Hope everyone finds the new thread 😂 and new chatterboxes are welcome to join us and battle through the night feeds together (with or without the assistance of EBLL [Ewan's back left leg!) 🐏

@Lovingtyrells EBF isn’t a reliable form of contraception, I would definitely be using a back up plan.

DD has started to scream during feeds, Doctor Google tells me this could be silent reflux, which feels me with dread. I have my 6 week check on Monday so will discuss it with the GP then.

GimbleInTheWabe · 24/11/2017 23:51

Going to catch up on the thread during my next feed but I'm punching my card in for the night.

I did not cash in on his day naps today and as of 11pm he has become a boob monster and I am knackered- I am a foooool! Damn you leap 2!

See you all real soon and fx you have a better nights sleep than the one I am going to have!

anotherexhaustedpigeon · 25/11/2017 00:09

Dear lord help me 😩 DD has pretty much fed on and off ALL DAY and is showing no signs of slowing. My eyes are burning, my poor nipples are practically resting on my thighs and I am done in. I'm about to attempt the elusive Awake But Drowsy technique because I am a sadist and sleep is for the weak.

Jellybean2017 · 25/11/2017 00:46

DS was a nightmare again this eve. DH was once again suggesting we leave him to cry. However I laid down to feed instead resulting in he and I just sleeping for four hours in a row. Can't remember last time I slept that long in one stint. Probably 16 weeks ago, after he was born and he tricked me into a false sense of security!
So even though he is a little monster I am so happy! Hoping for more sleep though, is that greedy 😂
Hope the second half of everyone else's night is better.

Please, kill me now 😢😢😢

Sakura03 · 25/11/2017 03:10

Didn’t get to bed to nearly 2 am as ds decided to change it up a bit and was awake from 11.30pm until 2 am.... so I’m going to call this feed 1# boy I’m tired... he only slept 55 minutes....

Got his birth certificate done today next step is getting a passport.
Hope everyone is okay. Will try and put ds back to sleep wish me luck

AccrualIntentions · 25/11/2017 03:11

I'm so paying for a day of pretty much constant sleeping now. And tomorrow we have to get our act together enough to go for afternoon tea for my MIL's 60th. I just want to stay at home in our pyjamas Sad

Meepmoop · 25/11/2017 03:25

We managed 3 hours but now I can’t put him back in his cot without waking him up and him crying.

My DH’s friend is staying with us so I’m more conscious of his fussing although I had to put him down a minute a go as i heard the dog sneak in his room. Found him curled up on his bed, don’t think he woke him up though.

The dog is now shut in our room on the bed. So now there’s DH, dog, Cat, DS and me... cosy

NinaMarieP · 25/11/2017 03:38

We are having one of our random brilliant nights (so far!)

Bedtime feed was pretty awful (bob refusing and screaming, failed attempt to put him down even tho

NinaMarieP · 25/11/2017 03:41

...ugh he couldn't keep his eyes open, then more boob) so I fully expected to be up around 12 again. Nope, half past three!!

Evening feed started at 7pm, his second course was 8.30 so even counting from then he went 7 hours between feeds and slept for almost that long as well.

I've had 5 hours sleep and he's getting a bottle from my OH next so I can hopefully get another five (if I don't drown in my own milk first, I've already leaked past the capacity of my breast pads once tonight.)

GimbleInTheWabe · 25/11/2017 04:13

Well DS lasted longer than I thought and we got 3 1/2 hrs before I decided to change his nappy out of paranoia that he'd pooed and he was lying there in filth, of course the nappy was sans poop Hmm

Yes tbf the gp also gave me the contraception talk. I am now the proud owner of the mini pill but DP and I haven't DTD since the day before DS was born (in a last ditch attempt to 'get the bloody baby out'). I'm in the same boat of not wanting to fill myself with hormones. I was on the depo injection for a while which was absolutely awful so I went cold turkey after that and accidentally created DS.

Off to the magical world of Bromley high street later as I've got my hands on the elusive M&S constellation dress 😎 think I might buy 2 and sell one on eBay as they're going for over double the price!

Also ~insert smug face here~ as I did all my Christmas shopping yesterday 🏆

mummarosie1 · 25/11/2017 04:29

@GimbleInTheWabe I’m going to Bromley high street to return an expensive jasper Conran snow suit that an aunt bought for DD that I don’t like... I shall be looking at every mum and baby wondering whether they are you! But actually won’t be looking st anyone and will be looking away embarrassed as DD screams Debenhams down

Ceesadoo · 25/11/2017 04:31

Gimble, we're neighbours. Kind of. I lived in Bromley North til last year when I moved. How fun. Hope you get that dress. Glad you got 3.5 hours rest.

Ceesadoo · 25/11/2017 04:32

@GimbleInTheWabe you have a right to be smug

Ceesadoo · 25/11/2017 04:32

Leap 4 will kill me.

mummarosie1 · 25/11/2017 04:46

@Ceesadoo @GimbleInTheWabe seems that MN is actually bromleynet... I moved from south Bromley last year!

Sakura03 · 25/11/2017 05:33

Feed #2 after almost 2 hrs sleep, could do with a lot more though. Need to get my Tesco order sorted but really too tired to concentrate at the moment and I’ve also got to order some more nursing bra’s...

HashtagTired · 25/11/2017 06:15

My nose is blocked so woke up with a dry mouth.

Ds has been ok. Fairly standard stuff but seems more effort because of this cold I have.
Dh brought her m in to me at 1:30am so I got 4-5 hours, plus and hour or so between feeds this morning. Feeling ok. Will gave to get up in a mo though as dd will be up and dh is on the sofa so I'll send him to bed to get some more sleep.

Busy day today and we are out for a meal tonight so sleep will be slim pickings tonight.

When the sun comes up I might just take dd and ds to the park. We'll go swimming again later (they both really love it) but today I hope to palm off the children to dh for a little whilst I go on a few of the slides!! 😂

HashtagTired · 25/11/2017 06:19

Those with older children. What did you get (or are getting) them for Christmas from the younger sibling, and vice versa?

I hadn't even thought about them getting each other something but my eldest would love the idea of picking something for ds, wrapping it and giving it to him at Christmas then Watching him open it.

Any ideas?

AMagdalena · 25/11/2017 07:36

DD was restless in the night. Don't think it's constipation. Just DD being DD Hmm
I think DH needs to be served his eviction notice and start sleeping in the spare room. He wriggles too much in his sleep and takes up too much space.

I have also decided to go diary free as a trial Hopefully this helps DD. And I quite like the diary free stuff we bought this week.

AMagdalena · 25/11/2017 07:37

@Nina 7 hours sounds...inachievable!

AMagdalena · 25/11/2017 07:38

Or unachievable

Lovingtyrells · 25/11/2017 08:51

Don’t think I slept again last night ! The two hours when baby slept I was wide awake WTF. No sign of lengthening between feeds yet at 12+ wks

anotherexhaustedpigeon · 25/11/2017 08:52

@AMagdalena what makes you think dairy is an issue? I'm now on day 4 of dairy and soya free and doing ok, struggle to think of vegan dinner options though as used to eat a lot of feta, halloumi and labneh. Luckily lots of vegan takeout/restaurants near me so that's fine but just home cooking seems harder!

AMagdalena · 25/11/2017 09:29

@another Recurrent explosive, mucusy poos with streaks of blood in them, reflux, sneezing, constipation, refusal to feed, sleep issues...A GP has suggested it, another told me to not change my diet, but I think I'll give it a go. We're waiting for a peadiatrics referral to come through, but it will be ages yet before we see a doctor.
Apparently, it's acceptable for a baby to have blood in its poo as long as it's putting weight on.
I normally drink a lot milk and have a lot of cake (plenty if dairy in cake Sad), but I'd be happy to drink oat milk or coconut milk.
