Hi - I just got this pop up
My son said it's from your site, not from my browser (he works in IT Support so he knows his stuff).
I'm running Chrome on Windows
Sorry, not sure which post I was on as I'd looked at a few!

@TravelInsuranceQ thanks for flagging this and for providing the screenshot.

Please could you let us know what device you're using, and if it crops up again can you tell us whereabouts you were on the site at the time.

We'll try to get it blocked as soon as we can.

TravelInsuranceQ · 10/11/2024 22:54

Hi
I'm using a Windows pc
I've been away for the weekend so haven't seen it since.
I'll keep an eye out for it though
Thanks

I had this earlier today too - can't remember what page I was on, but also on a Windows PC, using Chrome. It automatically me off of the MN page entirely - really bad.

LittleRedY0shi · 10/11/2024 22:57

Sorry, typo - automatically redirected me off the Mumsnet page entirely.

HebeMumsnet · 13/11/2024 12:55

Thanks for the further sightings @LittleRedY0shi @ToffeeForEveryone and others.

We think we have blocked this now. If you're still seeing it could you try clearing cookies? That should get rid of it but do let us know if not. Thank you. Flowers

Missingthesea · 13/11/2024 20:06

I had this a few minutes ago. Microsoft Edge on a laptop.

RedDiamond · 13/11/2024 20:07

Me too. Chrome on laptop.

LittleRedYoshi · 17/12/2024 13:48

I've had this AGAIN. Not the same browser as before (I used to use Chrome, now I use Edge), so nothing to do with cookies. It was whilst viewing this page:

MNHQ - is your approach still to just block individual adverts as when people come across them, or are you looking at more wholesale changes to your advertising to resolve this? This isn't the only instance of dodgy ads and they seem to be getting more and more frequent - your current approach isn't working.

This is possibly the pettiest thing to ever be posted on here but I need to know if I'm going insane. I (F25) purchased myself a Rhode phone ca...

Hi Lily - did you see my message above? Cached content and cookies are not causing this.

ShamblesRock · 17/12/2024 22:14

It has done it on a couple of threads for me tonight too. Both in AIBU.

JoMumsnet · 18/12/2024 18:18

Just to update you all, we've been informed that this is a security issue across multiple publishers. The company's security team is on the case and working to resolve this, so we'll let you know as soon as we've had an update from them.

In the meantime we're really sorry for all the disruption this is causing.
