I'm here! But have been asleep for a few hours 😊 lots to catch up on haha!

GimbleInTheWabe · 12/11/2017 04:12

I seem to have a baby that just doesn’t want to sleep. It doesn’t help that he’s still really congested from this cold but usually he would just zonk out for s few hours. Not tonight! Good job he’s so deliciously handsome otherwise this would be a lot more difficult.

Must. Not. Fall. Asleep.

Tired grump is full swing here too. I’m jealously glaring at my sleeping DP. Sleeping are you DP? That just be nice. Reeeally nice. Good for you, for sleeping.

Jellybabie3 · 12/11/2017 04:13

I'm awake again Sad

NinaMarieP · 12/11/2017 04:13

Oh and i discovered my OH has fixed the snuzpod to the bed the wrong way round tonight! 🤦‍♀️

KatieKookaburra26 · 12/11/2017 04:19

I’m awake with my 4 month old

NoNoCharlieRascal · 12/11/2017 04:22

Urgh ds does not want to sleep tonight. Dh is snoring away on one side of me and ds is farting away on the other.

Just finishing feed #3, hopefully this will conk him out.

GinUnicorn · 12/11/2017 04:28

Feels like we are all awake now!

NinaMarieP · 12/11/2017 04:34

Four is the new eight don’t ya know?

(Both in terms of hours of sleep and the time we are up from in the morning).

Ohb0llocks · 12/11/2017 04:51

We’re up again too!

Lallypopstick · 12/11/2017 05:52

Wow, adding a cold to a baby who doesn’t sleep well really is a wonderful thing! Angry

AMagdalena · 12/11/2017 06:17

DD managed 3 hours in her cot. THANK YOU, child. However, she has been up every 2 hours since the 1st wake up...

AMagdalena · 12/11/2017 06:24

Oh and she just spat up milk straight at me while blowing a raspberry. Lovely!

theotherendofthesockportal · 12/11/2017 06:30

DD woke up at 4.45 for a feed which DH did. Now she is refusing to go back to sleep and is crying whenever we put her in her crib. So much for me having a night off! I can’t let her cry, it’s like a dagger to my head.

Ohb0llocks · 12/11/2017 07:07

It’s looking like our day starts here!

mummarosie1 · 12/11/2017 07:19

We eventually got to sleep at 1am... talk about overtired ratty baby

On another note, my DP is back to work today (he had 4 weeks off as DD was in hospital for the firs two) so this is my first day flying solo... wish me luck 🙏🏻

HashtagTired · 12/11/2017 08:03

You won’t need it @mummarosie1 you’ll be just fine!

I didn’t get any sleep until 4am, ds was just too restless. I fed him lying down in bed and set up a co sleeping arrangement for the rest of the ‘night’ (which was rapidly turning to day!). It was only a foot to the left of where he normally sleeps in his snuzpod but it worked and I got 2 hours before another feed then a cheeky hour.

I’m now downstairs making scotch pancakes 🥞

We're up too. Did every hour after 4am. Poor ds tummy kept him awake. Griping pains and straining to fart.....here comes another day of googling what to do to help him. Hate seeing him like that Sad dh has gone to make coffee. ..i am left bf a hiccupy baby

HashtagTired · 12/11/2017 09:43

@Jellybabie3 have you been to baby massage classes? Might help?

OP posts:
Jellybabie3 · 12/11/2017 10:22

We do baby massage before bed just from what we know. Hv is arranging home visit classes as i cant drive. Fx they will happen soon. They work for you?

Jellybabie3 · 12/11/2017 11:06

His poo stinks!

HashtagTired · 12/11/2017 11:46

Nah. Not really. But they work for some. Worth a go.
I’m doing weekly classes at the moment so I haven’t really had the chance to get it to work to be honest.

WhoAteaAllthePercyPigs · 12/11/2017 13:29

Re. baby massage, we tried it with DD. She hated the classes, screamed the place down (the only baby to do so). But some of the techniques have come in useful with sore tummies or trapped wind. Tbh I'd just Google it and save your money - but that's just my experience..

Anyone else recovering from a section? Think I've seen a few posts. Mine wasn't planned and I'm getting very frustrated with what I can't do! It's so hard to avoid doing stuff, especially with a toddler, and I'm finding night feeds aren't doing me much good - getting into position etc. Hurry up six weeks time!

Jellybabie3 · 12/11/2017 15:11

Thanks thats good to know. I will try the classes but he doesnt seem to like the massages we give! Mine are free so atleast I have nothing to lose. DS is now having a solo nap....fx!

I am recovering from an ecs. It sucks. I think being stuck here has made me loae my marbles Hmm

theotherendofthesockportal · 12/11/2017 16:02

@WhoAteaAllthePercyPigs I had a section, it was an emergency and if I’m honest I am still coming to terms with it. My DD was a footling breech who decided to come 5 weeks early.

My recovery hit a set back last week as my tumble dryer caught fire and I had to bundle DD out of the house in a hurry and burst part of my scar. Physically I’m very weak and can’t do much, mentally I’m a bit down about it all but in the road to recovery. I’m seeing the new year as a fresh start when I should feel a lot better.
