Anyone want to jump back on the SW wagon with me next week?

I did really well on SW last year until about August when it all went horribly wrong.

We had a good virtual group on here. A lot of us were doing it ourselves rather than going to a group but we had some fantastic 'group losses'.

Does anyone want to join me next week and get going again? I am planning to weigh in on the 6th...

Lost 2. I was hoping for a bit more with it being the first week, but a loss is a loss.

beanandspud · 16/01/2014 10:32

Don't be disappointed fruitpastilles 2lb is a great loss Grin. I seem to remember the mantra on here from last year was 'slow and steady...slow and steady" which is a far more sustainable way for the weight to come off.

Looking for a good day today (and DH is away which makes life easier)...

B - Banana and muller light
L - Parsnip soup
D - Potato wedges and vegetables with salmon

Well done fruit :) 2lbs is double what I lost if makes you feel better :)

And yes a fab loss. Some people lose 4/5lbs a week. Not us :(

B porridge and milk and banan so a&b
L
T lasagne and veg

Working today so not sure what to eat - will rummage in fridge and hopefully salad etc / don't want sandwich as used my b unless syns a slice of bread?

kazzerb50 · 16/01/2014 12:12

b - Scrambled egg made with skimmed milk, very lean ham, 2 small rounds wholemeal toast.

l - fruit & mullerlight strawberry yoghurt.

t - sirloin steak & sw chips, mushy peas

Does this all sound ok or am I going wrong somewhere ?

kazzerb50 · 16/01/2014 12:41

Anyone have a recipe for syn free rice pudding please ?

beanandspud · 16/01/2014 12:50

Kazzer I found this one on line rice pudding recipe

Or this one:

3oz Pudding Rice
500ml Diet/No Added Sugar Cream Soda
1 Vanilla Mullerlight Yogurt
1/2tsp Vanilla Extract (optional)

Put the rice and cream soda in a pan and bring to the boil.
Simmer until liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat and leave to cool.
Stir in mullerlight yogurt and serve.

I'm not a fan of rice pudding so it doesn't float my boat so to speak but do feed back on what it's like?

fruitpastilles · 16/01/2014 18:41

I don't actually know why I was disappointed, I normally lose 1 a week so should be pleased...... And I am really I suppose lol.

I had a rice pudding recipe somewhere, must dig it out, it had cinnamon in and was quite nice.

Today was

Lunch - joes sausages (free), egg, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and spaghetti hoops.
Dinner was broccoli and fish pie, not a SW recipe, but bloody lovely, used 30g cheese as hea and the rest come out at 10.5 syns...... Which I would never normally use on a dinner, but Thursday is weigh day so I have a little treat Smile

Still need to have heb have no idea what to have though as I'm full from dinner.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/01/2014 18:47

fruitpastilles · 16/01/2014 19:05

NachoAddict · 16/01/2014 19:39

nacho - you like my weetabix muffins then?
roly -grrr @ having to pay, hope next week is better

MotherGirth · 16/01/2014 21:16

Hello, just introducing myself. There seem to be two ongoing threads so I've picked what seems to be the busiest.

Can I talk you through my plan for tomorrow to check I'm thinking along the right lines please?

B: weetabix with milk and banana
L: pasta, tuna (annoyingly I thought tuna was free but just realised it's about 3 syns for half a can), peas & sweetcorn, light mayo (2), cheddar (25g), salad leaves
D: rice, ...

As I write I realise I need to have a rethink. Why on earth are prawns 5 syns? Hmm

MotherGirth · 16/01/2014 21:17

Do you use all your syns, and can you carry over?

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/01/2014 21:25

Mother girth - welcome and are you doin ee?

Coz if you are then tuna prawns - all fish - lean meats - pasta - rice - potato - fruit and veg - apart from avacado are free

NachoAddict · 16/01/2014 21:30

They weren't too bad Blondes these ones have gone much better though, I used a toffee Greek style Muller so think half a syn for the lot.

mother you can carry over if you don't use them all that's fine.

As Blondes said, if you follow, extra easy plan all lean meat and fish is free along with pasta rice potatoes etc.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/01/2014 21:33

I'm tempted to try chocolate weetabix muffins - but I really enjoyed mine

Really :( at my avacado / why is it the only fruit / veg that isn't free

MotherGirth · 16/01/2014 21:39

Oh right. I see what I've done - I used the wrong colour code and tuna and prawns have syn values on green, whatever that is Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/01/2014 21:06

1 lb off - sure if I hadn't had the so yummy avacado and moz salad may have been Able to scrape 2 lbs

NachoAddict · 17/01/2014 22:00

Well done blondes, a lb off is a lb in the right direction.

I am still amazed about avacado!

I have got weigh in tomorrow am.

mother green and original were the old plan, extra easy is well, easier ?? are you getting the hang of it now?

AntiJamDidi · 18/01/2014 10:00

I've been very bad for 2 weeks Blush Back to it today. I weighed in this morning and I've put on 3lbsBlush That'll be the Christmas chocolates that jumped into my mouth. They are all gone now so I have no excuse.

so my plan for this week is to plan ahead.
Today I'm having
b: fruit and a high bar
l: egg and chips with mushrooms and peppers
d: probably risotto, loads of veg in and maybe some chicken.

I'm about to go through my recipe books and magazines to find some new and interesting meal ideas for the rest of the week.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/01/2014 11:07

Good luck nacho

Jam - 3 lbs isn't that bad for Christmas and sure will soon come off

beanandspud · 18/01/2014 15:10

-2lbs this morning! Grin I'm delighted as I don't feel as if I have been at all deprived (apart from missing the odd glass of wine).

Today I'm having:

B- Banana (to be fair I got a very long lie-in this morning so it was rather more like elevenses)
L - Jacket potato, cottage cheese, large salad and muller light
D - SW paella with seafood

S - Alpen bars (HeB), lots of fruit, large g&t planned for this evening...

Just bought the SW magazine and hoping for some new recipe ideas.
