Massive ads taking over screen again

This happened a few weeks ago and appeared resolved. Now it’s happening again. Full screen taken over and a message to rotate screen. I’m on safari on an iPad.

Mine, too. Again. Chrome on an iPad.

(also eugh, why doesn’t everyone have dark mode enabled?)

Same happening here, Safari/iPad. Yes I have cleared my cache.

We need the link(s) to where the advert takes you after you click it - this is a huge help when locating where they are coming from. Could you please click on the advert next time you see it, and copy the URL?

I’m getting the same as all the screenshots. I’m on an iPad and I use landscape view.

@LilyMumsnet im on iPad/safari and I’m getting the same advert as above too. It won’t let me click on the advert, just says to rotate my device. When I rotate it, the ad disappears. It looks as thought it’s from the DfE.

If I click to the side of the black space it takes me here

Just get an ad blocker. I've never had issues with ads on this site.

Yes same here, it’s still happening today, just asks to rotate device.

I’m not clicking on the link - then you just get spammed with similar ads for ages.

We've attempted a block from our side - if you're still seeing this advert, please could you clear your cache and cookies for Mumsnet? It's very possible that your browser is remembering the advert.

Still getting this every 5 mins but will do teh cache thing and see

Thanks for the thread @PinkTonic I couldn’t be bothered to try and report again but yes I’m getting it all the time on iPad safari too.

While I’m having a moan…. Why do I lose the thread if I click a different tab or leave the browser? Before you could leave the thread open, browse something else and then return back later and it would be open exactly where I left it. Now it refreshes to the home page every time. Even after a minute or two.

I’ve been getting the same for the last few days, using Safari on an iPad as well. It’s happened again this morning, which is how I found this thread!

It’s still happening for me and yes @MamaGhina the same has been happening to me for MONTHS there is a thread on it in site but mumsnet claim they don’t know why it’s happening, it’s a permanent feature now and seems no one gives a shit about it, what with that and this bloody advert taking over constantly it completely ruins the experience of using this site.

I’ve just started a thread about this in Chat, didn’t realise there was a site stuff part!

I reported it to MN, had emails asking me to completely clean up my iPad, remove all traces of MN, log in again etc, but it’s still there.

come on MNHQ, sort it out!

@HebeMumsnet - there doesn’t seem to be a URL, it just plasters itself above a normal page, the only URL showing is of the legitimate MN page. Clicking on the ad doesn’t seem to bring up another page or URL.

Hadn't had this since the 22nd, but it's back again. And yes, I did clear my cache etc
