Constantly crashing and freezing.

This started about 3 weeks ago with constant crashing. Now it’s freezing too and taking ages to load,

It’s been like this for weeks for me too. It started when all the massive, third of a page, moving ads started up i think.
I’m using Safari on iPad.

I’m using it in iPhone.

Its constant.

Mine also, when clicking on another thread title to view, briefly flashes up a thread I’ve previously clicked on at some time that day, before switching to the one I’ve actually clicked on, even though that briefly flashed one isn’t in any of my open tabs or anything. It’s bizarre.

Thanks for letting us know and our apologies for the problems you're experiencing with the site.

We're going to look into what is causing the issue and in the meantime, it would be helpful to know which device and browser you're using to access Mumsnet (if you've not already told us). If you're on iOS, please let us know which version.

I've also got this on Chrome on a Windows PC.

I'm experiencing this too, it's really annoying. It seems to be when there's a HUGE advert, it won't let me scroll past and then freezes. I'm using it on an android phone on Chrome

MN has been virtually unusable today. It's really bad.

I thought it was my iPad playing up.

I’ve found this the last few weeks. I’m on iPhone using safari.
Constantly takes ages to load/freezes….. it’s unusable really.
Doesn’t happen with any other sites/pages.

I find it strange such a large site would be so unpleasant to use.

Took me about 4 minutes to get onto this topic to post my comment!
Page starts to load, then just stops.
Nothing clicks.
End up having to swipe the tab away entirely and start again. Multiple times, until it eventually loads…….

It's the NatWest ads for me. Freezing my screen every few seconds. Infuriating.

It’s difficult to get pictures because they are just empty pages.

It happens on all areas of the site.

I have these from yesterday when it wouldn’t load. Time is in the top corner.

I get this too with MN on Google on my I Pad. I thought there was something wrong with its connection to the WiFi! It takes ages to load a page; and usually freezes when the blue line is 4/5th across the top of the page; or it won’t scroll down. My I phone is fine!

I get it on my iPhone too - it’s the ads loading causing it - didn’t use to happen

I like to click on active topics and then watch the ones I’m interested in so I can come back to them later.
But increasingly the page is either freezing or resetting itself so you have to go back to the top and start again as the threads I’ve chosen to watch aren’t on the watch list, if that makes sense. It’s really frustrating and has been happening more and more over the last few weeks.
I also think it could be due to big adverts.

Glad to see this - thought it was my phone playing up.

I also keep getting this on my phone and I thought it was either my phone or Internet playing up. It's almost as if someone is trying to censor what I'm reading on mumsnet, the screen suddenly throws me out and takes me back to the main page. I then have to scroll down and hope the thread I was reading is still listed and hasn't disappeared. I now go through the active list and if there's anything that looks interesting, I quickly add it to my watch list in case the same thing happens again. Been happening for a few weeks now.

Yes, me too. Using Safari on iPhone. Doesn't seem to happen on the app but I don't like the format so just means I'm using mn A LOT less than usual! Very frustrating with the freezing and taking ages to load
