What's the world coming to!

avenanap · 29/09/2008 18:16

It's over run by bloody rocking horses!

AbbyMumsnet · 29/09/2008 18:16

What, our party isn't happening? That's it, I'm downing forceps.

Oh I see - would hampers help? Hampers all round!

Can we quote you on that Justine?

Like I have just have, but with more meaning.

PortAndLemon · 29/09/2008 18:18

It's all under control (ish), apparently. Alternative venues are being sought and the heavy squad are trying to get our deposit back.

avenanap · 29/09/2008 18:19

Hamper for meee too please!

NappiesGalore · 29/09/2008 18:19

i am supposed to be assisting flame to find a new venue. and instead i am sitting in my kitchen eating 9 packets of choc buttons and a tin of uncle joes mint balls.
sorry about that everyone.

Flamesparrow · 29/09/2008 18:20

Not such a big fan of choc, but would force some down obv.

Yes, venue tits up. cancelled the booking as we can't guarantee licence back, but now on the hunt for a new place and they are getting booked up fast. But... "our" venue... there be no MNHQ names on the list still

Flamesparrow · 29/09/2008 18:20

Oh damn, now I want choc buttons

PortAndLemon · 29/09/2008 18:20

I think that may count as (ish)...

avenanap · 29/09/2008 18:21

Fortnum and Mason do some lovely hampers. Lovely cake!

Anyone will do, I'm not picky.

Flamesparrow · 29/09/2008 18:24

I'm thinking - 'nother road trip, no kids, crash on DSis' floor

JustineMumsnet · 29/09/2008 18:28

We actually do have one hamper here at MN Towers - it's got nothing in it though...

avenanap · 29/09/2008 18:29

pop down to F&M and fill it, then send it to........... Flame. She may be more deserving than me.

Flamesparrow · 29/09/2008 18:31

I'll send on the stuff I don't like half to you

avenanap · 29/09/2008 18:36

Aww. Thanks. That would be the chocolate then.

JustineMumsnet · 29/09/2008 18:37

We've probably got the odd Rich Tea floating about too...

AbbyMumsnet · 29/09/2008 18:39

I thought our names had been added - i know I said yes to some list somewhere. Christ, what have I signed up for now? Please tell me it wasn't the PTA.

Flamesparrow · 29/09/2008 18:41

You could well have signed up and I not checked

Will link the thread.

I like rich tea

Flamesparrow · 29/09/2008 18:41

ere

avenanap · 29/09/2008 18:41

Hmm. Rich Tea. I used to eat these as a child. I'd dunk them in my tea and they would fall to bits. Lemon thins are nice. Nice biscuits......... (avenanap's sitting, thinking of biscuits that have failed her dunk test)....... I hate the milk ones.

No cake?

Flamesparrow · 29/09/2008 18:42

ooh I like th emilk ones, I suck em

AbbyMumsnet · 29/09/2008 18:43

Oh , it must have been the PTA.

Am sure we are planning to come to something though - so let us know when/where once you've sorted somewhere safe and clean.

avenanap · 29/09/2008 18:44

Cake. Let us eat cake. Yum!

Blackforest gateau! Lemon drizzle.......

JustineMumsnet · 29/09/2008 18:44

We could probably lob in a box of Mr Kipling's Cherry Bakewells...
