunch out and had pasta arrabiata.

Got home, threw up lunch due to sudden migraine and have just woken up. Sad
