Constantly crashing and freezing.

This started about 3 weeks ago with constant crashing. Now it’s freezing too and taking ages to load,

It’s so so bad

It’s got the the point that I can’t open Safari with mumsnet loaded. Have had to use chrome on my iPhone which is annoying af.

No I don’t have blockers.

Is there any further update on this- it's clearly not ad blockers causing the issue as many of us don't have those at all.

This is not improving at all. Any updates on what the problem is and when it will be rectified?

I’m just coming to say l’m kind of giving up.

If its in normal browser it crashes constantly, prevents other sites loading, AND a new thing, prevents other sites loading even when you’ve closed everything for about 5 minutes.

On private it’s crashing more and more and is a ball ache to constantly log in.

It’s not worth the hassle

the freezing and reloading is worse than ever. I’m not using adblockers. Is there any update @LilyMumsnet ? Thank you

@LilyMumsnet So glad I found this thread before I went out and bought a new iPad. The site is unusable. I just loaded the site to look for a thread in case it’s you, and it’s crashed twice before I’ve been able to post. I’m on safari and don’t have blockers. Cookies cleared. Updates installed. The adverts just don’t load and it hangs and then crashes. It’s impossible to go back or load any other site when it happens, the only option for me is to restart the iPad.

Not only is moving to private browsing just for MN annoying due to having to log in every time, but now even that is freezing

In regular mode MN is freezing all of Safari

Since there have been no updates I am assuming @MNHQ are hoping that we will all just go away

Ffs sort this out the site is barely useable

I was having the issues mentioned last night and this morning, then it got better around lunchtime. It was also affecting the other tabs that I had open.

I’m on iPhone safari, posts set to 100 per page (prefer 1000 but had to reduce due to a previous tech issue!)

It was the answering phone before dinner thread that crashed for me in AIBU

Yup on my phone I-phone 14 using safari it takes ages to load and then jumps constantly

laptop - Microsoft edge - it’s freezing all my tabs and I have to restart my laptop

I thought it was my iPhone

@MNHQ are you updating on this issue? I now cannot access the site on iPad at all and any attempt crashes safari completely and requires clearing all website data to force it to stop trying to load.
Editing to add all other sites load fine including adverts so it’s definitely you not us.

@DawnMumsnet I’m not sure if this thread is still active or if I need to start a new one? Screenshots as requested, the first one shows no advert loading at the top- this froze my whole screen, couldn’t even scroll for a full 60 seconds. The second shot shows the ad when it eventually loaded. iPhone, safari. Thanks

The only way I can look at threads is to go through my email ( ones I’m on) other wise it just freezes
is anyone at mnhq actually trying to sor this out 🤔

Yes it’s impossible now, I’m away at the moment so only able to use the site on my phone and it is constantly freezing, sometimes after five minutes sometimes almost immediately. It’s taken me several attempts to get onto this thread and read pages one and five (because I’m expecting this to freeze again any moment). Initially I thought it was Wi-Fi problems or also happening on other sites, but it’s just this one. Any updates or solutions? I’m using an iPhone and Safari.

It doesn’t seem so does it? The op posted 3 weeks ago, and it’s been playing up much longer than that.
Techie people should have been able to sort it in days, if not hours, seems like they are just leaving it as is!

This is what I’m getting today, an endless wait for things to load.

But they continue to ignore it. Even though they’ve responded to other site stuff which has been posted later.

It would be nice if MN would tell us something, even if it's to say that they don't understand what the issue is or have failed to replicate it internally or anything at all really! Right now it feels like we're just shouting into the breeze.
