Virus scam appearing only when on Mumsnet

Just wondering if anyone else has had this?
As in the title I'm getting frequent "warnings", supposedly from McAfee, claiming I've got various viruses and inviting me to click a link (not done of course)

I don't use McAfee anyway and they're not from them - their site has images of a common scam which matches these - but it only happens when I'm clicked onto Mumsnet

Anyone know what's happening by any chance?

I'm getting it too. All day. Get a few replies into a thread then it freezes and goes to the fake warning screen. On the laptop, not on my phone.

I thought it might be sorted after the last few days, but only been on here 4 minutes and had it twice already...

Had it three times on this thread alone, including a pop up saying PC infected with a virus.

Happened again,thirty seconds ago, on laptop running Firefox. I'd literally just gone to the thread about Splitting Fruitcake - and there it was again.

I'm getting the blank pages too, on microsoft edge.

then occasionally getting the DDOS I'm not a robot screen.

Ad blocker extension on chrome seems to be solving it for me.

Not had any popups or blank pages on edge since I put ad blocker on this afternoon

I've had it only on mumsnet too - particularly when I'm in chat.

Came to see if anyone else was reporting it tonight, and ironically it's been happening even more on this thread whilst I was trying to read it, than anywhere else.

I'm being plagued by this. 95% of the time I can't read the threads as I just get redirected to dodgy sites that thankfully my virus software is blocking. Usually happens when I start scrolling. It's unacceptable.

Using Windows 11.

Installed Adblocker but still getting the blank page thing, now almost every couple of minutes. Surely if everyone is running adblocker it's going to hit Mumsnet revenue? But if we HAVE to run an adblock just to be able to view the site...?

Mumsnet is pretty much unusable for me now on both my laptops, using Chrome or Edge, same issues as reported by previous posters.

What IS this blank page thing? It only started for me yesterday and now, even with adblocker it's every couple of minutes? Is everyone getting this? It's not happening on any other site or forum.

I'm on Dell desk top pc using chrome.

I'm having the same problem, and have been for a few days. I agree with PPs - it's putting me off using the site as it's incredibly frustrating. I'd also appreciate a fix.

I’m on iPhone and not getting this exact problem but constant freezing/crashing. It also takes out all the other windows I’ve got open on safari so I can’t use them whilst MN is freaking out. Have to do a hard quit on the browser app, so clearly it’s something going wrong on a very deep level. Phone also heating up whilst this is going on.

I've started getting this recently, both the blank white screen and the 'DDOS I'm not a robot' page. Also freezing of this page, plus any other open tabs. It's becoming more frequent every day and is making the site unusable.
I'm using Microsoft Edge on HP laptop.
After finding this thread today and seeing how long it's been running with no resolution, I'm going to put an adblocker on. I appreciate that that affects your income stream and I apologise, but it's that or stop using Mumsnet completely.

@mnhq @BeckyAMumsnet @HebeMumsnet @JoMumsnet @LilyMumsnet would you please update us on what is being done to fix this, plus reassurance that the infection is at your end and has not been transferred to ours.

I've also had the fake McAfee page a couple of times, I think when I've been using Chrome

And I've had the blank white screen five times, on different pages, since my last message above. Site's unusable

and here's todays.

it feels like the site is fundamentally insecure.

Why is this happening? Why is it constantly happening? Why doesn't mumsnet know why it is happening and how to stop it?

I've attempted to browse Mumsnet on my laptop today - having given up last week and only been using my phone - and hey ho, I'm having the same problem on nearly every thread I click on (auto-forwarding to the "robot" page today).
