Anyone want to jump back on the SW wagon with me next week?

I did really well on SW last year until about August when it all went horribly wrong.

We had a good virtual group on here. A lot of us were doing it ourselves rather than going to a group but we had some fantastic 'group losses'.

Does anyone want to join me next week and get going again? I am planning to weigh in on the 6th...

1lb off for me this week, bit dissapointed but my fault as we went out for my daughters birthday at the weekend. On the plus side I am 2 stone lighter than I was this time last year.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2014 14:29

well done lisa and laughalot :)

i made weetabix muffins today - scrummy

crush 2 weetabix (b)
mix in 2 eggs, yog, tbsp sweetener

cake cases/muffin trays 20mins 180 - makes 8 and just like a moist muffin

i did vanilla but may try with strawberry/chocolate ml

b fruit and weetabix muffins
l eggs, sw chips and beans, fruit
t sw lasagne, cheese sauce (7) but makes 4portions so 2 and veg

NachoAddict · 14/01/2014 18:47

How many yogurts do you add into the muffins Blondes? I've not had my B yet today so might try those.

B fruit & Yog
L chicken salad
D Cowboy Hotpot (1) - went down a treat and baby had seconds!!

Well done on your weight loss, Lisa and laughalot, a lb off is a lb in the right direction!

kazzerb50 · 14/01/2014 20:36

I lost 11llb last year but put 7llb back on over Xmas / new year. Am off on hols at the end of March and really want to lose some weight and flab for then. Have started back on plan this last week and have lost 5llb. Don't know if I should re-join group to keep motivated now though ?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2014 21:28

One Danone low fat pot / think they are 125g. Could add a large mulier light to make more moister

Really nice and felt like eating a cake :)

NachoAddict · 14/01/2014 22:02

I had a bash with 3/4 of a pot of Muller cranberry and raspberry. Not sure I am convinced but they weren't disgusting so will have another go. I only made 4 though and they didn't rise so more like flatish muffin bites. Not sure what went wrong.

Hi Kazzer well done on you 5lb loss, that's really good. I think going to group keeps me on plan, I have paid my money so don't want to waste it!

whattoWHO · 14/01/2014 22:28

1/2lb loss this week. I haven't followed the plan very well, I'm struggling to get back in the groove.

I'm having friends over for dinner this weekend. Planning arrabiata pasta bake with chicken (all syn free). Has anyone got any dessert ideas?

NachoAddict · 14/01/2014 23:12

Eton mess, meringue (3syns) fresh fruit and fat free yogurt on your serving.

Chocolate mousse, Quark mixed with a tbs of sweetener, some vanilla essence and an options hot chocolate sachet (2) top with satsuma segments and chopped strawberries.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/01/2014 06:36

What - still a loss so well done

Nacho - maybe it was your flavour Wink or maybe too big. Make smaller ones. I really liked and did taste ok and cakish

Have day off today. So may try this homity pie you all rave about - basically cheesy mash with onions and leeks :)

kazzerb50 · 15/01/2014 13:36

Nacho I think you might be right so I'm going to re-join next week. Also it gives me the social side of things too. Have recently moved to a new area and new job and so am a little short on female company. I really need to tone up too but it is just to daunting to turn up on my own to exercise class. Glad sw is so welcoming or I wouldn't go there either !

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/01/2014 15:37

not sure if made wrong, but homity pie was a bland souffle thing :(

not sure why you rave about it??

fruitpastilles · 15/01/2014 15:42

Aaarggghh first weigh in day tomorrow and dfs have text to say they are delivering my new sofa between 8 and 11 - class is at 9:30. I don't really want to go to the evening session as I will be heavier and my loss, if any, won't be as good. What should I do?

Breakfast - banana (playgroup this morning so all I had time for)
Lunch - baked potato with beans and salad.
Dinner - will be baked chicken and mushroom risotto.

NachoAddict · 15/01/2014 18:05

Oh no Fruit can anyone else sir in while you just weigh and go? Your Dinner sounds lovely. I will be making a risotto again next week.

Blondes I've not tried that one yet, have it on the menu for Friday. Will report back what it's like. Will have another try at the muffins today too.

Kazzer could you buddy up with someone in sw and suggest they join a class with you?

NachoAddict · 15/01/2014 18:08

Oh

B Weetabix muffins & satsuma
L jacket with Tuna and salad
D salt and pepper chips with egg and field veg.

beanandspud · 15/01/2014 18:28

Do you think you can make the muffins with DS's choc chip weetabix? [hopeful]

Home after two days away. Been a bit mixed in terms of SW as had pretty much fruit all day yesterday until dinner which was salmon, new potatoes and salad, a very, very small dessert and a couple of glasses of wine. Think there was some butter on the potatoes so not good but could have been worse.

Lunch today though was fishcake, salad, chips and coleslaw Blush.

Having baked potato and cottage cheese tonight and hoping it's not going to have undone the good work.

I wish there was someone nacho, might just have to suck it up and go on the evening.

I like the sound of these weetabix muffins, I have weetabix most mornings for breakfast and these would be a nice change. Think I'll make some tomorrow.

fruitpastilles · 15/01/2014 19:45

Ooh and the risotto was delicious, can't believe how easy it was aswell.

NachoAddict · 15/01/2014 19:52

Will you post the recipe for the risotto please?

How long would you be out of the house, getting to group, getting weighed and going home? Could you leave a note on the door with your mobile number saying just popped out. What if you had to do the school run.

fruitpastilles · 15/01/2014 20:05

Baked risotto -

2 small onions finely chopped
2 garlic cloves crushed
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (I used dried as didn't have fresh)
300g Arborio rice
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
900ml hot chicken or vegetable stock
200g frozen peas
2 chicken breasts
Mushrooms

Preheat oven to 200 degrees / gas 6
Spray large frying pan or wok with fry light and fry the onions for 4-5 mins until soft. Add chicken and mushrooms and fry for a further 4 mins. Add garlic thyme and rice and cook, stirring for 2 mins, stir in the stock and then transfer everything to a baking dish. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20-25 mins (or until the stock is absorbed) until the rice is tender. Remove from oven and add the peas, leave to stand for 2-3 mins until the peas have warmed through (I cover and put back in the oven for 5) season with salt and pepper.
I usually add my 30g cheddar (hea) aswell after I've served up my portion..... Then put cheese in the dish for dp and dd.

Yes that's a good idea, they are supposed to call when on the way anyway, it's only up the road I'd leave at 9:20 and be back for 10 past 10 I'd say.

fruitpastilles · 15/01/2014 20:10

Chicken is diced, forgot to put that, obvious to most but when I follow a recipe I follow it exactly and wouldn't notice a mistake Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/01/2014 20:15

fruitpastilles · 15/01/2014 20:35
