The account was attacked by GC people because they believed the murdered woman was trans. Members on this board shared it to amplify the attacks. They didn't care about this woman - they just saw a trans person being murdered and decided it was fair game. The fact that she wasn't trans didn't matter to them - she wasn't sufficiently feminine enough for their liking. The hypocrisy is vile.

If this is true, and members of this site amped up the attacks on this woman while mods allowed it, it's seriously disgusting.

It's all going too far. You need to rethink your guidelines on this.

I agree with you. The GC lobby on here has become worse than the group they despise. I can’t read it anymore. It makes me sick to my stomach.

I will be jumped on for this. I always am. I won’t answer any mentions for reasons I don’t wish to go into here. But OP you are not alone.

Ahhh - another... who won't answer because of 'reasons' (no cogent argument one assumes)...

Come on - there is simply a group of people who are prepared to be open and honest about truth, reality, biology - no-one is being despised (other than your reaction)

  • there is actually a lot of compassion for those who have been lead down dark allies to believe falsehoods such that they are then willing to damage their own bodies in order to belong with the group leading them astray
  • there is compassion for the mental health issues so evident in those who look at their male / female body and somehow believe themselves to be the opposite sex.
  • Perhaps a little less compassion for those who deliberately look to oppress and bully women - but despise is a big word and there is little evidence of that.

The 'gender critical movement' isnt a movement.

All sorts of people know that biological sex is real.

Left wing people, right wing people. Nice people, nasty people.

You cannot control what people think.

You guys really just need to get over this.

One cannot argue with DNA. That isn't a 'belief' or a 'movement' or 'GC' or anything else, it is irrefutable scientific fact.

I don't care whether someone is straight, LGBTQetc or whatever else. They are all people to me, and I will get along with everyone just fine just so long as they don't try to take my rights away from me because they think their rights override mine.

I am sorry to hear that - and as I said, there is a lot of compassion on here...

it does seem a little strange therefore that you would spend that time posting on a thread about people you despise to the extent that it makes you sick...

I am sure that you will understand that there is a natural reluctance to accept some of the hyperbole posted on here especially when it is not cogent, and we often see people who come on, post aggressively and attack those on here, and then refuse to answer or justify their attack...

anyway, no need to despise us on here - we are very friendly really - especially to those who want genuine discussion, support women to have rights and stand up against bullies etc.

all the best for you and your mother.

The OP was not getting a high handed pasted as you claim, the veracity of their claims, which the OP admitted were second/third/fourth hand not directly seen by their good selves, were quite righly challenged.

MNHQ confirmed that the Op's version of events was indeed incorrect.

Information about the murder victim was shared on the site to drive more users over to harass the murder victim. The fact that anyone thinks this site is a worthy home for that kind of thing is indicative of the culture here.

Just for anyone joining the thread at this point, the events as outlined in this ^ post by the OP categorically did not happen.

Amazing to see the same tactics of misinformation, emotional blackmail and obfuscation being employed on this thread too. It's like TRAs don't believe the rest of Mumsnet can read!

Considering you do not understand that Wills are a legal document and should be followed to the letter, with no deviations, unless a judge/court agrees... I think anything you have to say should be taken with a bloody huge pinch of salt.

Yes I read that whole batshit thread and certain names jumped out as not understanding the law or moral ethics or reality . Different subject, similar response. It might be time to take a beat?

I have never written anything which justifies you writing that first sentence.

A will must be followed in full. What a person who receives a legacy dies with it then is entirely up to them.

I pressed your button on that other thread when I suggested that for me it would be the moral thing to do to share the legacy, didn't I?

"Movement" does require agitating for change though doesn't it? The Sufferagettes were a movement agitating for votes for women. The Womens Liberation Movement was a movement that pushed in the 60s-80s that radical changes furthering women's economic, psychological, and social freedoms was necessary for women to progress from being second-class citizens in their societies. Gender Critical feminism is less of a movement than simply saying "no thanks, we don't want to give up those rights" in the face of a regressive movement that holds male sadness as being more important than women's rights. They aren't agitating for change, they are steadfastly pointing out the sexism and stupidity of changes that a the TRA movement is agitating for, that society was temporarily gaslit into going along with briefly before sanity returned. No new laws need to be passed for GC feminism to prevail, only existing laws need to be upheld against the sexist attacks they are currently weathering.

Edited

We are agitating for change. We are agitating for change in the minds of all the people who think it's ok to make women share single sex spaces with men, have men on women's shortlists and have men in women's sports, especially when those views are held by people in power.

And we are agitating for change by all the organisations which are refusing to comply with the law, like Hampstead Ponds.

The announcement yesterday by the NHS would, imo, not have happened without the GC movement, it would just have merrily carried on putting men on women's wards, and claimed clinical pressures as the cause, forever more.

Imdunfer · 16/10/2026 14:57

@akkakk what does it matter if it is a movement or not?

It doesn't. So why on earth are some people on this thread so anxious and defensive about me calling it a movement?
