Anyone want to jump back on the SW wagon with me next week?

I did really well on SW last year until about August when it all went horribly wrong.

We had a good virtual group on here. A lot of us were doing it ourselves rather than going to a group but we had some fantastic 'group losses'.

Does anyone want to join me next week and get going again? I am planning to weigh in on the 6th...

What's in homity pie? I've not tried that one.

we are roasted veg tonight, red onion, red pepper, carrots, sweet potato and butternut squash. Lots of tasty superfree.

Had broccoli and ham omelette for lunch, no such thing as leftovers in this house!!

Free nibbles.. Potato pakoras, fruit wedges, raw vegtable sticks, frozen fruit. Pickled inions wrapped in a piece of ham. Fruit skewers.

NachoAddict · 11/01/2014 17:58

Thanks Blondes cross posted there Smile

Morning!

Been a very busy hectic week back in work and struggled with the plan this week. Not getting WI until Wed, so still got a few days to get back on track.

Some good losses going on here - I lost 1lb last week and need 2lb to get my 2 stone award - aiming for that this week or worst case next Monday (20th).

Downfall this week has been Christmas cake - too moreish and too many syns! Planned all my food for this week through, and got the shopping ins, so determined to get a loss this week.

Hope everything is ok with everyone. I will try to post here every day this week, with my food - to keep me on track!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2014 12:14

androb thats why i post menus - to keep me on track

b yog and fruit
l fry up sw - bacon, lm sausages (2) eggs, toms, beans
t jacket tuna mayo (1) salad

made a huge pot of parsnip soup for when i get nibbly :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2014 12:23

himity pie

basically a cheesey potato pie with veg Grin

will try

anyone add meat to it?

Ledkr · 12/01/2014 13:07

Idiot question.
If you use your cheese as your a he, do you just syn your milk for tea and cereal?

Ledkr · 12/01/2014 13:19

Had a bagel. It was a waitrose low cal one (175) cals?
Anyone know the syn value please.

NachoAddict · 12/01/2014 13:29

ledkr, was it a Love life, you count one? They are 8.5 syns.

If I use cheese as a healthy A, I skip cereal or put it with yogurt and syn the milk for tea/coffee so don't have too many.

NachoAddict · 12/01/2014 13:44

Homity pie looks, delicious. I will bear in mind for next weeks meal plan.

B - Banana

L - beans and poached egg on toast (b)

D - Singapore Noodles

HolidayArmadillo · 12/01/2014 13:47

Waves to fellow SWers.

I joined on Thursday after trying it last year, losing a stone in 6 weeks, getting cocky thinking I could eat anything, putting it all back on plus much to my dismay and extra 4lbs. So I start again and would like a bit of online support from you lot if that's ok, I have 6 stone to lose but am just aiming for my 10% to begin with which is 1stone 8lbs.

Ledkr · 12/01/2014 13:53

8.5 syns? balls!
Wonder what's in them?
Having a roast today but as dh is doing al cooking I shall have to breathe down his neck Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2014 14:59

yes if you use a for cheese then syn milk for cereal/tea

and bagels are awful on sw - very yummy but omfg what a waste of syns!!!! :(

Ledkr · 12/01/2014 15:25

Ill feed them to the monkeys instead.
Mind you it was a late breakfast early lunch so prob not end of the world .

NachoAddict · 12/01/2014 15:51

It's in your syn allowance ledkr so don't worry about it. Just wonder next time if they are worth it.

Hi Holiday love the name.

I was the same last time I did sw, had a good loss the first week then a gain thebswcond. I was gutted!

Ledkr · 12/01/2014 15:58

I think because you can eat so much the details are very important aren't they.
Prob half hearted today tbh.
I'm only a week post surgery and have been cooked for by many non sw members! Apple crumble for tea?
And people keep buying me sweets!
The bastards. Grin

Well done Lisa123 - that's what I find hardest is when you haven't cooked yourself, have very little control over what's on offer, and everyone else is eating and drinking freely! Good luck for tomorrow.

The homity pie that Blondes linked to is the one I made last night. It was surprisingly tasty, will definitely do it again.

Pretty good day again today...

B - fruit and yogurt
L - Ryvita (HeB) with cottage cheese, loads of fruit
D - Pasta with sauce made from loads of veggies and tomato (Parmesan as a HeA)

Have had an Alpen bar as a snack which I need to syn as I forgot I'd had ryvita at lunch time. Will also have an Options hot chocolate - It's rock 'n' roll here!

I've also booked our holiday for August - I am determined that this is the year that I can wander round the pool without worrying about what I look like, sucking bits in and whether others are thinking 'OMG'.

The SW Singapore noodles are really good. Baby was shoveling them in with his hands!

Got the leftover pork in the slow cooker with peppers, squash, sweet potato, leek, carrots and onion to make a casserole for tomorrow. Sauce made from veg stock, tomato puree, paprika, chilli and some flour to thicken. Does anyone know if there are syns in there?

Lisa I am sure you will be fine if you didn't have any other syns.

bean its great to have that motivation. Wherevare you off to? We have booked Tenerife this year.

holidaysarenice · 13/01/2014 01:44

countess I'm only doing it on here and not online/group at the moment. What day are you using as weigh in? I'm a monday.

I still have my account from before, how long will that be open if I don't attend group at the moment?

And lastly does anyone know if I can split my hea/b I.e half the cheese and half the milk of a normal healthy extra?

Or like half a b portion of nuts and half of a bread portion?

BadRoly · 13/01/2014 12:24

holidaysarenice our SW woman is very anti splitting because she says you can't do it accurately enough but I do it and it doesn't seem to have affected my weight loss if everything else is good. So I used to have 125ml milk and 1 babybel.

I've had an awful weekend SW wise but an excellent weekend 'living'! Can WI either tonight or Weds - tempted to really nail it down again today and tomorrow and keep everything crossed that I haven't gained! But I was very strict Mon-Thurs of last week so it may be ok...

Ledkr · 13/01/2014 13:46

Rachel's low fat yogurt cherry anyone?
Can't find syn value anywhere.

beanandspud · 13/01/2014 15:19

Ledkr I can't find the syns online but all of the other flavours seem to be 2.5 unless anyone can find the specific one.

B - Fruit and yogurt
L - Baked potato with big salad and cottage cheese
D - Baked salmon with fennel (SW recipe)

S - Fruit, Alpen bars and a couple of spoonfuls of leftover homity pie Blush.

Away in a hotel again tomorrow night, please send me some virtual willpower to resist the biscuits, desserts and wine that will be on offer for two days.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 13/01/2014 15:45

Ledkr · 13/01/2014 16:37

I just had a mug shot while dishing up kids tea as I was hungry and tempted.
